Such a fun time! We were looking for an escape room at first, but the wait for the one nearby was several hours. We have a 4 and 6y/o so that wait was not really an option for us. We walked by and went in to Sensology and Noa was at the front. She thoroughly explained the whole thing. She let us know that our age kids might not actually play but act as more supporting roles and also, there is a completely pitch black room for one of the challenges which could be a problem for some kids. We talked to our kids and explained everything she said and they were in. Idk if I'm biased or what but I feel like my kids are excellent communicators and at least one of them is really good at problem-solving. Obviously my kids are the best. lol Anyway, as our game master, Noa was incredibly informative, encouraging, and patient. We all had such a fun time!! The kids did surprisingly really really well and just so you know the games are a lot harder than you think they're going to be!!! adults are around $30 and kids six and under are free. Hopefully you guys can have Noah as your host and have as much fun as we did!

Family of 4 came to GSR for an escape room and on the way in we passed this placed. We had no idea what it was, having never heard of it before we decided to give it a go and we had a great time:) Basically there's 5 interactive games using each one of your senses. We split into teams and made it a healthy family competition! My son and his friend are teenagers which was really great for the games because they were able to participate for every game. I imagine it being a bit difficult for some of the littler guys. Still, something everyone should experience at least once. Shout out to our host Zach, he was great:)

We were walking by after spending time at the arcade and looked up what sensology was and decided to try. We were a party of 5 with one being a 3 year old. Our game host was Milo and was very nice, great energy and provide great support. We had so much fun and such a great experience. Besides gambling this was the highlight of our vacation. Creating great memories with our kids. We had so much fun we invited friends to join us the next day. This time our game host was Jess and was very nice and attentive to us. We had a party of 10 and 2 under 6 years old. We all had so much fun. I will tell more of our friends and family about this place. It was a great experience to play together. Every staff member there has a friendly and great attitude.

Our team here had a blast! We came here for a company event and everyone was laughing, smiling and have the greatest time of their lives! 5 STAR REVIEW! Our game hostess was Xander. My party of 7 (4 adults, 2 4yo, 1 3yo) My family and I love staying at GSR and we heard about sensology from the front desk. We decided to book a 7:45pm slot & it was only $31 per person! We split into groups of our own family. We all had a blast. We're so happy we did it & well do it again! SUPER it interactive.

Our family of four loved this experience. Andrea was our game host and she was great. She helped make the experience so fun that we booked a second go for later in the same day. The games were exciting and totally different than any other experience. We are sad this is the only location. We wish there was one near our city. read more

This was an awesome experience! We only had a party of two and it was so much fun! I could see how a party of any size would still yield a great time. Came to GSR and wanted to find something fun to do with our kids and found Sensology! It was so much fun, we highly recommend it if you are visiting GSR. Came across this place while on our stay at the GSR and knew we had to try it. It's set up almost like a game show where there is 2 teams that play against each other to test their senses. IT'S SUCH A FUN TIME!!! Lasts about 90mins. Our host Caroline was awesome, she was attentive with making sure we had drinks and snacks as well as explaining the games! I highly recommend! read more

Really fun activity! We will for sure be doing this again! The game is that your group splits into 2 teams and compete in 5 games, each game designed around around using 1 sense. Super fun was had by all in our group ages 14-51. We really enjoy puzzle rooms, but we all agreed this was even more fun than a puzzle room. We didn't partake but you can order from the bar, and your game master will deliver to where game is being played. Our game master, Samantha was great. For 90 minutes of some good family and friendly competition, you won't find a better thing to do for $30. We had 9 people ranging from 18 to 79 and we will be talking about todays event to celebrate a bday for a long time. Our guide Trinity was awesome. Glad she moved back to Reno. This place was so fun! They just opened, so we had a couple hiccups, but the workers were super friendly, professionally, and quickly fixed all our needs. Kyle was our game master and he was great! He was polite, fun, and explained everything perfectly. He was quick to fix any issues and was accessible to clear up any confusion. We created Sensology to bring a new, fun and exciting experience to Northern Nevada. Bring your team to have each of your five senses separately challenged through solving puzzles. For over seven years, our team has been creating fun and entertainment for families, friends, and teams in the Reno area. Brought to you by the creators of Break Through Reno we decided it's time for something new. This experience was designed so that everyone can play and have fun. My kids loved the oversized robotic claw, reminiscent of an amped up arcade machine. It was a blast trying to get the individually articulating fingers to close around the ball in order to lift it into the basket for the big reward. We also enjoyed the oversized battleship game. So fun to play and we spent 20-30 min there. Mr Potato Head was old school fun too. We made a competition out of it to see who could make the wackiest example. I think I won... or maybe my kids let me win. But the favorite had to be the mini arcade they had setup with some of the best old school cabinets. Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Dig Dug and so many more are all here as part of the exhibit and you could spend a long time here without realizing it! Oh and there's even a Zoltar fortune teller too! When you're done at toytopia you can go learn the history of Wilbur D May on the other side of the museum. RecConnect passes start at $12 per month.

