Was curious about this place, tucked away in the shady corner of Princeton Plaza. It was Thursday just before 6 and I was the only one in there. There are like four other Mexican places nearby so not a good sign i was by my lonesome. But I was mistaken! I ordered two burritos one super Al pastor and the other a plain chicken beans and rice. On the upper end of pricing for burritos but who know now with inflation. Anyways cut to the chase. The burritos were the bomb! Chock full of crispy but tender pieces of al pastor and well balance portions of beans rice and guacamole. It was a great tasting burrito. What really made it was the myriad of salsa I could try on each bite all of them tasty and different. They also had fresh radishes, pickled jalapeños and veggies as well as onions and other fresh and pickled goodies. And to top it all off they give you free chips even when ordering to go! Who does that anymore. Great find. Recommend and I will be back to try other things on the menu as by the time I got my food the place had filled to a healthy dozen or so people was spying many other dishes and they all looked good! read more

Oh noooooo! Today I got the saddest, driest steak fajitas! I've come here since before Covid. Food used to be good. I don't think I'll come again. Look at that dry, tasteless beef sliced thin as paper!!!! My bf got shredded enchiladas and they are ok. The only flavor is HOT. Not even salty or garlic or anything. DID THIS PLAVE GO DOWNHILL? CHANGE MANAGEMENT? I don't think I'll ever go back to figure it out. The food was the opposite of what u was looking for. Save the risk ppl. Pass it on. This place has been a staple for us and the food always delicious and consistent, but yesterday, that changed. :( My husband always gets the chili verde plate and I always do 2 fish tacos. His was up to the usual deliciousness, but mine was a huge disappointment with the quantity. I opened my fish tacos and found each had the saddest amount of fish. For $7.25 a taco, I got 4" x 2" fish fillets on each taco that were about 1/2" thick. Almost $15 for 4 bites of fish. The fish was very tasty, but I was not happy since I had to come up with something else to make up my dinner while my husband enjoyed his meal. Next time, I'm ordering 1 taco to see if things improve otherwise it's time to find a new place. read more

Senor Taco at 1375 Blossom Hill Rd, Ste 11, San Jose, CA 95118 (Next to Cup & Saucer) is an amazing little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant that I've been going to prior to COVID. Designed primarily as a take out, it does have some tables and chairs to eat there if you desire. It has a wonderful salsa bar filled with all my favorites. The restaurant is kept very clean and the staff has always been polite and attentive. It is family owned and operated and everything they make is fresh and delicious. It is a family friendly environment and the pricing is fair. I really like how they give chips with your order and have a great selection of Jarritos soda to choose from. The burritos, tacos, quesadillas, rice, beans, and everything else I've tried are outstanding, not too salty. I've never had a bad meal there. I'll just say ditto to all the other positive reviews. The few negative reviews over the last year refer to delivery services, website, or a bad eating experience. I really can't comment on this as I don't use those services or order from websites (often higher prices). However, Senor Taco is always busy with customers and I've seen lots of take out each time I go there. I really like this place and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it! read more

After living in the South Bay most of my life, I am surprised that I did not find this place sooner. The place looks clean, and there is even a small sink to wash your hands by the wall. The salsa bar has more than 3 standard salsas with grilled chile pepper, radishes and grilled onion. I ordered grill fish that came with rice, beans, salad, choice of corn or flour tortilla, and chips for $17.50. Nice meal under $20! The food was flavorful and family style Mexican food. Good portion and yummy! Great taqueria find! So I actually found this place by accident since the taco place that I was gonna go to was closed on New Years. I really enjoyed the super burrito from here and usually am more picky on my burritos. My friend got the Super Burrito (Carnitas-fried pork) without beans" and the rice and meat was seasoned well! We both shared our food so we could try both food. I got 2 Sopes (1 carne asada (beef) and 1 al pastor (pork)- not the plate. I've only tried Sopes from a taqueria in LA and am used to the hard crunch wrap but here they had a softer doughty texture which was different but interesting and gave generous portion- I felt like the sopes was missing a sauce so poured the avocado salsa over it which I definitely recommend since it added more flavoring. I would also recommend adding Parmesan cheese on the sopes if you buy it to go and eat it at home. . it adds a great flavor Taqueria gives free chips as well but I was kinda confused when asked if we wanted any chips since usually other places just give it without asking (was wondering if we were gonna get charged extra). Besides that, friendly staffs, quick service and yummy meal! Great place to grab your Mexican food cravings! There's also plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot that they share with other businesses. Stopped in for lunch with my sister today and food is delicious! We each ordered a chile verde super taco and it was huge. Lots of tender pork and guacamole. All ingredients were so fresh and flavorful. We also added the regular brisket taco on the daily special to our order and they were great too. The two brisket tacos were served with sautéed onions and a super spicy roasted pepper. Salsa bar is fresh with unique items such as fresh radishes. The taco chips that came free with our order were the perfect balance of crispness and salt. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive and everything tasted homemade. Long over due review but we've been going to Senor Taco for over 10 yrs and food had always been solid. We always take to-go bc of our kids so I can on speak from that experience. Love the salsa bar, condiments and all. My go to was always super burritos but when they started offering pozole I had to switch. Love the rich soup, hominy and all. As a family we've also ordered mixed fajitas, super tacos, chimichangas, and crunchy flautas and we were always happy. Love this gem of a place and so close to home. read more

