Amazing food, service and the portion sizes are huge!!! I dined in for my first visit and all though the server was working the registering and waiting tables he did a great job making sure we had what we needed. The ambiance was pretty causal and I loved all the plants. For my entree I ordered the orange chicken and I was shocked by the amount of food. The portion was enough to serve 4 people. I also ordered a side of veggies. But the orange chicken had a great balance of flavors and came out hot and fresh. The veggies needed season but were also hot and fresh. I look forward to dining here again. This will be one of my new lunch spots when in the area.

Third visit second review & last of 2025. Flawless! Massive portions & awesome flavor even without the spice I'm a 0 to .5 guy on spice level but it's undeniable this is a must try you have to go to this family style portion restaurant and when you finish you have enough food to eat the next 2 days completely worth it. The service was perfect for dine in or take out. Definitely keep it secret keep it safe secret Thai‼ in my picture below is the orange chicken which is a massive portion just put the sauce on the side to preserve the crispiness of the chicken for later on that she just reheating the air fryer and the Thai shrimp fried rice squeeze the lime on there for the extra kick.

The food here is tasty, the serving sizes are large, and if you request it - or miscalculate - it'll be spicy enough that you'll regret your life choices. Excellent. The restaurant itself is a bit small, and cars tend to scrape on the curb getting in and out of the parking lot, but overall I definitely recommend it.

Small family owned restaurant in Chalmette! The food is delicious and the portions are huge! Be careful on the spice because I typically get medium which I'd say is a 2/3 at other Thai restaurants but here a 1 is too much spice for me! I love their drunken noodles and the different stir fry vegetables! Tonight I tried crab rangoon here for the first time and I typically don't like them but the ones here are great. They use a mixture of imitation and real crab meat and the real crab really enhanced the flavor. The chicken satay is also a great appetizer and the peanut sauce and cucumber onion sauce were both really good. If you love Thai definitely check this place out!

    Larb- excellent!

Still flawless food, good service and a comfortable atmosphere. It's been a few years since I have been here, and it was better than I remembered. Each dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Looking forward to retuning soon!

This is my favorite restaurant of all time no exaggeration Seriously I've had excellent even outstanding Thai food, but nothing has come close, not even in the same ballpark to this heaven on earth You can tell when people from love. The portions are more than generous and prices are better than anything in the city with three times the amount of food. When I see reviews with people complaining about the wait for the food I have corrected them and explained that they make everything from scratch per order and they are complicated because they have a lot of ingredients I cook Thai food. I've worked at Thai restaurants. I had 2 very good Thai cooks as roommates at the restaurant that I worked at previously My favorite dishes are som tom- which is a green papaya salad with poo dang (Pickled fermented crab). MUST TRY!!!!! if you don't wanna eat pickled fermented crab just get it with. the shrimp Nam Touk (waterfall beef salad) Pad Ghang fried fish in eggplant curry I love the seafood soup and larb These dishes are very flavorful and shock the senses For the newbies the curries are OUTSTANDING and not from a paste in a can like most places. Yes it's painful, and time seeking to make such a complex dish so almost every restaurant you go to uses the same stuff you can get from Asian grocer in a can For people who are in doubt just try it The reviews don't lie! If you're in doubt you're gonna wanna slap yourself once you finally go Now if they could just come to the city or somebody from that family marry me so I can have it all the time that would be good

My friend and I went today and we were highly impressed with the portions and the yumminess of everything. The green tea was amazing, a must try if you've never had it before. The orange chicken has to be one of the best I've ever had and my friend totally agreed! It was lightly battered, big chunks of fresh chicken, full of flavor it came with Jasmine rice and the ghost Pad Thai was amazing.

    Beef salad

This place is crazy! The portions are huge! And they have a spice system all their own starting at .5 which is quite spicy and then a1 which is very spicy and so on. We got the red curry no stars, the ghost gate pad thai with 1 star and the beef salad with .5 star. It was all very delicious! Especially the ghost gate pad thai which I've never had pad Thai like that before. The curry was quite spicy without any stars, the beef salad was pretty spicy and the pad Thai was very spicy. It was so much food probably could've fed 5 people. And the prices are decent for the amount of food you get. We went on a very cold day. After we left my sinuses were cleared, my mouth was burning a lot & I was no longer cold, lol. Just be ware, the after burn is real!

Adjusted review. Secret Thai is a well-oiled machine that now churns out their food efficiently. The restaurant was spotless and they are sufficiently staffed. As always and as per my previous review, their food is DELICIOUS. Go get you some!!!

I known what you're thinking, "is this place worth the drive to CHALMETTE?" to you I say "HELL YES!!!!" The exterior is not much to look at but what waits for you inside will not disappoint. First start by picking the spice/heat level. I like heat a lot but I would not go above 2 maybe 2.5. Portions are huge so be ready to take some home. My fiends and I order the following Fried tofu, drunken noodles, orange chicken, red curry and the Kow Soy. All of it was delicious! I plan on making it a monthly dinner.

Wow, this place is way out there, but the servings are huge and extremely affordable. The food is tasty although I wish I had ordered everything to be at a scale of 1.5 because that would've been the perfect heat. The vegetables are nicely and the atmosphere is really pretty and the service was pleasant. It's really a beautiful brightly colored space and a tiny strip mall in Chalmette and the food is really really good. Will be back.

Thai food can sometimes be hit or miss for me, and I'm usually pretty particular about what I order. I don't tend to branch out too much when it comes to Thai food because I already know what I like. But this place definitely impressed me. From the rice dishes to the noodle dishes, everything was seasoned perfectly and packed with flavor. Each bite was delicious, and I really enjoyed how well-balanced all the flavors were. It was the kind of meal where you just keep eating and forget you were supposed to take pictures in the first place! The restaurant itself is spacious and has a really beautiful aesthetic. I loved the combination of the artwork and exposed brick walls. Together, they create this rustic, cozy feel that makes the space feel both stylish and inviting. The ordering process is pretty simple. They give you a menu when you arrive, and then you head up to the register to place your order and pay. The food was flavorful, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was quick and easy. I'm glad I decided to give this place a try, and I'd definitely come back to enjoy another meal here.

When I first walked in, it took about five minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Once a waitress finally came over, I explained that I was placing an order to go, so I headed over to the bar area. The bartender greeted me and things started off pretty smoothly until he informed me that all of the cooks had just gone to lunch and it would be about a 20 minute wait before they could even take my order. Normally I probably would've gone somewhere else, but it was getting later in the day and several of the other restaurants in the neighborhood were getting close to closing, so I decided to wait. Once the cooks returned, he took my order, but then I was told their credit card machine was down and they were only accepting cash or Zelle. Luckily, I had cash, so that wasn't a huge problem. However, after paying, I noticed I was shorted about 86 cents in change. When I asked about it, I was told they didn't have any change available. It wasn't enough money for me to make a big deal about, so I just let it go, but it was still another small inconvenience added to the experience. I waited another 20 minutes or so and started noticing food coming out of the kitchen. The bartender brought several to-go orders out and placed them on the counter. After another 10 minutes passed, I finally started wondering where my food was. One of the hostesses asked for my name, checked through the orders sitting on the counter, and sure enough my order had already been sitting there At that point, I was definitely frustrated. It honestly felt like everything that could've gone wrong during my first visit somehow did. Once I got home and finally sat down to eat, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The quality of the food made me understand why people enjoy this place, and I would definitely be willing to give Thai Nola another try. I just really hope my next visit comes with a smoother customer service experience because the food deserves better.
