Overall, they got me further than I was before they did the work I felt the price was fair and after seeing their work, decided to have them paint the shed (I was planning on doing it, but, heat & age, I knew it would take me much longer to get done.) (06/27/25 update Have reinstalled hasp latch correctly - but, it appears they tried to bend to work with their lack of knowledge as to how hasp locks work... installed correctly, screws are not accessible.... Needed to buy new hasp lock. Their installation had all screws easily accessible, meaning putting a lock on door was a waste of time. I WAS so impressed & pleased with their work, I'm have him bid on completing a pool to deck conversion. Apparently, he didn't want to work with my choice, so, nothing more was said. I interviewed a half dozen or so contractors prior to selecting Nico Pro Construction (NPC) to do my Dream Garage project. The usual criteria: conveyed competence, experience, estimate completeness, competitive pricing, timeline, and gut-feel, were all considered and evaluated. From the beginning, it was clear to me that NPC was a cut above the others. I especially appreciated that Nazariy, NPC's estimator, was also going to be the Project Manager. That in itself was huge to me, ensuring I wouldn't ever get the "he said, she said" game that is so often prevalent in construction projects. Throughout the project, Nazariy provided me with updated timelines keeping me "in the loop"; that was a big plus for me. And while we had our share of mostly weather related delays, I always knew where we were with the scope of work. As was the case with Nazariy, NPC's crew of workers performed their efforts with a solid sense of pride and regard for their work and my project. Sadly, that mindset is not as common place in construction as I remember it to be; NPC clearly exhibits the proprietary interest you want in your contractor. I was reminded of this with a couple of the subs who worked with us, as some of their efforts were lacking. When such incident arose however, Nazariy was always Johnny on the spot stepping up and stepping in to ensure all was righted. In the end, NPC successfully provided me with the Dream Garage I had envisioned. To anyone who is looking to find a competitive, competent, contractor, that they can truly trust, I wholeheartedly recommend Nico Pro Construction. By 0800, the gear was unloaded and the team was in full-on work mode. I do a lot of DIY jobs with crews. After a half hour, a huge worry burden was lifted off my shoulders. This has never happened to me before. I had a very large brick wall repair job. Luis and his team were a well-oiled machine. Each knew their job (all experts), and the work hummed along--busy, busy, busy. Literally no screwing around or fun time. I was unconditionally amazed and thankful. The job was completed earlier than expected, and not only were no shortcuts taken, they did more than we agreed upon. All debris was picked up and put in the trash. The area was washed down. The cleanup job was impeccable. You would have never known they were there, except for the beautiful work they left behind. Lastly, I took five bids. This company was not the cheapest, but it was far from the most expensive. I cash-tipped each worker for a job well done--impeccable.
