Yet another update due to how drawn out my experience with them has been. I would rate at 0 stars to be honest. Door latches were finally replaced in my last update but getting the recall marked as complete is another story. I went back about a month after the replacement for them to take photos of the latches because they didn't get it right the first time. It turns out, even after that, they filed the paperwork incorrectly so the recall was never completed. I found out because in August I got a letter from Ford saying I needed to address my recall still. I had to return at least 3 times to get my still active recall addressed because they don't answer the phone or respond ever. The only way to get service is to bug them in person. I was told I'd have to leave my car there for a whole day just for photos to be retaken. I was told they didn't have time to do so at one point. It wasn't until I mentioned the urgency of my car being shipped that they offered to bring my car to the shop to take photos if I wasn't able to bring my car in. I ended up just going in person again and they took the photos they needed. Finally, at least 5 months after the replacement, the recall has been closed. As a side note, the day they replaced my door latches, they also jacked up my driver's side front window. It won't go up all the way consistently so now I have to go somewhere else and pay out of pocket to fix their mistake. I mentioned this to them the first time back but after all this I don't want to deal with this dealership again. read more

I will never take my car to get serviced here again. I was told my car would be worked at on my appointment day, I drop off my car and go about my day. I call for an update and I'm told my car won't be looked at for a couple day, if that. Cool. Leave my car and they eventually look at it. I finally got my car back and the same issue is there. I have since moved from Alaska THANKKK GOD! I cannot imagine having to return to deal with the mess that is Seekins Ford. Waste of my money and time! read more

Their pit / service area over inflated or something to the tires after a rotate and balance. They are literally the last people to touch the tires! Three of the tires blew a week-ish later at -40°F. Two blew one night, one was re inflated, the other was switched out with the doughnut. The one that was switched out had the tire blow off the rim!!! The next day another blew on the way to get tires for the two from the night before. Was about to go drive down south for the holidays, thanks for ruining that and costing more money. If this had happened on the trip south it could have easily been life threatening. Not many people travel the highways in the winter, then the wait for a plow... They refuse to take accountability for their mistake. They blame the owner for driving it off the lot. Even if you are a very good driver and even drive 10 miles under the speed limit. If you don't absolutely have to use them don't. GO ELSEWHERE. There are better places for servicing your car. Because this place does NOT care about the safety of your vehicle or your personal safety. read more

I had numerous issues with seekins Ford. And it always is the service department. You have a vehicle with warranty but can never get it serviced in a timely manner had to wait a month for transmission issue. Get the truck there for appointment and don't actually 4 day later, had to call them for an update, told me need a new valve body and had it instock (Monday) didn't hear nothing from them had to call and left messages no one returned my call. Had to drive there to get an update(Frida). Apparently need an update to the computer in order to finish install but won't take update and had to wait for Ford HQ to send a new update. Now on Monday call multiple time and no one answers the phone this has been my experience every time I call the service department. finally get them to answer and once again the new update for Ford HQ is not working and tells me it will still be a few days or more. My question when scheduled me an appointment on 15th but don't start looking/working on it until 19th Than once they know what's wrong stops working on it, and wait until the 23rd to work on it. Feel to me a complete incompetent service department that is not thinking of the customer and extreme lack in customer service. Also seekins ford turned off their reviews and recommendations on facebook i believe because they don't care about their customers and want to fix the issues in their establishment. i challenge seekins ford to show they care and respond to this post. read more

Terrible customer service, they never answer their phone, lied to me about doing an oil change, during their inspection didn't catch the fact that my wheel bearings were bad, and didn't get my new tires I needed on order after a week of my first visit. I have had a great experience with Seekins Ford here in Fairbanks. I worked with Ed Reuther in the sales department and he was a wealth on knowledge and very helpful in identifying what I was looking for. He has even helped me follow up with issues after the sale which I greatly appreciate. In the service department, Eric Patton has been great to work with as well. I've had some minor maintenance repair work done and Eric made sure I knew what the fix was and how long it would take. The shuttle guy was good too. read more

I purchased my 05 f150 from seekins some 5.5 years ago. Shoot me for not taking after market repair insurance. I've spent no less than 13000.00 on this truck. The service personnel are fine. Ralph has to deal with nutty customers and cars incorrectly built or previously serviced incorrectly. On 2 occasions I wrote letters during the part when my transmission died. Both letters 3 to 4 years old were never responded to. In researching repair costs nation wide, Seekins charges approx 35% higher labor nationwide. I recently brought my truck in for service. It runs ok 1300.00 later with rental, however engine warning light back on something else that's going to cost another grandk$.... I would say this truck and managements lack of responding to previous issues and written snail mail letters are my biggest gripe. read more

