I feel like you know you're getting older when you get excited about grocery shopping. Normally when I go to Publix, I'm irritated before I even get inside. But this place? A completely different experience. Walking through and seeing all the locally grown vegetables and the meat selection -- clearly labeled as hormone-free and without all the extra junk you get at typical grocery stores -- was honestly mind-blowing. The prices were so reasonable I couldn't believe it. I purposely brought a cooler for the two-hour drive home, and even with everything I bought, I didn't spend over $100. If I had purchased the same items at Publix, I'm convinced I would've been close to (or over) $200. Beyond the prices, the quality and overall vibe made it so enjoyable. You're not breaking the bank feeding your family, and you feel good knowing you're getting better-quality food. The staff was incredibly sweet and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I was looking for boneless chicken, and one of the employees asked if that's what I needed. A few minutes later, he came back with multiple packs in his hands to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I really appreciated it. One thing to know: the produce and meat sections are in two separate, unconnected rooms, so you check out separately in each. And if you're still riding that high from all the money you saved, there's soft-serve ice cream outside with seating -- which just makes the experience even better. I get to Walmart around 11:30 pm just fuming. I will say W+ customer service was apologetic and quickly canceled my order... but then I still have no groceries. Sooo in my pajamas, exhausted, I get my stuff. I check out, I ask for a manager bc idk how a grocery delivery service can let such egregious behavior ride from an employee. He looked at me like I had 3 heads, and wouldn't even turn to face me when I was telling him how crazy unacceptable this was -- given I was ordering FOOD. What if I didn't have my own transportation...? Would it be acceptable to let someone just go without eating bc Marcellus decided he just wasn't delivering my groceries that night & he was aware of the W+ policy that states he has up to 48 hours to complete the delivery????? Their produce and bakery sections are great here, with colorful and appealing fresh fruits and veggies and a large bakery that has a decent selection of breads, cakes, cookies, and pies. There's a nice prepared foods section too, which is great if you want a quick and healthier meal in your hotel room without having to cook. This location isn't fancy, but it carries a ton of different brands. As with all Publix supermarkets, the prices are on the higher side. This isn't the store to shop if you're looking for a bargain. The staff seems competent and helpful, and I didn't have to wait long at all to check out. Parking is free and convenient too, which is a big plus in the Orlando resort area. This location also sells Disney souvenirs. I picked up some adorable Minnie Mouse pencils that I just couldn't resist for less than $5.

One of my favorite things is their amazing selection of fresh fruits. They regularly carry hard-to-find favorites like Thai mangoes, mangosteen, lychees, longan, and many other Asian fruits that can be difficult to find elsewhere. I'm also impressed with their seafood department. It's generally very clean, well-maintained, and doesn't have the strong fishy odor you sometimes notice in other seafood markets, which makes shopping there much more pleasant. Whether I'm shopping for fresh produce, seafood, or Asian ingredients, Lotte always has a great selection. It's definitely one of my favorite places to shop for groceries.
