The manager called me back today. Most of the stylists working at the salon rent out the space, so they don't get much with Groupon. I guess that Groupon takes 60%. I've been here a couple of times for different services and always had good results. Just had a wash and style (not blow dry) with Mandi and she was super sweet and did a good job. I recently injured my back and it's become difficult for me to wash my own hair so I went to Secrets and had it done. Mandi was compassionate and accommodating so I would be comfortable. She brought a pillow to the wash basin and did a good shampoo job since I told her I couldn't wash my hair. She then styled my curly hair using good curl products and my curls came out great. It was reasonably priced too which I really appreciated cause some other salons I called wanted to charge me the same price as for a blow dry! I'll definitely be back for some other services in the near future. read more

I came here on a Groupon and met with Anthony. He was just amazing! A truly gifted person that cares about his craft and extremely talented. I came today in not really knowing what I wanted to do with my hair and he knew just what to do to make me super happy! From the hair dye to the haircut and blowdry, you could immediately tell he truly knows what he's doing and is AMAZING at it. Super satisfied. So I moved out to the Valley almost two years ago. My boyfriend is extremely picky about who cuts his hair (it's curly, so it's not easy!), and I won't lie I'm just about as picky on my hair and waxing. I ended up looking for salons in the area...this one wasn't the closest but for some reason when it popped up on the map(not sure if it was the name or what) but they are the ones I called! I explained I needed someone to cut my boyfriends hair that is really good with men's haircuts... they had me book an appt. for him with Angela... I then booked an appt. with Cassie for waxing. Cassie was absolutely amazing! She was so nice and gave me a list of really neat places to check out since we just moved here and things like that. Before I moved here I went through at least ten different estheticians to find one, how lucky I was to find the perfect person the first place we went to(I have extremely sensitive skin, but she has found the perfect solution to help with my break outs)! I absolutely recommend her to anyone!!! Now as for Angela and the haircut(I was much more nervous for this one), he absolutely was happy with her too. She is extremely, nice and funny, and so much fun. I ended up seeing her too, and now almost two years later we are still committed to Angela and Cassie! Thank you both! read more

This place is kinda cheesy & outdated from the outside, but very polite & friendly & clean inside. I had never been here before, but my friend started working from this salon recently. It's very spacious & not crowded, like the place he was in before. There's a very friendly vibe in here, and I made a friend while I was wAiting for my hair dye. Ruben, is the guy to see for perfection & does amazing style & design. He knows all about hair color to match just perfect, so it looks natural. I will def be back here again soon! read more

This place is like a factory. people in. people out. they did not care too much about the job they were doing. i went in for a strawberry blonde and left with a dark maroon. i was so sad. i looked like a werido. KARLA the owner was who i had an appointment. and she did a terrible job. they make themselves out to be, this young hip place, when in fact the place had quite a few senior citizens. nothing wrong with the elderly but i wanted a hip young hair cut and when all you are doing in press and curls how would you expect to do something chic? KARLA was who did mine and she asked me where i worked. i dont her i went to school full time. then she asked 'well how do you pay your bills if you dont have a job?' (BTW... that is none of her business)... my husband supports me, i responded. she then goes on to say 'well dont you miss or want independence? dont you like feel the need to make your own money?' i said this is not really questions i feel is okay to be asking.' she wasn't being friendly while asking those questions. more like integrating. then she gives me the most terrible job on my hair. since she is the owner i was expecting a little bit of talent, but there was none. if she can't do a decent job how is she able to hire people that do? go somewhere else!!! read more

I went here today for the first time, had a leg and lip wax with Cassie. She did an excellent job. Nice looking salon, it's much bigger inside than you think from the outside. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly, professional staff, and the day spa area where they do the treatments is very attractive. Not the cheapest place in the area but it's certainly not the most expensive. There's lots of good products available to buy, but no-one tried to push stuff on me and there was no up-selling or pressure. I would definitely recommend this place and I'm definitely going back for other treatments in the future. read more

i wish i could give this place a better review. my experience here has just been with hair and nothing else so take that into consideration when reading this. i gave this place a try because my mom insisted this was a great place. i saw the lady who styled her hair (who i think now owns the place) and she looked at me, made a recommendation, and walked away passing me to some random new girl starting out. i went for some highlights, and i swear i didn't look any different when living. 150 so dollars later, i regretted coming here. everyone seems to get a rush job at this place when it comes to hair. read more

She cut and color like no one can and belive me I went through alot hair people, Kit is so awesome that she color, cut and blow dry my hair to a wedding,...i had to wear a helmet on a back of a Harley all the to Las Vegas. So excited! Took a chance on this salon after going to the same place in Santa Monica for 3 years. Called to make an appointment asking for someone who was good with color. Just by chance, Angela answered the phone and said she was available. How lucky was I! She is amazing and my hair is beautiful. After spending a LOT of money for highlights over the hill or on Ventura Boulevard, I tried Secrets on the recommendation of a friend. For about half the price, Andrea did an AMAZING jog on my hair. I need highlights and lowlights and she weaved them in perfectly. Last, she does not cut my hair if it does not need it. She will snip a few strays and trim my bangs for free if I do not need a full haircut. They also have a great waxing staff.. bikini waxes are never easy and they work fast. read more

I've been a client of jessica youngs for over a year. I followed her from her old salon in calabasas to secrets because she is the best with my hair. I have extremely curly and frizzy hair. she works wonders with blowing my hair our straight in a short time, as well as getting the colors i want and the style im trying to achieve at the time. shes worked with me around my schedule, and is the sweetest funniest and best hair dresser ive ever had. i give her and the salon 5 stars because they treat you extremely well. the staff are all professional and take care of you as if your the most important thing of the day and week, even year. she makes suggestions about products and they work magic on the frizz i have to control daily.
