If you're looking for overpriced mediocre food, you might try it. But don't expect to get what you order, or to get good service when you bring it to their attention. We chose here based on several great reviews, those must be confused with somewhere else. Stay Away!

The food is amazing me and my husband finished almost everything we ordered. The service was really fast. Highly recommended will be back soon . My favorite one was Aguachilies so yummy.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but also super disappointed with my first Senor Cactus experience. My chicken was raw and the service was awful. Waitress was very unfriendly and the bathrooms were dirty. They did have good queso and margs, though! Don't recommend :(

They have some really wide variety of dishes, you can get some very traditional dishes from Laos such as mango with fish sauce ( which I don't recommend unless you're very adventurous ). But there pho-rito is amazing as is just pretty much everything on the menu. One of the things I need to say about this place though is that the owner and staff are just so very nice and attentive. I really like to support local businesses and I really like to know the faces behind the businesses, and these are some of the most wonderful people on the planet. You'll be very happy with the food, the service, and the fact that your money is going to a local business staffed by wonderful people. Don't be intimidated if you don't know much about the cuisine, the staff will be happy to guide you and help you with anything on the menu. Just let them know your taste, your likes and dislikes, and your level of spice and they will guide you to some of those delicious food in knoxville. I will be back!

We had a reservation and were seated quickly at a cute table for two. Unbeknownst to us, it was taco Tuesday, suggesting $3 tacos of various proteins. We ordered three as an appetizer and were amazed by how tasty they were. Don't skip the tofu- that was our surprise favorite. My wife ordered the pork belly and I, the enlightened bowl. The pork belly was incredible- the best we've ever had. Tender, soft, rich, and a generous portion. Plenty of leftovers there. My enlightened bowl felt extremely healthy and fresh. I felt like a horse in a pasture. I stole many bites of pork. I might suggest adding a protein besides the salmon crumbles (it comes with those, but think tuna packet texture). Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Farmacy and look forward to our next visit.

High Hopes, Flat Landing…read more I'd had this place bookmarked for ages, and when out-of-town friends came for brunch, I thought, "finally, my chance!" Lesson learned: scope it out solo before bringing guests. We all left underwhelmed, and honestly, I was disappointed. Let's start with the good: it's an adorable spot, the service was stellar, and the cocktails were genuinely great. But the food? A real miss for me. I'd consider giving it another shot -- just not with the same order, or at least with some specific requests in hand. We kicked things off with beignets, which, in hindsight, was a bold move in Tennessee. As NOLA regulars, we know our beignets, and these weren't even in the same ballpark as Café du Monde. Instead of that light, pillowy pull-apart texture, they came out dense and crispy -- more funnel cake than beignet. The breakfast mains were a visual triumph and a textural letdown. I tried all three dishes, and my fellow diners agreed across the board. The "Sunny" had great flavor on top, but the bread underneath turned to mush almost instantly -- we ended up scraping the toppings off and eating it like a salad. If you order this, ask for the bread toasted. The biscuits and gravy had real potential, but the candied bacon overwhelmed everything with sweetness -- it completely took over the dish and made it hard to finish. Dave's eggs were fine on their own, but the hash alongside them wasn't much to look at, and the flavor didn't redeem the presentation.

She knows the menu like the back of her hand--seriously, she's tried every combination imaginable and helped us decide between a couple options. Her recommendations were spot on. I ended up getting the Oh Boy half sandwich, and I love that you can order it as a half. I was torn between that and the Tuscan chicken, but I would order the Oh Boy again in a heartbeat. I also had the pasta salad with both ranch and tahini--such a great option because you always want to try more than one dressing! We tried the Southwest salad too, and it was perfect with the chipotle ranch. Another really cool thing is that you can buy their dressings or hummus to go, which I'll definitely be doing next time. I also had a mocktail that was super fresh and felt really clean--kind of like their version of a spicy margarita, and it was delicious. Overall, great food, great options, and amazing service. Next time I'm coming back for brunch (which is only on Saturdays and Sundays)!

Not much to look at and nothing unique about it. Everything was clean, place seems to be pretty new. Hostesses were friendly and we got a table for lunch immediately. Food was mediocre. Lamb sausage was nothing special. Tried a vegan pepperoni -- wouldn't recommend. $60+ for two pizzas was an obscene price for the quality and the location. It's Knoxville, not DC. Wouldn't go back. $100 after tip was too much for such a mid-tier meal. Shout out to Kait for doing her best to create a good dining experience, her efforts were noted.