I love going for a walk through the park on a Sunday morning - any time of year. The only thing that ever disappoints me is the behavior of some of the people who visit the park. I just spent a few minutes reading about the history of Idlewild. The park is about 100 years old. The first big celebration held there was the Transcontinental Highway Exposition in 1927. It celebrated two new major highways- 50 and 40. The California Building was built for the Exposition. I also learned that Idlewild used have a zoo and a fish hatchery, and the pool was initially re-routed river water and a few changing rooms. There is a mystery here tho...closing hour is listed as 4:00pm, with notices the gate will be locked and your car stuck...but we've been there later in the afternoon and the gate was open and the parking lot full... We had our dog with us, on her leash, only to see a sign as we left, that dogs are not allowed...sorry.

I felt confident I was in good hands. After missing my bike for a few days, I realized I had no receipt or proof that I had handed over my bike. I remembered something about an email receipt but couldn't find one, so I called. Got their automated phone reply that they would call me. No call. Still missing my bike desperately and worrying about no receipt I called again. Same automated reply that they would call me. On day 10, the estimated finish date, I went down to the shop and parked in the loading dock area and tried to get in. Couldn't so I called, surprisingly they answered, and served up a little attitude about a front door. Whatever! A shorter gentleman let me in and said he hadn't called me back yet, as they are closed on Mondays, it was Tuesday, and the earlier call was not returned either. He let me know the parts just came in and it would probably be done that day. No call. I got an automated text that my bike was ready for pick up...after they had closed for the day. I picked up the following day. Same shorter guy with attitude but I did see the nicer original guy. He apparently doesn't have an issue with people coming and going out the loading dock area and allowed me to take my bike that way, unfortunately I wasn't parked back there, due to attitude guy from day before. The guy with polka dot socks is super nice too. Overall a good experience, and my bike has never been so clean... one star reduction for attitude and no call backs.

I noticed he was smoking out of a crack pipe, he nodded as we walked by, and I gave him a glare and glanced towards my daughter. He nodded back that he understood, and didn't hit it again u til we were walking away. All of them minded their own business, and didn't bother us at all. We acknowledged them, said good morning and kept moving! It was nice to enjoy the area, art, and local wildlife! Great area that felt safe at all times. The surrounding areas were all very clean, the restrooms were also clean and maintained.

The pathway is now double the width and does some gentle meandering around the trees. It will be a lot more accessible for people with mobility issues. The new landscaping is beautiful. The banks of the river have been raised and reinforced to decrease flooding damage. And just a reminder- dogs and other pets are still welcome and must be leashed or otherwise contained. Bicycles, scooters, and skateboards are not allowed. This is one of the top places to visit in downtown.

There is plenty of parking, bathrooms and paths and signage to help you find your way. There is a primary dirt path that makes a large mile long loop through the main park area. The history of the area is very interesting. During the week, you feel like you have the park to yourself. I imagine it gets quite busy during the summer and on weekends. A very nice park, free admission (your tax dollars at work) spectacular views of the mountains, and a great way to learn about the history of the area.

We recently visited Sensology, conveniently located inside the Grand Sierra Resort, and had an absolute blast! It's essential to make an online reservation to avoid any wait times or the disappointment of them being fully booked. This place offers fun, interactive, and challenging games suitable for all ages, making it perfect for families, friends, or even co-workers looking for a unique team-building event. They even have a snack/drink bar where a variety of items are available before, during or after your games. Our host did an excellent job explaining each game and wasn't afraid to enforce the rules when some of the kids got a bit disruptive. The variety of games we played tested all our senses, from drawing images from an item we were only able to smell, and our team had to guess what it was without the drawer speaking (drawing charades), animal charades, tasting jelly beans in a dark room and listing their flavors from memory. We even had to locate 3D puzzle pieces in the dark and find where they fit on the wall. The games were incredibly engaging and had everyone fully immersed. The facility is clean and well organized. I highly recommend this activity for a unique and enjoyable experience and would love to see them bring something similar to Sacramento. Hopefully, they change up the games every few months for a fresh experience with each visit! read more

