I have needed glasses for years and years but put off getting them because of one unfortunate problem... I have a really small face. Like really small. You can't tell when you just look at me but then I put on a pair of glasses that would be totally normal on someone else and the tiny proportions of my mug come into full perspective. I wear childrens sunglasses. Anyway, point is I walked into SEE after seeing they had a Groupon available. Larissa immediately greeted me and we talked about what I was looking for. She was so sweet and helpful. She started to collect some glasses for me to try on and while she was doing that Brian walked up to me, handed me a pair and told me to try them on. I was skeptical but they actually looked good! No, great! I tried on the pairs that Larissa had collected for me as well and she chose some good ones too. I ended up getting that first pair and I wear them everyday and I don't feel like a dorky little girl playing dress up in daddy's glasses. I LOVE my glasses from SEE! Whenever I wear them, lots of compliments pour in. My hubby purchased the frames for me as a Christmas gift, but instead of getting the lenses at SEE, I had them done at Costco optical thinking it would be cheaper. Not so. AND when Costco adjusted the frames to fit my face they massively messed them up. Luckily, Henny at SEE fixed them back up and now they are perfect! Next time I'll get the lenses and the frames at SEE. The frames at SEE are not cheap, however, they also don't feel or look cheap. They have fantastic styles - not boring lens crafters' styles but fun, hip looks. If you want boring go elsewhere. If you want something fresh come to SEE and Henny will help you out. read more

My rating is 5 stars based on the excellent customer service I received twice from Hayley. I have a terrible time finding glasses to fit me because of my small face. Kids sizes are usually all I can find. Haley knew exactly what styles to show me to fit my face. I was able to try on more than a few pairs until I found a pair not only that I liked, that fit, but that I felt pretty wearing. That's rare. She was extremely knowledge about not only the product, but she saved me a few dollars as well with her suggestions, which I greatly appreciated.. I have never found a eyewear store where I knew I would find something I liked, until now. I will be a loyal customer for many years to come based on great glasses and awesome customer service. Excellent customer service. I enjoyed the variety of contemporary frames they had and the inexpensive prices that went with them. I got a great deal by using a Groupon. About a year ago my boyfriend and I were in search of new glasses I remembered seeing SEE at the Beverly Center a place I had seen before in Chicago. We decided to go and check out the options- did some research before making the investment- something most people would find helpful so they don't feel ripped off or cheated. From the very first time we went in Henny was awesome! I think we went in twice before my boyfriend found the perfect pair and not only did he get a fantastic pair of glasses with the promo at the time he also pretty much got a free pair of prescription sunglasses. As for my pair it took a little longer, about a year longer = ) Throughout the process Henny was super friendly and helpful. Never once did I EVER feel pressured to buy a pair I was not happy getting. Every time I went in no matter who was working they were patient and helpful, letting me try on every pair in the store if I wanted. I had a friend even go in and find a pair before I could. It wasn't until a few weeks ago with a hint about a groupon and a sample sale, did I find the pair!! After some persuasion from my bf, a friend and Henny I went with a the color I never thought I'd go with but I love them and am super excited I have them!! I pretty much got my pair for about 1/2 of the price with the groupon. I've been needing to get glasses for several years now, but had been putting it off as I don't have optical coverage with my insurance plan. I knew it was going to cost A LOT of money and was really dreading it. I did a lot of research here on Yelp and had already heard of SEE Eyewear. I had a great ophthalmologist, Dr. Macy, so I took my prescription over to SEE. Brian was wonderful!!! He treated me like a longtime, close friend. We chatted about all the different frames and I greatly appreciate his honesty and kindness. In the end, I got two pairs since I got a great deal on the second set of frames AND the cost of the specs INCLUDES a SINGLE VISION PRESCRIPTION!! That alone will save you over $100 in the end. I am a real stickler when it comes to customer service and Brian gets 5 stars. He provided atypical service (out of the normal range or horrible to barely passing) which is rare in the city. Stopped in at SEE this afternoon to look for some new frames. I was immediately greeted by a very warm and friendly staff who brought me selections of frames that they thought I would like. They gave me their opinion as to what glasses looked best on me, telling me kindly when they thought certain ones just didn't look good on me. I settled on a few choices and they told me which one they liked the best. Those are the ones I bought. I thought that their selection of frames were really superior to your average LensCrafters - much more hip and varied. I like how they have vintage style frames. For the past couple of years, I have worn SEE eyewear and am a fan of their style and quality. Besides the fact that I know it is unlikely to bump into someone with the same pair of glasses that I purchased, they work great and fit comfortably. The service is another plus. There is no high pressure, and the budget was not hit as hard as one might think at a specialty place like this one. The deal was as good as Lenscrafters if you consider a named brand. They can make any of their frames--even the cheaper ones they offer in the readers section--into your prescription. read more

