I got the number 27, vermicelli with grilled shrimp and chicken and the spring rolls.The only downside that was they only give three pieces of shrimp and maybe a 1/4 of a chicken breast. A modestly sized Vietnamese restaurant just outside of the South Coast Metro area. Service is fast and attentive, and the pho is tasty, warming, and reasonably priced. I'm not a pho connoisseur by any means, but I do like how spiced their broth is compared to others like Phoholic. You also get a decent amount of meat; I get a large sized bowl each time and leave uncomfortably but happily full. We were in need of healthy & fresh spring rolls (not fried) and pho but wanted to find a spot close to home. The restaurant is located in an older strip center next to a liquor store. Once we parked, I made sure to quickly get inside because I wasn't too sure of the kind of crowd the area draws. Restaurant is small but quaint and ran by a family. There is a large tv to entertain you. It was quiet in the restaurant at first but eventually they turned on music. Service was friendly and food was quickly delivered. Shrimp spring rolls were decent with lots of lettuce and some noodles. Appreciate them cutting each roll in half for us. I was in the need for vegetables so I had the vegetable pho with regular beef broth which was decent but nothing to rave about. Broth was clean but not as flavorful as I would like. The boyfriend ordered the chicken pho and had the same opinion - just ok. The pho did the job to satisfy us. We were able to pay with credit card. This is not a spot I would recommend but I won't knock it completely down until I try the beef pho. read more

Plenty of free parking in the plaza. The building is an older establishment. The bathroom has a strong odor of cleaning solution and not the cleanest area. The food is ok, not spectacular but not bad. The shrimp pho broth was not the best, the pho noodles were too soft, the shrimps were good and a good number of shrimps were in the pho. The beef pho broth was very oily, the beef was good. They offer pho, banh mi, bun, rice dishes etc. They have a big screen tv. Service was ok. Prices are very reasonable. Wow the service was fast, first time trying this pho spot. Went it to get a pick up I placed and they brought it out super fast. Love that the packaging was nice and separated so noddles would not be soggy by the time I got home, they were also not skimp with the garnish or side items. so I've eaten at so called the "best pho restaurants" in OC. All the way from Diamond Bar, Brea, Yorba Linda, Tustin, Irvine, Costa Mesa, Lake Forest, Garden Grove, Westminister. At least 20 different pho restaurants. But this is my #1 authentic pho restaurant. And I say that with joy and gratitude towards the owner, chef and employees. 90% of the pho restaurants only want to make money off off customers. But here they take pho seriously! Pho Crystal has been around over 10 years and they definitely have special know how. Everytime I've eaten here pho quality and flavor have been consistent. I just wish they would add more noodle portion same as extra noodle. Meat portion is good Fresh sliced onion, and veggies. Home made chili oil. Soup is so good I think about the soup everyweek and I look forward to eat here. I live 30-40 minutes away so my wish is that I live closer to this incredible pho restaurant so I can come here more often! (We don't like that gentrified stuff but to each their own) The ambiance is nice and clean and the servers seat you fast, bring your food fast and are very attentive. The food is AMAZING. You can always tell by the egg roll if a pho place is going to be good or not. So as soon as I tried the egg rolls I knew....it's gonna be good.