This place is a joke, we came in for an oil change and ended up having to pay for this shops mistakes. Our car had no issues before and now we have no car. We went in for our appointment and were left waiting 4hours in the lobby because they ran out of oil filters and were waiting on a new one. The next day our car smelled like it was burning. We took it to another shop to get it looked at. Only to come back and find out they ended up installing a broken filter. If they knew it was no good why not tell us to come back another day, why lie in the first place? They ended up replacing it free of charge after they realized what happened but that didn't change anything the car still smelled like it was burning for the next week. We went back once again and were suggested to change the oil sensor, and we did. The burning smell continued. Since they are not equipped to do anything we decided to go to another shop only to find out we're going to need another oil change! And replace a lot of parts that could have been avoided if they knew how to do their job properly. read more

I purchased a vehicle from Seekins a year ago and had a fantastic experience with their Sales department. However their Service, Quick Lane, and body shop leave a lot to be desired. I had set an appointment a month and a half out with their service department, dropped my truck off at 7:30am the morning of the appointment, and received a text around 4:00pm that they had not touched my truck, and asked that I left it overnight or brought it back the next day. I get that they may have been swamped, but I would have preferred a warning or a reschedule. On top of the regular service I asked them to diagnose and advise on several things. Two pretty obvious, an engine knock and oil leak. Tech noticed neither, I was told twice there was no oil leak. I doubt it was actually checked as it was the oil filter seeping oil and by just looking under the truck you could see the oil dripping off a frame crossmember. I'd also assume if a knock was noticed it would end up covered under warranty, and so far they've been very good at avoiding warranty work. What a joke. If you do decide to get your vehicle serviced by them, I recommend setting up the appointment in person. I have never had them pick up the phone, or received a call back after leaving a message before. I've even tried to set up an appointment through their website but never had a response there either, it's like they don't want your money. Quick lane guys have been a bit clueless in the past, but overall pretty nice and get oil changes done quick. The body shop left a mess of my truck when they replaced a windshield, not just wiping the adhesive pieces and dirt off the dash when they were done. Overall some departments are better than others, but I would recommend going somewhere else if you want to pay dealer prices, because they don't offer dealer quality. read more

When I told him that I was interested in a new truck but not ready to settle on one that day, he told me I couldn't test drive anything. I do not like car dealers. I've always avoided them as much as I could. I don't trust them, and I despise their cheap selling tactics. A good friend of mine told me to go to Seekins and talk to their sales manager, Steven Angel. I did, mostly to be polite. What a surprise! The entire staff was very professional and friendly. They answered any questions I had and gave me a great price on the vehicle I purchased (and yes, I had done my homework). If I could give zero stars out a negative number of stars I would. I got $800 worth of work done today. I got my wife's car winterized and t the tires swapped out for brand new winter tires. When I picked my car up... I drove down the road and something was definitely wrong. It felt like a wheel was loose. I told the manager and they got it right in. The right wheel was about to fall off. The lug nuts weren't even hand tight. They lifted the car and tightened the lug nuts they pulled it out and have me the keys and said have a good day. My issue is that. Tightening five lug nuts seems like the easiest part of the $800 south of work I had done. All of the electrical and hearing/winterizing I had done is much more difficult. I took it into seekins and explained rgr issue to three different people. I was told a manager would be right with me. I stood there for over 30 min and nobody else said a word to me. I felt as if I were being avoided. Was any of the work actually completed. There is a blue cord hanging from the grill of my car. Was anything done or did I past $800 for a $15 home depot extension cord to be stuck through my grill... I guess I'll have to go to another local shop to find out. this was on a 2018 car. Tomorrow I have an appointment for my 2019 3500 to get tires swapped and winterization to be completed... I will definitely not be keeping that appointment.... read more

After all I bought a service contract. Showed up for my appointment and was told I had no appointment in their system. Wow- great service department! Don't buy a service package with Seekins Ford! I've been doing business with Seekins for over 30 years. I've purchased, or have had serviced, at least 5-6 vehicles with them. 1 was a lemon but it wasn't their fault, it came that way from the factory. Seekins worked on it forever to correct the problems and it didn't cost me a dime (even though the warranty had expired). I just bought a new F-150 XLT Fx4 crew cab 2 months ago and everything has been perfect until today - very little heat coming out. I know it's cold out and it has a big cab because it's a 4 door, but it still ought to be nice and toasty after running for 30 minutes - but it isn't. I called and was routed to service immediately and they set me up for an appt. for Friday to have them look at it. Big Ed in Sales, Ralph in Service, and the financing folks rock and so does everyone else that works there. Like Ralph Seekins says, "a dollar goes where it's treated best" and Seekins Ford lives up to that saying. They are the best dealer in Fairbanks and, perhaps, the whole state. read more

