DeLacy Ford

DeLacy Ford

Before reading this review, please realize that I am an Elite Yelper with over 600 reviews…read more Please believe what I say. Now, onto Delacy Ford. I've had a myriad of problems with my vehicle -all of which were not correctly rectified by the service department. From Control arms to sensors they never knew what they were doing. They ordered things incorrectly, parts got lost, incorrect parts ordered, delay, delay, delay, after delay. Glenroy in the service department really doesn't understand what's going on. I spoke with the owner Peter Delacy many times and though he tried his best -his dealership is run by incompetence. When I finally got my car back, they did not charge me, which was wonderful. However, not three hours after I drove off the lot, my AC condenser broke. Coincidence - I think not. The AC condenser was not the problem. I brought the car in for. I took it to my AC guy- he said that it looked like my AC condenser was tampered with. Now I don't know whether the service department here at this dealership did that- because they ate so much money fixing my vehicle?? You know I can't tell. But I will never set foot in that dealership again and I don't think you should either. Be aware, and BEWARE.

Update to Delacy unable to fix vehicle after 5 weeks…read more Dropped vehicle off at Towne Ford on 9/15 & received a call on 9/16 stating vehicle was fixed. Pathetic that Delacy is unable to service vehicles. Maybe Lynn & her staff should go back to Automotive 101

I cannot recommend Transit Auto Detail in Elma, NY highly enough. While driving from New York City…read moreto Canada to visit my family, my car suddenly lurched about 45 minutes from the border, forcing me to pull over. I honestly thought I was going to be stranded overnight waiting for repairs. From the moment the flatbed driver arrived, I knew I was in good hands. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and reassuring during what was a very stressful situation. When my vehicle arrived at the shop, the entire team was professional, efficient, and genuinely caring. They quickly diagnosed the problem and had my car repaired in just 2 1/2 hours. Thanks to their outstanding service, I was able to continue my trip and make it home to see my family the very same day. Their honesty, expertise, and commitment to helping customers are truly exceptional. If you're ever in need of trustworthy, fast, and compassionate automotive service, Transit Auto Detail is the place to go. Thank you to everyone on your team for turning what could have been a travel nightmare into such a positive experience. I am incredibly grateful!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I want to strongly caution anyone and everyone: stay far, far…read moreaway from this company. I had a dead battery and was stranded in The Spot parking lot across from the Buffalo airport. Unfortunately, AAA dispatched this circus act, and what should've been a simple jump turned into the most outrageous, incompetent ordeal I've ever experienced. Dylan, the first technician, spent nearly an hour fumbling with a basic jump-start before announcing I "needed a new battery." Fine. I was exhausted and just wanted to go home. But what followed was beyond unacceptable. This man literally caught himself on fire. Sparks were flying repeatedly, he couldn't remove the battery, he nearly broke the battery housing entirely, and he ended up calling someone to talk him through what should've been a routine procedure. After close to two hours of chaos, he finally gave up and called another tech to take over while my parking fees kept climbing. Tony, the next technician, was professional and kind, but even he was stunned by the destruction Dylan left behind. My hood wouldn't close, random broken parts were on the ground, and he actually handed me the pieces Dylan broke and took photos for evidence. He was just as shocked as we were and had to untangle the mess just to tow my car to their shop. Completely absurd. And then came the owner, Mike, who somehow managed to make the entire situation worse. His attitude was dismissive, uninterested, and downright insulting. When I explained everything that happened, his response was: "Poor Dylan." Excuse me? Poor Dylan? After his employee set himself on fire, damaged my vehicle, wasted hours of my time, and left my hood unable to close? The lack of accountability was absolutely astonishing. I asked for an itemized bill so I could show my mechanic if issues came up later. He claimed it would be mailed, SHOCKER, it never arrived. He texted it instead, making it clear he had no intention of treating this situation seriously. His tone was apathetic at best. And his idea of making it right? Offering me a free detailing. I'd rather detail the entire vehicle with a Q-tip and a prayer than trust this company with anything ever again. Bottom line: I will never patronize this business again, and I strongly advise anyone in need of roadside service to tread carefully. Incompetence is one thing, but incompetence combined with zero accountability is dangerous.

Took my 2020 Ford F150 to Scruggs Automotive in Elma for a Bilstein front and rear suspension kit,…read moreordered aftermarket Fuel wheels and had them mount/balance/install new Mickey Thompson tires. Their quote was reasonable and competitive with other shops in WNY, however their 3 year/36k mile warranty was far superior, and the 3% back on your entire purchase (parts AND labor) was unmatched as well. My truck was dropped off after hours and completed the following business day. Nick was easy to work with and kept me informed throughout the entire process from ordering parts to the completion of the installation. My truck looks better than I could've imagined and I will definitely be recommending Scruggs to any friends and family looking for a reputable and reasonable shop.

I brought my 2022 to Neighborhood Car Care - Elma after noticing a bulge in one of my tires. Since…read morethe vehicle was already there, I also authorized an oil change and left my vehicle overnight to await the inspection. After inspecting my vehicle, I was presented with an estimate of approximately $4,500 in repairs, not including the cost of replacing all four tires. The estimate didn't seem right to me, so I declined the repairs and went up to pick up my car. I watched the technicians pull my vehicle out of the garage following the oil change, paid my bill, and drove about 30 miles directly to my regular mechanic for a second opinion. I'm incredibly glad I did. After a thorough inspection, my mechanic determined that the extensive repairs recommended by Neighborhood Car Care - Elma were not needed. The only repair my vehicle actually needed was a new set of tires because of the damaged sidewall. Even more concerning, he found blowback oil from an improperly installed oil filter upon lifting the car to do an inspection when I arrived. He explained that the oil filter and O-ring had not been installed correctly during the oil change that had just been completed. He corrected the issue, and I was fortunate he caught it when he did. Left uncorrected, it could have resulted in a catastrophic engine failure. I called Neighborhood Car Care - Elma immediately and explained what my mechanic had found. They apologized and stated they would refund the cost of the oil change. Between the approximately $4,500 repair estimate (before tires) for repairs that my mechanic determined were unnecessary and an improperly installed oil filter on a routine oil change, I have no confidence in the quality of the work performed. A routine oil change should be just that--routine. Based on my experience, I believe it's better to steer clear.