I love this local taqueria, they have very generous portions and their prices are very reasonable. I got the shrimp tacos for around 6.00 each, but they came LOADED and they were huge, I'm glad I didn't get 3 because I could barely finish the 2 I got. Food comes out quickly and the staff is very kind. They give complementary chips that are served warm and you can grab any salsa and toppings at the self serve salsa bar. Senior Taco is an excellent restaurant that is family owned by Kevin and his parents. I always order the wet chili verde burrito which is one of the best I've had and request to have it prepared with beans, no rice and sauce on top of burrito and also inside. They also make very good tacos and steak fajitas. Chips are provided at no cost and there's a complimentary fresh salsa bar. There's even a little faucet and sink next to the salsa bar to wash your hands. Place is kept very clean and prices are very affordable. I came in today (Tuesday) at about 11:30AM. There were a few customers there but by the time I left, it was pretty full. It is a small restaurant but they used the room that they do have for plenty of seating. Their parking lot is huge as it's shared with the Outdoor hardware/landscape store and a handful of other businesses. I wanted to ask to use their bathroom but they didn't seem to have one. If they did you might have to walk back into the kitchen area. The owner was very kind and you can tell he's passionate about his business and he wants to succeed. The service was spot on! The food did take a little bit to come out but everything's made to order. So zero complaints there. This was my first time there and they did not disappoint! I got one pastor and one asada and the portions were huge!! I tried their spicy red sauce and it is in fact, spicy. I liked their house red salsa and their orange sauce the best. The orange sauce is savory with a little heat to it. Their portions were huge too. It kind of threw me off as I didn't expect that. I always take the tortillas apart and make2 tacos out of one lol and they legitimately 4 full tacos. They have a self serve salsa bar with a bunch of options! I'll definitely be back!!! When I was refilling my drink I glanced at others people's food and the portions were all large. Prices are average but so worth it. $3 per taco and more for the specialty meats but it's all clearly labeled. read more

First time trying their food and I ordered it via delivery. All items I purchased were in the bags which can be a gamble when ordering several things via delivery. I really love lengua so I ordered a taco to give it a try. I sadly was not impressed with the lengua. It was bland and lacking flavor. Paying the extra 2.00 for this meat choice was not worth it. I also ordered the enchiladas & a side of Guacamole and chips. Both were pretty good! Their rice and beans taste authentic. I also really liked the red sauce on the enchiladas, which tasted homemade. A comfortable taqueria, it was a nice place to grab a bite to eat and catch up with some friends. Had plenty of seating and was pretty quiet so it was nice and calm for a wholesome meal. The food was as good, gave big portions so for the price I felt that it was a good deal. It also came out pretty quickly which was nice because our group was pretty hungry. I ordered a carne asada super burrito which was well packed and had good flavor on its own. The sauces provided were also very good, I enjoyed the orange sauce in particular. It was a little creamier than most orange sauces but still had a nice level of spice and some smoky flavor. I enjoyed my time here, I would come back if I ever had the craving for a burrito, but it's not anything that will blow your expectations out of the water. So we ordered from DD tonight and I am sad to report it was awful. We ordered two chimichangas, one with shredded beef and one with chili verde. The shredded beef was bland and weird tasting. No spice at all. The chili verde was slightly more spicey, but not at all verde (no green sauce in it at all). We had a hard time telling it apart from the shredded beef. They were both super soggy, mine was missing sour cream and lettuce and salsa. The only upside was it got here fast and hot. Too bad it was inedible. Also they sent us two tubs of something red that we did not order, and were not labelled. Tasting it gave us no clue what it was, as it was just bland and red, with some chunks of stuff. Also it was super high temperature, like burning hot, when it got here. This meal was an overpriced waste of time and money. I hope this was like a ghost kitchen that messed up their food, but we haven't been to their actual location in a while, so I don't know if they've slipped on quality since our last visit. I've tried burritos and tacos from taquerias all over the South San Jose area and Senor Taco has proven to be the gold standard that I keep coming back to time and time again. They knock it out of the park with their hefty Super Burritos, loaded with everything you could ever want for a very reasonable price. Another one of my go-to favorites is their regular carnitas tacos, with the quality and flavor of the meat far exceeding other local taquerias. They have excellent service, especially if you dine in as they will usually give you grilled onions and a roasted pepper to accompany your order of tacos along with a generous helping of fresh tortilla chips. The other thing that really sets them apart is their salsa selection. Many local taquerias may have one red and one green salsa, but Senor Taco offers both a mild and hot red as well as a chile verde and my personal favorite, a spicy orange cream salsa. Pre-Covid they had an even more expansive salsa bar, but for now they continue to offer those four and they are all great. Senor Taco is a constant presence in our dining rotation and I don't see that changing anytime soon as they continue to deliver a delicious, quality experience! read more

Tried this restaurant on DoorDash. Me and my friend ordered and split some asada tacos and an Al pastor burrito. First off the order didn't come with salsa which was disappointing. I checked the menu afterwards and they charge .25 cents for salsas what a ripoff. A burrito or taco dish should come with at least a couple salsas. The asada tacos were ok, the meat was really dry that's the only complaint. The burrito was large which is a good thing. The al pastor meat had good flavor, however the meat was on the chewy side. Not as tender as I like it to be. The biggest disappointment about the burrito was the refried beans, they taste nasty like the Rosarita canned refried beans. Definitely would opt for some pinto beans next time. But i hope they are made fresh and not out of a can. Overall a 3 out of 5, could be better. read more

I am not a fan of this mall. It is super hard to find stores because of the design of the mall it took me a little while to find this taqueria as expected. This is a really good taqueria.