We are so thrilled we found SEE Eyewear, and met Tony a few months ago. We looked at eyeglasses with prescription for my husband, and unfortunately the opthamologist at UCLA wrote the info incorrectly which led to glasses that were completely unusable. Tony was professional, courteous, and truly amazing as he discovered what the issue was, guided us through the process with new eye exam, and made new lenses for us at no charge. A glasses wearer since 2nd grade, I was happy to find See! I have owned several pairs of SEE glasses. The first pair I bought at one of the Detroit-area stores and alll the others I have gotten at the Beverly Connection. The only complaint is I've had lenses get scratched up easily there. I have an extremely small face. The style of glasses that are "in" are thick rimmed glasses, which is hard because they "eat up" my face. After a long search I found See Eyewear. The place is great! So I was meandering through the mall seeing all the generic stuff that a mall exists to sell when I saw See! I feared getting a new pair of glasses because I have to have The Best...meaning slaving over every pair in at least 5 stores and getting third and fourth opinions and...well, it's a lot of work to find The Best. Anyways, I ventured in for a look see. I told Vicky, whom I now love, what I was looking for, the most annoying of which being, "something basic without being boring"...aka The Best. She grabbed LOTS of glasses and threw them into a big shopping tray. We sat down together and bada bing bada bang I had that perfect pair within 10 minutes! Wait...this can't be true...it should take at least 3 months...this can't be the best pair...but I swear it was and still is. I love them and have been complimented on them frequently. Just over $300 for frames, lenses, and all. I can wear them to work or out to play. FYI, the selection tends towards vintage, which I say works perfect for "basic without boring, " but they have plenty of outliers as well. Decent selection, though they only carry their own brand. Friendly and efficient enough customer service, but a little heavy on the hipster quotient (don't rely on them to give you great advice on what's going to look good in the boardroom). Quality feels a little subpar to me - I've been wearing glasses since I was 2 and know my way around a pair of frames - fit/finish just feels a bit flimsy IMHO (though the guy who helped me out was pretty cute... so at least if my new specs break, going back for service might not be the worst thing). read more

After searching for cute AND affordable prescription glasses since 1400 B.C., I stumbled upon SEE in Beverly Center. I was surprised with the quality and price of the glasses, since the prices ranged from about $160-$300 which includes the lens, frames, anti-scratch, and anti-glare coating! Other places quoted me anywhere from $400 to $600 and sometimes it was just for the frames! Oh yeah, and I already tried the whole WarbyParker.com deal before ($95 frames, including lenses, and they ship you 5 frames to try on for free which is a really neat concept), but their frames were matte and just looked really cheap- the kind of cheap that gave you the impression that not only did they come from a 99 cent store, but they were also STOLEN from the 99 cent store. At least my frames from SEE were made in Italy! Yes, Italy. So now I can wear my glasses and feel superior to everyone else. Just kidding. I don't need to wear my glasses to feel that way. ;-) And to top it all off, I thought the service was very friendly and attentive. read more
