I was walking through the mall on my way to a specific destination when I walked by See's. Who doesn't love see's? I've been eating it since I was a kid so it's a bit nostalgic for me. I decided to stop in and to my delight I was surprised to see Easter candy on sale. I guess I've never gone to a See's after a holiday. A perused the rack, hoping to find my favorite. Sure enough they had a six pack of my absolute favorite Scotchmallows for considerably less than you would pay if you bought them separately or not on sale. The woman at the counter was very friendly as I find to be the case at most See's candies. She offered me a piece of what they were sampling for the day. She also asked me if I'd had other flavors of scotchmallows. I was unaware that they had other flavors, but she said they had seasonal flavors and that the milk chocolate was a seasonal flavor. I had no idea. She gave me a taste of the coffee Scotchmallow. it was good, but I prefer the original. I really enjoy See's and will always be a big a fan. read more

wanted 1lb of white chocolate nuggette. then SO wanted milk chocolate with some nuts. I informed the person only 1 row of his. 1lb chocolate is 6x3. his ended on the 3 sides. love this person! she knew his was an afterthought. will definitely come again. read more

We stopped in to a different branch than our usual of See's to pick up a last minute gift. We had the pleasure of building our box with Teresa who was an absolute delight. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable about all the flavors, and seemed to truly love her job interacting with customers. I left the store with a huge smile on my face and a great mood for the next several days! Haven't been at this mall in so long. Picked up something nearby then saw this store and decided to pick up some chocolate covered almonds. Joanne took care of me and she was very kind and sweet. I ended up buying other milk chocolates for my hubby so he wouldn't eat all my chocolate almonds! lol Anyway, they also have a lemonade pop which I didn't get to try yet but per Joanne it's creamy and good. See's Candies at North County Fair Mall is an oldie, but a goodie. Somehow, I still thought this was on the second floor at their old location, but it is on the first floor near the mall entrance and the bottom of the escalator. They have all the gift assortments perfect for gift giving! As a kid I would get their different flavored fun lollipops which were always on point. They have some cute packaging for healthcare workers which I opted for as I bought two 1lb variety packs to give out as gifts to other departments at my work. Fun purchases! See's has the best variety of chocolates they have behind the glass. Each chocolate piece is unique and yummy in different ways from peanut butter, toffee, almonds, and milk chocolate etc for the assortment bag I get when I drop by and pick individually different ones. Service was fantastic as the cashier who helped me today was delightful and super sweet. read more

We had Monique (I think it was?) help us on a Friday with putting together a custom box See's candy and she was super nice and patient with putting together our order even though our order was all over the place. Lol. She even went the extra mile of wrapping the box super nicely (and fast too!) like a professional and my husband loved that. This place is dangerous. Walked by and all of a sudden I was craving chocolate. OK REALLY?! Walked in for a candy bar and we were offered samples. MMMM Peanut Butter Fudge... I decided to look around some more and saw some limited edition lollipops. Chocolate and Orange. The lady mentioned that they've been selling like hotcakes and they only have a few more boxes before the next limited edition flavor comes out. Grrrr, damn you salesperson! So yes, I had to buy some lollipops for $7. If you can avoid coming in here, do so... Or else you'll be spending a LOT of money and getting a lot of samples! read more

Came here the day before Christmas Eve, when the mall was suuuuppppeeerr hectic. Gotta say, the workers all handled it like champs! I was getting a box of chocolates to add to my mom's present, and handed a list of chocolates she liked to the employee and he took it from there! When someone from Europe asks me to bring some "American chocolates" immediately think about paying a visit to See's. That happens once or twice a year and I go to Costco, get my certificates from there and get my stock cheaper that way:) Plus you get to try all these delicious samples that the ladies working here always offer with a great smile. This review is for THIS Sees's location only. I love See's candy and always will. I swung by last night with my 3 year old and a younger guy helped us out. There was no line and we walked straight to the counter. I asked for two dark chocolate scotchmallows and two cups of cashew brittle, (4 pieces of brittle total). I didn't watch the guy put the candy into the bag to make sure that he got the order right because I was letting my son pick out chocolate coins for his Christmas stocking. When we got home I found that he gave me the wrong chocolates!! Such a disappointment when there's something specific you are craving. Instead of the cashew brittles he gave me 4 dark chocolate California brittles. They're still yummy, but ultimately not what I was looking forward to having and left me very unsatisfied. I've been in this location before and never had a problem with the wrong chocolates with any of the other sales ladies. Don't order from the guy! But if you have no choice, watch him the entire time to make sure he doesn't mess up your order like he did mine. read more

After my slip up with Godiva, I've come to realize that there is no place out there that is better than you. I was led astray by a fancy layout and a hot cashier, but that's all smoke and mirrors. You are so sweet, and clean, and you aren't digging in my wallet for more money. You only take what you need, a reasonable amount. And you give me all the samples I want. I had a moment of weakness! Walked in when it wasn't busy and a worker handed us free chocolate samples. Their chocolates are just too rich. If you didn't have a tooth ache before, you will after a few bites. I got a gift cert from my parents for a free pound of candy. We chose a variety of around 24 pieces and saved ourselves $18 bucks. Love Sees!! Free samples, yes pls! I go and get Xmas gifts here every year. The toffee chocolate bars are good stocking stuffers, the toffee-ettes are great hostess gifts, and their bordeaux truffles are a must have for on hand days when stressed and need chocolate! Well, the good news is Godiva is no longer in this mall so there's absolutely no competition for See's phenomenal chocolate. They are now located on the first floor near the center escalators. A trip to the mall is not complete without a stop at See's. The employees are friendly and the candy is the best. Today we tried the cinnamon lollipops and found them tasty. In fact, other than the nuts and chews (those things will pull the fillings right out of your teeth!), we've never met a See's candy we didn't like. read more

Nice and clean environment. I use to work a couple stores down and would always come here because I love love love chocolate. I recommend their milk chocolate w almonds and the white chocolate w peanuts. The toffee covered chocolate was good too. I always bought half a bag and it only costed me $8 (not too bad considering that it is See's). Can't wait to be back read more
