I have always loved this place! I used to drive all the way deep into Rancho just to have it. It's been years since this location opened up off of the 15, so this review is long overdue. I love the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and been and cheese burritos from here. I know what the heck right, why a freakin bean and cheese. Lol but I LOVE BEAN and CHEESE burritos! I always ask for my shrimp and fish tacos extra crispy with the sauce on the side so that if I am traveling, then they don't get soft. PreCOVID- I would just eat them there. Super bomb tacos. If I did have to complain, it is because I love salsa and they are so cheap with theirs. They gave me 4 small cups for 6 tacos and 3 burritos and was not pleased when I asked for more. I ordered some carne asada nachos w/ fish tacos from the drive thru, when I got home I destroyed the tacos 1st only to get to my main meal to open it and find out they only gave me chips beans and old guacamole. This place was always busy for lunch, but that was back when Governor Nuance allowed in door dining. Now there is only drive thru and the prices are slightly higher because of the rising cost. The shrimp tacos were okay. They were overly fried.. the breading was to rubbery either from being over cooked or using old oil to fry them. The tortillas were rubbery not soft. The rice and beans are okay. They don't give you a chili or chips with your order, you have to pay extra for that. I'd 5 star this place if they actually maintained their "salsa bar" many of the items were limited, as if they were running out or operated a whole day without caring to refill it. As for the operation; pretty good customer service though quite a scammy surcharge, 4% if you don't pay cash, and if you pay cash a "4%" savings -- that's what I'd call quite scammy, savage and not normal for restaurants. I'd be more understanding if they stated due to "credit card transaction fees" though even then no business should be extending a 4% fee as their fees are nowhere near this, so if you want to scam uncle sam, be my guest but don't make me pay for it. I have been a customer at this particular site since it opened and I can't tell you how disappointed I am that SB headquarters has not made an effort in the past three years, to fix the order board speaker and microphone. I just happened to walk by because I was hungry but wasn't sure if I should eat. What got me to order food from here was their Wednesday deal for fish tacos. Instead of one fish taco being about $2.00, it was about $1.30. I saw this place had average to poor reviews, but I thought, why not try it? Anyhow, I go in a order 5 fish tacos. They're served with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and crema. They you can add on the salsa/radish/chili on the side from the toppings bar. The fillets I got for my tacos were a hit and miss. Three of them had an alright amount of actual fish meat in it, while the others were mostly the fried breading. I left half of my last taco because it was just breading. The tacos became gross to me at the end or it because greasy/fried up breading in tacos??? No thank you. Also the tortillas were warmed, but the texture of them felt stale. Big bummer, because I love corn tortillas. So the quality of these or whatever they were heated or cooked in was poor. The dressings for the tacos are probably what made them tolerable to eat. but I drank a good bit of water after. No matter the deal and if you're hungry. My first time at this location and ordered combo tres which is the battered shrimp tacos combo. Lady in drive through didn't understand that I wanted battered shrimp and kept trying to give me grilled shrimp tacos which is a totally different combo. Asked for no onions/no pico which was on the receipt but to my surprise when I got home there were onions on my tacos. Also disappointed that this location doesn't have piña aqua fresca and also their combos don't come with a small bag of chips. The location on Foothill and Carnelian has both of these so I will be going there from now on. The tacos themselves were ok after I picked the onions out and tried to put them back together. Should've listened to reviews and went to other Rancho location even though it's further from my home. Lesson learned. read more

So I don't know what's going on with this restaurant. Over the past few years especially after all the restaurants started opening, it just seems like their service and their food is not as it used to be. You go through the drive-through and you could literally wait about 15 minutes and there's maybe one or two cars in front of you. They are so tight on their sauce when you ask for some. I ordered a Bean and cheese burrito and I asked for a very easy cheese. Came home and it look like it was only cheese and a little bit of beans.
