Just ok. Not good not bad. Very little flavor. All the women came out of the back when we walked in. You could tell they were all gabbing and hanging out and us walking in made them work again.... Margarita was good. Nice that they had beer. They have more specials online but this location only posts specials # 1-4 on their menu board It was clean and food was ready decently fast. Came here around 4 pm on a Friday. Would definitely do the drive through next time. The Spanish mariachi music blasting over the speakers was extremely annoying eating here in person....

Just the delivery man again; but Senor Taco Express never fails to fulfill! And it helps to order on line with convenient pick up!

It says buy 9 burritos get one free! Why can't I get the burrito I want?

I've been here enough times to where I could fill up one of their free burrito cards. I go to redeem it and they tell me that I can't get the burrito that I want even though there's no limitations listed on the card. Kind of feels like a bait and switch. Either list the limitations of the promotion on the card or honor it.

Great little fast but fresh, authentic Mexican food chain featuring street tacos, burritos, salads, and bowls. They use fresh fish and shrimp as well as savory meats like chicken, birria, and carne asada. They have a fresh Salsa bar , daily specials, Taco Tuesday, and a pretty reasonably priced happy hour with $1.00 margaritas and $2.00 beers daily from 3-9 pm. They showcase local Arizona artists in their decor and murals they have a friendly staff, so if you're looking for authentic quick Mex, this is the place.

No discount for less than 5 people??? Just asking for a friend ha

Food is freshly made flour tortillas are soft and the service is friendly the place is clean and the salsa bar has lots of choices

Taco Tuesday! I wanted a quick taco meal and was driving by Señor Tacos. I was going to get their Tuesday special of street tacos. Both selections they offered were red meat so I ordered off the regular menu. One grilled chicken taco with a smear of guacamole. They were fairly busy. My order came up in no time. Loads of chopped chicken and guacamole on top. There is a salsa bar with salsa, lemons, grilled peppers and onions to dress up the taco. It was filling and a good stop when you're hungry. Drive through, indoor and patio seating. Shared parking lot.

    A great reason to dine-in

This is becoming a Sunday lunch regular - fish tacos $2 Margaritas! Best deal in north Scottsdale! Then there's the weekly regular order of carne asada street tacos when running errands. I mean it's right next to Sprouts. How convenient! Keeps me from being hungry before grocery shopping. And these tacos are the perfect size for a quick bite in between stops. Just get too! There's so much meat in them one more and you'll be stuffed and ready for a nap. If I'm headed straight home I'll get a carne asada burrito. Perfect for lunch and dinner because I'll cut it in half and save some. But when I dine in, I like to try some thing that isn't so behind the wheel friendly, like the carne asada french fries. Even the half order is oh my God huge, I joked about offering a quarter order. Thankfully it keeps OK to reheat later. So happy to have Senior Taco Express in the neighborhood!

Doesn't look very fancy from the outside, a bit on the fast food scale. But worth a stop when your hundgry and need a fast meal! Open in the morning thru evening til 9pm. They have a drive thru, so that's convienient if you don't want to go in to order. Shrimp, Asada, Chicken, Pork and Vegetarian tacos. Yummy chipotle sauce, diablo sauce, baja sauce and more!

Do yourself a favor and check out the seafood here. We are regulars at this place because their portions are incredibly generous for the price point. Some notable items are the shrimp tacos, fish tacos, shrimp burrito, and shrimp quesadilla. Each shrimp taco has at least 5-6 shrimp, the burrito has 10+ shrimp, and the quesadilla probably has 12+ shrimp. And these are large shrimp we're talking about! They are plump, juicy, and fresh. I have never seen shrimp cooked this well at a fast food place before. The flavor reminds me of shrimp scampi. In fact, this place cooks their seafood better than many sit-down establishments I've been to. The quesadilla comes with 2 quesadillas - enough to feed 2 people. The tortilla is grilled so well with a great buttery / cheesy flavor on the exterior. The side salad was fresh too.

Everything was very good, and the sauce on the pizza was especially excellent. Service was good -- not great, but good. The DJ actually added some nice ambience to the place and gave the restaurant a good vibe. Now here's my problem. This is a BIG restaurant. I'm not talking about some tiny little neighborhood place where they have to squeeze every table into every corner. Yet somehow, they sat the four of us right next to the server computer station, where the staff is constantly coming and going, punching in checks, picking things up, walking back and forth -- the whole time you're trying to eat dinner. And to make it worse, that table is close to the front door. This is Arizona. Every time that door opens, you get a blast of heat. I can only imagine in colder weather you'd get the opposite problem. I've been around restaurants a long time, and some tables just shouldn't be tables. That's one of them. I understand nobody wants to give up a four-top, but in a restaurant that size, come on. Move the table or get rid of it. The guest experience should be worth more than squeezing in four extra seats. The food absolutely deserves a return visit. Just do yourself a favor if they try to seat you by that computer station near the front door, ask for another table.

When I told the server, he replaced it, but didn't give everyone new glasses. Only me. My friend ordered a wrap and asked for it to be gluten free. The person who brought the food told her that it was gluten free. The server, who had taken the order, came back and told her it wasn't gluten free. He told her he'd replace it and take it off of her bill. It took her forever to get the new wrap. And when she got the bill, he hadn't removed it from her tab.

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.

We both got skinny margaritas, and they were really good. You could actually taste the tequila and fresh ingredients rather than an overly sweet margarita mix. We both ordered the Breakfast Burrito for $14, which comes with housemade chicken sausage, roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs, green chilis, mozzarella, cheddar, and fire-roasted tomato salsa. We also got ketchup on the side. The burrito was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff explained that they focus on fresh, locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, and you could definitely taste the quality. The ambiance was great too. I loved the wood details throughout the restaurant, everything looked clean and well maintained, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The place was buzzing with loud electronic music and tons of people dining -- I think because the ceiling is so high the noise is amplified. Because it was so busy it took a while for the server to come over but he did with waters which was nice but then the menus are all on QR codes -- which is annoying because it is hard to look at everything and because the menu is very confusing it would have been nice to see everything on paper. The menu is confusing because the selections are very odd -- I thought it was a mexican-asian/sushi fusion restaurant -- which I guess it is but it was still really hard to create the best food experience when I couldn't see everything available. My friend was hungry so she immediately put in an order for calamari and I was being called to order the blood orange margarita slushie. When the margarita came it was like nothing I have ever seen before. It looked more like a milkshake or like a creamsicle. I dove in thinking it would be too sweet but it was actually quite delicious and I sucked it back in a second! Also I put in an order for the edamame which sounded really good in the description -- "woodfired" and spicy miso butter -- but when they came they were really spicy and the woodfired element was making me cough, strangely enough -- I couldn't finish them! Finally after waiting forever we got the drinks and apps. It then took another 15 minutes to order our food. Again it was busy and my friend and I were catching up so it wasn't a big deal. We wanted a fairly light dinner so we just ordered one roll -- the Fuego, which had yellowtail and a whitefish, chili, cilantro and cucumber plus a pico de gallo on top -- it was very flavorful -- although a bit spicy for those who are spice wimps like me. Overall, thought it was a good meal but wasn't blown away.
