First time at Mr. You Express. Came here after a fun day at Lucky Art Crayology with the kiddos. Was getting hungry and my wife found Mr. You on yelp. Mr. You puts panda express to shame with their menu variety, hospitality and portion size. Explains why this place was busy when we came in. Patron after patron came in. The staff were all very welcoming, nice and helpful. They made the kids feel welcomed and the food was delicious. My daughters loved their noodles and fried rice. We ordered their entree menu i had their one item plate and my wife got also one item plate. Mine was half fried rice and noodles with my entree being spicy orange chicken which i have not seen at other Chinese fast food. My wife got their two item broccoli beef. The spicy orange chicken was gooooood!! I loved it nice balance of flavors and not too spicy (mild to medium) spicy level. Their broccoli beef was cooked well and flavored nicely with a hint of the peppers that balanced with the veggies. All in all 10/10. The portions are large especially when i saw the bbq pork (char siu) they packed that sucker up it was over capacity of the container. The price is on point with whats out in the industry but the portions also matches it so this place is hands down the best place for chinese food thats authentic and everyone will enjoy. If you live in montclair or are passing by make sure you stop by Mr. You Express for some well made chinese food plus you will be supporting a great small business. Way over hyped , I came here and wai 35 minutes in line just to get over charged for some basic Chinese food I paid 25$ for combo C , it was obvious the lady didn't understand me . I didn't want chow main or fried rice , and for some reason 15$ turned into 25 . Instead of fixing the problem they argued . We get their chow mein, which is old school Chinese restaurant delicious and completely timeless. Hands down the most transcendent rendition I've ever encountered. They don't skimp on the noodles like other spots. Other places egregiously pad it out with cabbage, but Mr. You has the proportions so impeccably dialed in that it makes my tastebuds breakdance, but not like that Australian lady. Usually we go with the chow mein, orange tofu, kung pao tofu, white rice, wontons, and egg rolls. Every dish is high quality, meticulously prepared, and audaciously piled into the takeout containers. They cram a buffet's worth of food into each order to guarantee you get your money's worth, and that kind of culinary generosity speaks volumes about their ethos. Portions are big enough for 2-3 people. Chicken & fries were nice and crisp, piping hot. The glaze was well balanced sweet, tangy, salty and spicy that coats every ingle piece of fries and chicken. I came here for those Orange Chicken Fries I'd been seeing all over TikTok. I think everyone and their mom were here for that actually because every order had at least one added. My husband was with me and he also got a plate, not sure why, the portions were huge and I just wanted to OC fries. The lady helping us might have been in a mood, or over it. She wasn't that friendly with me and I didn't get a receipt. The people after us she was nice to, so not sure what that was about. Everyone else was super friendly. The restaurant is quite small with 4 tables for seating inside and 3 tables outside. The staff here works very hard and they are very attentive to their customers. I had my mind set to try the Orange Chicken Fries so I can't speak on the other traditional items you normally at a Chinese fast food joint. The Orange Chicken Fries run you for $13.99 and took a bit of time to complete. Once my number was called you get a whiff of that aroma from the box. It was a huge portion and the box barely closed. I took a number of bites of it at the restaurant since I didn't wanna try it at home and risk the fries getting soggy. The smells and flavors were overpowering in a good way. It's a sweet dish but the uniqueness is what I appreciated the most. That bad boy was packed to max! The orange chicken and crispy crinkle cut fries were sauced up and that portion is good for two. Drove all the way to here from LA JUST for these VIRAL ORANGE CHICKEN FRIES. I opted for the spicy option. Came on a weekday around 2 pm. There was no line and I ordered immediately but the order took about 10-15 minutes to make. I didn't mind because I just knew this was gonna slap. Crinkle cut fries tossed in the orange chicken sauce with the chicken ?!! Unheard of!! The flavor was so delicious and loved how saucy it was. The only part I didn't like was that some of the chicken pieces were a bit too hard and didn't really taste fresh, but honestly I still loved it. Pretty cool they have both regular orange and spicy orange chicken. Oddly, the orange chicken was more crunchy than the fries but can't say much there because this is a chinese express restaurant anyways lol. There are only about 4 tables indoors so we were worried about finding a seat but one of them opened up just in time. We got Combo B (Chow Mein, Spicy Orange Chicken, Pork) and Orange Chicken Fries. The food was better than I expected but the Orange Chicken Fries were too saucy for me to eat a lot. They offer spicy vs not spicy. I chose not spicy but later regretted not getting spicy. It would have tasted better. The portions are BIG. The two dishes we got would have fed 3-4 people. I saw some Instagram influencer made reel of this place, and good looked great in those videos. I could not help and wanted to try this place out. I drove 1 hour in traffic, and hoping to get tasty Chinese food. Parking was easy, and there were plenty of parking spot. There was a line when I went inside the restaurant. I have never seen a Chinese fast food restaurant that has a long wait time! I waited for 30 minutes, and ordered an item from the secret menu - Orange chicken fries, and a small container of fried noodles. The food was made fresh, so it was another 15 minutes wait. The restaurant only had 4 tables inside, and 4 tables outside. I was hungry because of the wait, and when I had my first bite. It was a great disappointment. The food was very Americanized. The orange chicken fries had a total of 4 pieces of orange chicken, and a full box of fries. The orange chicken was far too sweet, and I am wondering how much sugar they put in it. Also, orange chicken and fries were not a good combination! The fried noodle is a surprise, and it was the best thing in this meal. This meal was pretty sad to me. I am a big fan of fries; however, I could not finish it and had to throw it away. Also, I felt very thirsty after the meal, and it usually happens when the food I ate had a lot of msg in it. Located in the corner of a larger plaza, Mr. You's is tucked away. They have extremely competitive pricing and is similar to Panda Express. The service is fast and prompt and very sweet. You really can't beat the quantity, quality, and price of their food. Even their smoothies are delicious! So to start off the line here 30 minutes to closing was HUGEEE i did not expect it at all, the staff had to close up 15 minutes prior because people kept lining up to order. Sadly we got here too close to closing so most of the options they have were gone but for the most part i got everything i wanted to try from here. The orange chicken fries are so creative and amazing "appetizer" if you want to even call it even though it's so much food. The portions here are insane they just pile on more and more food for whatever you ask for, i got the spicy chicken wings and since it was so close to closing they just gave me the rest of what was in the pan. The fried rice and chow mein are also very good from here, most Chinese food places will have good meat but their rice and chow mein lacks flavor and is bland but this place did a great job at making sure it tastes super good. The seating area isnt too big but we didnt get the opportunity to dine in because of how late we went.
