I had lunch here a couple of days ago. The service was good, the food was okay but very average and the chips were stale. The atmosphere was very nice and I would've expected a lot more people there for a lunch crowd. I don't know, but it may be because the food is not necessarily going to bring people back. There are enough Mexican restaurants in the area that are better which will probably determine why I won't be back. read more

Señor Cactus, an unassuming place with a funny name in a little strip mall, is my new favorite Tex-Mex place in Knoxville. The food was very good -- fresh, flavorful ingredients in traditional but very well-made dishes. My enchiladas suizas were delicious and my parents loved their chile relleno, burritos and tacos. The service was friendly and helpful too. The margaritas were a little sweet but tasty, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything. read more

I love this place! The menu is huge and they have many choicea not just mexican food. They seated us right away and we didnt have to wait on chips and salsa. Our waitress was awesome! She was super friendly and made sure our order was correct and exactly what we wanted. We had several other waiters that came to our table to make sure our meal was good and we were ok. Our drinks were always topped off. Outstanding service! The food was largely portioned and the prices were minimal. The refried beans were alittle spicy but wonderful! The beef in my taco was seasoned perfectly. The queso was delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned well with lots of flavor. They have several tvs to wat h the games, news, etc on. Along with a full service bar. As we left we were handed punch cards to get free meals after the 8th lunch we purchase. It says in the card that Mondays kids eat free with each paying adult. Also military, law enforcement, college students, fireman, and seniors get 10% off their bill with their ID. I highly recommend eating here! They have only been open a week and are doing a wonderful job, it can only grow and get better from here. read more

Decided on a whim to try it out. I got combo fajitas. A huge amount of food but only 3 tortillas. They brought more. Wife did not enjoy her enchiladas. They have a number draw to win gift certificates, a mariachi singer. I enjoyed it. read more

Don't do takeout from this place. I ordered over the phone and they said 10-15 minutes. Pretty sure when I got there to get the food they had not even given my order to the kitchen. It took a total of 45 minutes for the food to come out. They didn't say sorry or anything even remotely close. Food is fine but service is less than expected. read more

Had dinner at this new restaurant located in Karns at the traffic light. Great food and service. Three of us enjoyed a delicious meal at a reasonable prices. The Shrimp Quesadilla was loaded with big shrimp and grilled tomatoes. The Steak Burrito was also loaded with diced steak. I do prefer my steak in bigger pieces however the meat was tender and tasty. My Chicken Chimichanga was delicious. The sides of Mexican Rice and Refried Beans was very tasty. I brought one of them home as the portions were very large. A diner at an adjoining booth ordered the Pineapple Fajita. Served in half of a scooped out pineapple it looked and smelled delicious. I will try this on my next visit, which will be soon. If you get the Mint Magazine in the mail, there are some really good coupons in this months issue. read more

I order to go from here fairly often and the last few meals have been lacking. I've had pico de gallo ($1 a pop!) left off my order several times, I got a cold fried dessert one time, and, yesterday, my tacos were ice cold and didn't have cheese despite specifically asking for it, the sour cream was frozen, and I didn't get my rice side. I like the food here but the attention to detail seems to have declined over the past few months. read more
