I…read morecalled Ford without much hope of getting help on a Friday afternoon but then I hadn't bargained for the kindness and helpfulness of Tracey, my first point of contact. She went out of her way to get me help quickly. Along came Adam, one of Hansel Ford's mobile mechanics. He was great! He had to jump start my car just to get the hatch door open but even on a cold wet afternoon he was cheerful and friendly and he got the job done efficiently and professionally. Hats off to Hansel Ford for exemplary service. I am very grateful for their help today.

Dropped off my new Maverick after hitting something on the highway. I explained exactly where the…read moredamage was and noted there was a warning light on the dash. After having my truck for two weeks, they replaced two parts that did not fix the warning issue and ignored the visibly damaged components I specifically pointed out. They later told me the truck had a "transmission noise" and scheduled another appointment--only to later admit that the technician was wrong and that "it's just how Mavericks sound." Even after that, they still never checked under the damaged splash guard, something I had asked them to do four separate times. It took multiple attempts to reach the service manager, and several calls before he finally picked up. There was no apology or explanation for why the requested repairs weren't completed. When I went to pick up my vehicle, it took over 30 minutes just to get JJ to the counter so I could request the refund he had promised on the phone. He claimed it couldn't be processed immediately because it had to go through accounting--but minutes after I left, another staff member (Calli) processed it without issue. Clearly, he wasn't being truthful. Very poor service overall, from communication to follow-through. I'll be taking my business to another dealership.

The ones I had gotten just a short while ago from a local auto supplier--not Oliver's. My mom patronizes and loves this service business, so I took a chance they could at least diagnose what to do to solve the squeaks. I realized I did *not* want to hear that noise every time the wipers moved for the hour trip to Fairfield and another hour back. Not only did they realize I needed new wiper blades, but had my exact type in stock. Impressive. They installed them for me, and even graciously applied RainX. Both changes fixed the squeak. And I recall paying more at that other place than what Oliver's charged me. All three employees were friendly, smiling, and engaging in chat while doing their part. When I went to pay, the cashier already had the invoice printed. It literally was a minute after I got there. Thank you, team. Not only did you rectify the issue--and expediently, but also I was on my way without making me late to my destination.

It had been a slow death, over several years, with frequent travel interruptions and long rides on…read morethe flatbeds of tow trucks. Finally, in the summer of 2021 in Whitefish, Montana, my 1985 Westfalia died. Its four cylinders were worn and leaky, and the carburetor was often so confused it would open wide the fuel lines and flood the engine--even while cruising at interstate speeds. Luckily, my camper lives near Petaluma, where Kurt and Marty of The Garage perform mechanical miracles, including Westfalia heart transplants. Following a long wait for parts, they cut out the fatally weak VW engine and installed a much younger, stronger Subaru engine of a certain vintage. As a result, my revitalized camper now takes us up and down the California coast, easily climbing hills and occasionally even passing other vehicles. Kurt and Marty made it possible with their deep knowledge of all things VW, and especially of busses and campers. I cannot recommend them highly enough for their expertise and dedication to ensure their customer is, well, a happy camper.