My kids had a lot of fun (ages 13,9, and 6) the activities for each sense are unique and never bored anyone. In fact, the hour went by really fast, but that's partly due to our host. Kesha was a terrific host who was able to relate to all of my kids despite their varying ages. She was very funny and helped everyone really engage with the game and made it that much more fun. I would definitely recommend this this experience to anyone looking for entertainment options in the area. I'd even go so far as to suggest you specifically request to be hosted by Kesha. EXCELLENT TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITY! Our non-profit group had 25 people do this for team building and it was the perfect fit! I don't want to give too much away about what the activities are, because the mystery of the challenges was the best part. Would totally go back with my family. This got people laughing, getting outside their comfort zone, and working together. The staff team was great to work with to coordinate the event and super friendly while hosting us. What a fun experience! We are puzzle room fans and are always looking for a fun family night out. This was by far more engaging for all our family than puzzle rooms. Caroline was our host and was enthusiastic and helpful throughout the event. I like that you can eat and drink during with your host serving you as needed. Each game allowed everyone to participate and we walked away hoping we can visit again. Had a lot of fun with my group of 6. A few classic games with a unique twist on each. Devin was our game- master and was great. She had to put up alot of immaturity but was astoundingly professional. Devin explained each game in detail. She offered and provided additional help when needed while keeping us moving along in a timely fashion. The facility is clean and seemingly very organized. We had such a fantastic time!! We did a party of 4 with Caroline, our host. She was fun and the entire experience was so unique. It's like a giant Pictionary or Charades game. The photo op right when you walk in is really cool!! My daughter LOVED it!! This would be a perfect Girls Night Out, Bachelorette Party. Super fun spot to bring friends and family for a fun night out. Expect to spend about 90 minutes to complete all the tasks. The manager mentioned that every 6 months or so they change up the challenges in the rooms. All of your senses do get tested but nothing that is uncomfortable. This place is still dirty and still chaotic. When we arrived at 10 am, it was ok. By noon, there were far too many people, and the chaos ensued, once again due to the lack of adequate staffing and/or young employees who don't enforce rules. I am also concerned about the upkeep and quality of the facility. Many areas were closed, and there was padding falling off things. I am very worried about safety being a second thought here. The birthday party experience was pretty good. They had a table set up for us before we arrived, and there was plenty of room for our group to spread out. It's about $120 to reserve a table, and then they charge you per jumper. You can bring your own food or have themprovide food for an extra cost. Being able to bring some nutritious snacks for our son's friends is a huge plus. Overall, the kids had an absolute blast, and for around $230 total for 2 hours of jump time and a dedicated party table, it was a decent value. I think my once-a-year-ish visit will still be the way to go, and maybe it's time to start thinking about visiting some other trampoline parks.

Admission is $19 for two hours and grip socks are $3.50, if needed. The play area is pretty spacious, ranging from trampolines with obstacles, climbing slides, obstacle course, a swing to jump off, a high beam to swing and jump from, a zip line, a high beam knock down, dodge ball and other areas. Kids are able to jump around and run with space or make new friends to follow for the night. Parents are able to sit in the play area, after signing a waiver, to be closer to their little one. There is plenty of seating throughout. There is also seating below in the food court area of Defy. During the two hours, I went off for a bit to shop while my husband stayed behind. There are plenty of shops to explore especially with all the sales following the holiday season. Since it is an outlet/mall, there is plenty of parking on site. If/when you do visit, park near Scheels close to where you can see H&M from the parking lot. If you enter at this location, go straight and make a left onto the path. Once you pass the fireplace, there is a set of stairs. GO UPSTAIRS. Defy is there. We circled until we asked, signage to locate this place is not great. If you do get hungry there are plenty of places to eat within the outlet and shopping area, both driving and walking - depending on what you fancy. There is also the food court inside Defy, offering ICEE, fountain drinks, nachos, pretzels, pizza slices, popcorn and more. The prices are reasonable considering it's an attraction. We did our waivers and purchased our tickets and socks online, from their website, before visiting. You can also purchase at the counter and complete the waiver at a kiosk or by scanning the QR at the register. We downloaded the ticket to our Apple wallet and presented it at the register.
