Went for the first time I was in the mood for salsa and chips was told they didn't have salsa We ordered Flautas ala carte they brought a dinner plate let the waitress know that we just wanted the Flautas so she takes it to the kitchen returns and says you can just have it, no charge so I thought we would just be charged the ala carte price. I've been here with my dad a couple of times now. The servers are very nice and it's clear that they care about the business and the customers. The place is small but well maintained. The music can be a little loud sometimes. My dad has had the Chile Verde and the Carnitas platter. The portions are very generous and he was able to eat off it for a couple of days. I've had the carnitas platter and carnitas quesadilla. Again, generous portions and the carnitas are so flavorful. I get overwhelmed with smells and if they are not good smells it really throws me off. The restaurant doesn't smell good outside but I decided to go for it. But really the inside doesn't smell that great either! The chili verde is decent tasting but I'll take it home where the world smells better. I love the Shrimp Tostado but I usually eat at the restaurant with lots of whole cooked shrimp. I ordered 3 tostados for me & friends coming for lunch. I ordered a 2 item hard shell, shredded beef taco lunch. I received 2 shredded beef enchiladas. I told the server I received the wron order. she checked her order pad and said she submitted it wrong but it would take another 20-30 minutes to get my order. I told her to for get it. The enchiladas were horrible. Couldn't finish my lunch. When I went to pay they charged me for two meals. When I brought the mistake to they're attention they looked at the bill and said it was correct. After speaking with the Mgr they agreed I charged to much. Let me start off by saying, all the food pictures were NOT taken on the same day. I've just been saving them. We haven't had a bad meal yet. We started off with their chilaquiles. You can order these red or green,green is spicier. You can also order it with different kinds of meat. And also of course eggs. These were unbelievably tasty. I could not finish my order. My husband had the menudo. Although we had to send it back to be warmed, the menudo tasted very good. We just figured it had sat for a bit because they were really busy that day. We noticed some specials that were being advertised on a small card on the table so we vowed to come back on the Thursday for the tacos. They did not disappoint. You'll need to purchase a drink in order to get the potato tacos at the price that are on special. Again, Not Disappointed. Their caldo de res is full of meat. I take it out, veggies and broth are yummy. We went back again on a Tuesday for whatever their Tuesday special was, and it was flautas. Had a special price if you purchase a drink, again. Also very good. These were those kind of flautas that had lots of meat rolled inside. Coffee is really good. And of course, the cokes do not taste like syrup or watered down The wait staff And the cook are very nice and quick to fill your cups, quick to notice you need more napkins, or water. The food and service is a hit and missed. Every experience eating there or take out is different. Sometimes the e service can be awesome and delicious food but sometimes their food taste bland with horrible service. Especially when we get take out it seems they don't really care. Sometimes forget to add the utensils, salsa etc the food doesn't always taste the same. It's sad because I used to love getting all my Mexican food there . My husband had a 3 item combo that he said was really good. He got a taco, an enchilada and a chili relleno.. I had a taco and tamal a la carte. My only critique is the masa on the tamal could have used a little more seasoning. I tried it dry without any kind of sauce because I wanted to see what it was like. Other than that I thought the food was really good and I loved all the salsa and chili sauce they had I tried the rice and beans and I could tell right away that they were homemade. Dropped in for a Sunday a.m. eggs Benedict breakfast, but the server didn't know if they had any Hollandaise sauce. Then, I was told the cook does NOT do poached eggs on the weekends. WTH? Eggs arrived HARD. Who teaches these cooks? Replacements were totally runny (even the whites) and not safe to eat. Coffee was excellent as was the server. BUT, when I went to pay, I was told there was a 3.5% "service charge" for using my credit card. WTH? Going forward, I will NOT patronize ANY restaurant which sticks its customers with any surcharges!! This place is super close to our house. Thank goodness because I already know what I am going to order next time. We eat dinner early, so we had the place to ourselves for a while. The server was absolutely lovely! I ordered the two chile rellenos plate with rice and beans and Jamaica to drink. My husband ordered the wet carne asada burrito with green sauce. We (my wife & I) have been coming here since it switched from the Country Junction a few months ago. Like all new businesses, Senorial had some high spots and low spots in service. The food has been a constant as being quite flavorful. Some days the meals were a little bland, but most of the time our meals were warm and tasty. We frequent this restaurant at least once a week. Recently, we noticed Senorial has settled in with regular staff. The quality of service has greatly improved. What we noticed immediately from our first visit is that the staff is clearly striving to make the best impression possible. The menu is vast and I think we have tasted everything. As I mentioned, the meals have been tasty, but we are now realizing the meals have become even more DELICIOUS! We honestly believe in time this place will be the talk of the town and we will be waiting a long time for a table. read more
