Filet noodles with peppers and onions
    MeLy P.

Found this Food truck by accident at an Ube festival. This has to be the most expensive noodle dish I have ever purchased and was just ok about it. I will say the portion is definitely big enough to justify two servings, but spending $25+ for noodles is just a tad stiff for me. The festival started at 4pm but they weren't ready so people had to wait a bit, I noticed customers walking up to the truck, checking it out and then walking away. The truck was black and they had a set up on the outside with a display that showed what the items looked like and they also had an "A" frame menu that was clearly stating what the prices were and the description of the menu items which I appreciated. Once they opened, people consistently were ordering food, but then I did notice that people were talking about the price once they walked away. I was working at the theater that was in the near distance, but was on a lunch break. The majority of the food at this festival was all Filipino and I was unfamiliar so I ended up eating what I thought my stomach would be able to handle while at work. I ended up ordering the filet mignon noodles with onions and bell peppers. The steak was cooked good! The dish came with a sauce however I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do with it, was I supposed to dip the steak or drizzle it onto the noodles? The noodles were pretty spicy and although I'm Mexican, it was a different kind of spice and I couldn't put my finger on it. There was just something about these noodles that just didn't hit the spot for me and I can't figure out what it was. The noodle texture was great, and the bell peppers and onions were delicious. Overall, the meal was good. It just didn't hit the spot for some reason and I don't know why. I think just walking away knowing I paid $30 with tip on a bowl of noodles just left a bad taste in my mouth. Are they comparable to festival food prices yes. But I think that's what festival prices are these days right? Am I going to chase down this food truck? No. Do I recommend them? Eeeh... sure, if they are around I would give them a try. Just expect to pay some money.

Garlic noodles with short ribs and shrimp

We ordered the shrimp and ribs garlic noodles. That was the bomb and serving was enough for two to shared. They were at the Dia De Los Muertos event in San Pedro on October 26, 2025. I'd order from them again.

I tried this food truck at Uptown Whittier night market. I got the just noods ($12) and the G tots ($10). I knew the portions were big but I didn't expect the quantity of tater tots in my order (portion for 4 people at least). It was garlicky and just a tad salty, but super crispy. The noodles were just OK to me. I thought the noodle texture was too firm and too thick to my liking. Both my orders came with the green sauce, which was tasty. I would try again for the tater tots craving, but I wonder if they can accommodate a half order portion. I'm happy with the prices they charge as a food truck eatery.

Portions are huge and full of flavor! If you love garlic, without a doubt you have to try. Had to take a photo before my family and I devoured the noodles and wings. Wings are extra crispy and flavorful it's been a long time since I've found a spot with bomb af wings. Great customer service and quick. Mah dude on the last review must've had his tastebuds burned off because this spot had nothing but flaaaavor!

    Shortys Thick Noodles

I sure love me some garlic noodles. I came to the Angel City Market at the Lakewood Mall and as soon as I saw this truck, none of the others mattered lol. I got the Shortys Thick Garlic Noodles with a fried egg added to it and it was absolutely amazing! Shortys Thick is the garlic noodles with Korean short ribs added to it. Then I added the secret sauce to it and almost jumped out of my seat because it was so good lol. I don't know what it is but I would have asked for more if I knew it was so good. I would give them more stars if I could. Their menu is amazing and soooo funny. They will eventually get tired of me, because I will keep going back to try the other protein options on the menu, along with their wings options and tater tots. I recommend everybody that likes some good quality garlic noodles. Tell your family and your friends and let's help them get a permanent location one day. They really kind and welcoming people that deserve it.

Great food. Noodles were excellent. Service was as swift as possible. The only negative thing would be the lines. So be prepared to wait. I highly recommend having a buddy so you can share the in-line waiting. It does allow you to review the menu in detail & have your order/ orders ready as soon as you reach the window. The noodles were worth the wait for us. I got beef & shrimp. I highly recommend getting extra garlic, too, if you are garlic fiends like me & my loved ones. It's a food truck, so look them up and give them a try. Go early, and you'll be the first in line.

    Great food truck

I knew of this food truck via the whittier events. Always pass them and one day got some. It was very delicious and large portion. I have half a container of left over that added three egg for a brunch meal the next day. The garlic was very spicy for me but it's still enjoyable. I would probably get it again when I am actually in a mood for spicy food.

Cons - Mac and cheese too mushy, Cole slaw under dressed, Sweet Lou's pulled pork and brisket sandwich was very light on the pork and the brisket was one super hard end bit. We like the idea of having a local independent bbq place nearby and we will definitely be back. Me for the kielbasa again and I want to try the cornbread and beans. My husband really liked the spare ribs and brisket sandwich. He said it made all the difference that the brisket was sliced, not chopped. I had a bite of his potato salad and it was really good too. I liked the kielbasa and it was great that a bbq place didn't only have hot links. Service was friendly and fast. They've only been open about a year and it's nice that people are finding it. You can order To Go or they have a few tables outside (no shade) or on the back patio with umbrellas. Open Wednesday through Saturday, no phone orders.

My husband and I got al pastor mulitas and asada tacos. I also got a lengua taco and he got a suadero taco. They asked if we wanted hand-made tortillas for each item -- we said yes -- and it looks like they charged an extra 50 cents each. For 5 tacos and 2 mulitas, it came out to about $40, which felt expensive, but we figured it was fine since we were trying it for the first time and were really craving Mexican food on our way home. They gave us green and red salsa, marinated spicy onions, radishes, and lemons. When we opened everything at home, the portions looked really good, so we didn't feel as bad about the price. I actually had enough leftovers for two more meals, so in the end it worked out. My husband loved the mulita and said it was super good. The lengua taco was packed with meat and totally worth it (it was around $3.50 including the hand-made tortilla). Honestly though, I don't think the hand-made tortilla was worth the extra charge -- it didn't reheat well the next day and got kind of dry. The green salsa didn't have much flavor, but the red was pretty good. I ended up adding some of my bottled salsas from home to amp it up a little. For the area that it's located, it's really good and I would get food from this place again. I would probably order ahead for pick-up though since you'd just be waiting on the sidewalk for a while if you order there.

Their tacos are fire and we stop by here at least once a week and are never disappointed. Try to bring cash, their card machine is usually broken and has an additional fee for the tap to pay option.