This place took over three months to fix my car. For the first 2 months they said they were waiting for the part. Every time I called they said the part should be in in about 2 weeks. I incurred over $2000 in rental car expenses. The other driver's insurance company, Country Financial, stated that they will not pay it because their is no reason a vehicle should be in the shop for that long. I have always had a good experience with Ford in other places until I moved here to Fairbanks. I know there is not a lot of choices for a remote town the size of Fairbanks but you really should consider switching brands. read more

I bought a truck from them 2 years ago for $22,000 with a extended service contract. Paid full sticker price then I go into trade it in on something newer and they only want to give me $6000.00 on trade in. Nada blue book trade in is about $15,000 and the truck only has 85,000 miles on it. Very disappointed Fords have always been good trucks too bad the dealership up here dose not live up to its reputation. read more

I brought my car in on Tues at 9 am, which was an appointment I made a month beforehand. They called me the next day and said they were behind and weren't able to look at my car yet. There were two things that needed fixing. They called me on Friday to tell me that the mechanic was still working on my someone else's car and couldn't get to my car until the afternoon. I explained that I needed my car for a work trip, and I needed to pack it up with all of my equipment Monday afternoon. They called me Monday and told me "the mechanic had to go home for a home inspection and is running late on the repair of your vehicle". They've had my car for a week! The AC needed recharging and some small parts needed to be replaced, that's it. No blown head gasket, no major repairs. I am really frustrated and disappointed in the service I've received. I brought my car there because I believe the dealer is the best place to take a Ford vehicle, now I'm not so sure. read more

I would not recommend anyone to have there car fixed by there body shop. Was involved in a crash back in November and wanted Seekins to fix my vehicle since it is a 2015 model. However it is August and still trying to get it fixed right. Body shop painted the car and paint was bubbled up so I had them repainted it as well as the panels not aligned. When I got it back there is now marks all in the paint from a buffer where they burned thru the clear coat. Now I am going to have to pay an additional $400 to fix. Talked to Aaron Seekins and was told there not gonna fix there mistake. Professionalism is in question at this dealership. I will never do business with this dealer again and will take my business to anchorage. When I spoke to the sales manager I was yelled at and was spoken to in the rudest manor. I came in to ask to speak to the general manager and they kept coming up with excuses on why I couldn't. While being threatened and cussed at, the sales manager kept bringing up past deals saying it was a nightmare for the dealership because I didn't purchase that day and waited a few days. He said that I was childish for putting a review on social media and that I needed to grow up. Last I checked I served my country so there would be the freedom of speech. I will be back to ask to speak to the general manager or owner again. Hopefully the staff will have learned professionalism and customer service by then. In addition I am have filed a complaint thru corporate. Hope this helps keep another person from going thru the same painful experience. read more

We had an excellent service experience at Seekins Ford in Fairbanks, AK. If we lived in Fairbanks they would be our dealer for life. My wife and I are fulltime RVs traveling the country. About 100 miles out of Fairbanks the transmission on our 2016 Class C RV failed and would not shift into overdrive. We were stranded on the outskirts of civilization. They got us in the next morning. The service was excellent and they had the equipment to lift and service our rig. They pulled the transmission and towed us to a safe nearby cul-de-sac so we could live in the RV while they ordered the parts and rebuilt the transmission. They filled us with water, gave us a loaner vehicle, checked on us throughout the process. It took a while for the entire process, but we are extremely satisfied. Best auto repair warranty experience ever for us and night and day compared to the dealer where we bought the coach. Josh Greier was excellent. Ralph, Gregory, Bob and Chris thank you. The Service Techs we do not know by name, but thank you as well. Ralph Seekins and Margaret Russell you run a first class dealership and your service team is excellent. Ralph we even saw you donating your time to drive the tractor at the Tanna Valley Fair Alaska Rodeo. Looks like you are giving back to the community. I'd like to say that I have received tremendous, really exceptional, customer service from Seekin's service department, and in particular Paul Austin, Matt Hayes, and Bert in Quick Lane. I had some concerns after a service recently performed at Seekin's. When I called to relate these concerns I was treated with exceptional courtesy, professionalism, and kindness. They offered to take my F-150 back in and review the service at no cost. They worked with me and my schedule and went out of their way to call and communicate with me as the situation unfolded. They were exceedingly prompt and comprehensive in their inspection and thoroughly documented all technical aspects of the work recently performed. They took the time to discuss and thoroughly explain all of my question, and alleviated all of my concerns in the most professional manner; but more than that, the gracious, kind and courteous treatment they displayed throughout all of our interactions really stand out in my mind. Seekin's service has demonstrated that they have the highest regard for customer satisfaction, and moreover, the service management personnel have demonstrated the utmost character and integrity. They even went as far as delivering my truck back to me at my place of work after the inspection. They went far, far above and beyond the call of duty and displayed the highest values of integrity, professionalism and respect in their handling of my concerns.