My wife, mom, and I arrived around 7:45 PM--just 15 minutes before their posted 8:00 PM closing time. I asked if it was too late to get dinner, and without hesitation, several staff members welcomed us in with big smiles and said, "not at all." That kind of genuine hospitality is rare, especially that close to closing. Brooklyn took care of us, and she was outstanding. From start to finish, she never once made us feel rushed, and neither did anyone else on staff. There wasn't even the slightest hint that they were trying to wrap things up for the night. That speaks volumes about the culture there. We've driven past this place for years saying, "we need to try it," and now our only regret is not stopping in sooner. The food was phenomenal--true Southern-style comfort food made fresh daily. I had the chicken fried steak, my wife had the pulled chicken, and my mom ordered the bologna sandwich. Every dish was spot on. My wife actually stopped in a month or two ago and has been going back every week or two since--and now I completely understand why. The restaurant was impeccably clean, and the entire staff gave the impression that they genuinely enjoy working there. That kind of environment doesn't happen by accident. They hit the mark in every area--food, service, cleanliness, and overall experience. 10 out of 10 cast iron skillets--seasoned to perfection and worth coming back for again and again. Highly recommend!!!

I had not been in DECADES -- but someone mentioned that they did a good chicken-fried steak, so I had to try. (I'm from Texas where CFS is part of the holy Trinity of Mexican, barbecue and CFS). Well, the CFS was pretty good, but I won't say great. Big, well-breaded, tasty and with good white gravy. But the sides were superb; I had fried green tomatoes and potato salad. I loved the chow-chow sauce combined with ranch dressing on the FGT, and the salad was very creamy and tasty. I'm not a potato salad snob; I've had it done many ways and I know some prefer one style over another....all I know is this went fast. Oh, by the way, it's a BIG meal. No person should eat all of that in one setting! I nearly forgot, I loved the cheese biscuit. It was very dense and so tasty. Hard to stop eating that before I packaged up about half my meal (and enjoyed very much the next day). Amenities-- they sell beer; even though I did not have that day, I know some meals I'd have loved to add a well-priced bottle. Service was great, friendly and responsive. I like the places that let me scan a QR code to pay and tip, and they had that. Also offered lots of desserets, both at the table and with a little bakery corner when you walk in/out, so you could pick up cookies, etc. At first I thought it was a bit pricey ($17 for most meat-and-two plates), but with the quality, worth it all. Oh, I even enjoyed the clientele...this is the kind of place full of older folks, one of whom had to comment on my food as she walked out, and then she stood and chatted with me a few minutes about how good it all was. Classic!

I found myself in Knoxville for work and the stars aligned; I managed to convince my coworkers to come have lunch here! We found parking in a large lot about two blocks away. It sadly wasn't free but we enjoyed walking around and looking in the shops. The inside of the restaurant was clean, cool, and cute. One wall contains lots of coolers/fridges where they store drink options (shout out to Wiseacre beer!) as well as lots of their tamales, which you can take home to prepare. Staff are happy to provide tips on how this can be done, as one of my coworkers took several tamales home (and her family was pleased with them too!). It seemed like only one person was working. He was extremelyyyy soft spoken and not super friendly, honestly, but our food came out in a timely manner and he wasn't rude or anything. Four of us, myself included, got the chicken tinga tamale, and one person got the classic tamale. I got mine as a meal, which came with rice, black beans, and curtido. I also nabbed a bottled tea. Personally, I didn't love the drink selection -- all a little too bougie/health food-y for me (I'm a simple girl who wants a simple Diet Pepsi or Coke or regular fresh brewed sweet tea) - but no big deal. Everything was quite good! I've been trying to decide if I like tamales or not and this place brought me to the conclusion that yes, I do - I just hadn't had one this good before! The corn was fluffy, the chicken was tender and well-seasoned and plentiful, and the salsa on top rounded it out well. The beans and rice were also very well seasoned and tasty accompaniments. I'd never had curtido (fermented cabbage) before, but I'd say it's a bit brighter than its Korean cousin, kimchi. I liked it but the portion was so large and the flavor so strong that I did ultimately tire of it after 4-5 bites. My coworker took the rest home! Overall, I get the hype around the tamales in particular. If you're craving one, definitely give this place a try!
