So excited they've opened. They are owned by the same amazing team that owns Chikin which was formerly in this location. They remodeled to give it a fresh light look. We were immediately treated when we walked in and one the servers was still there and remembered us. They have some already designed bowls to choose from or you can customize one. We all chose to customize. My boys each had the child's size one and it was a great portion size for them and a decent price as well. So happy to see they still have their great sauces and of course kimchi. Bowls were delicious. Great price for a great portion. Two of us had enough to take home for another meal. Great base choices and protein choices. My son was a little disappointed as he was obsessed with their plant based chicken (he is an 11 year old vegetarian) they had gojuchang sweet potatoes or tofu and he doesn't do spicy. But a huge fan of tofu either. But he still enjoyed his bowl. He was excited to try purple rice for the first time. His brother was all about the bulgogi beef and we all agreed it had incredible flavor. Every bite was a flavor burst. My mom did the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. We know we will be back soon. Great addition to the area.

Everything was fresh. Everything was good. The kimchi was amazing and so it was a bulgogi beef w/sweet potato noodles! Kids also approved!

I built my own bowl and Denny recommended the Bulgogi Beef as it's the most popular and it was great.

I was happy to see all the veggies with it too. It's so tasty. I was trying not to eat much rice, but the purple rice that becomes crunchy on the bottom was so irresistible. My husband ordered the beef bulgogi with the bowl and loved it too. We ordered the crab corn Rangoon and this was slightly different than the traditional and it was so good with the corn. This place was quite busy this time. The two servers took care of everyone as best and smoothly as they can. At times it took a while so just keep that in mind if you are in a time crunch. I do think it's worth it.

Then, I tried the bulgogi kimbap, pork belly kimbap, and shrimp crab kimbap. The wings were OK. Sauce was a nice combination of sweet and spicy. Tteokboki was right on point with the rice cakes cooked well with the right level of spicy. The bulgogi kimbap was good; pork belly kimbap was dry; and surprisingly, the shrimp crab kimbap was my favorite. There are two things that I think could be improved. First off, I think the food was pricey. For whatever reason, there was a sharp price markup for ordering to go. I'd suggest calling in your order. Second, there were six sides (banchans) that came with the order. Half of them were spoiled or moldy. I called back to let them know what happened. Overall, an OK place minus the price point and spoiled sides.

It can get a little loud because they get busy and everyone is having a great time. The space is very modern and stylized.

The beef ribs were mostly fat and still very tough to chew. The chicken was woody breast, making it dry and very difficult to eat. The rice was even worse. They replaced it three times. The first two batches were hard, and the third batch was actually undercooked. The service was by far the biggest disappointment. Even though ordering is done on an iPad, they still kept forgetting items. We had to remind the staff multiple times before the food finally arrived. Every dish took 10-15 minutes or longer to arrive, yet customers are expected to finish their meal within a 90-minute time limit. This is a Japanese BBQ restaurant where the staff is simply bringing out raw meat for customers to grill at the table. There is really no reason it should take 10-15 minutes to deliver each order. To make it even more frustrating, the restaurant wasn't even busy. During our entire meal, there were only two or three other tables occupied, so it's hard to understand why the service was so slow and disorganized. To make matters worse, an 18% service charge was automatically added to the bill. I don't mind paying a service charge for good service, but charging that much when the service is this slow and disappointing feels completely unjustified. Our bill was over $210 for three people, and that didn't even include any drinks. At that price, there are many better Japanese BBQ options available. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back, and I can't recommend this place.

I hadn't had hot pot in a while, so the idea behind KPot all you can eat hot pot and Korean BBq was enticing. I visited on a weekday in the early evening, so I was lucky not to have to wait for a seat. The restaurant is large and it was quite empty given it's proximity to Universal Studios. My waitress was delightful and answered all my questions. She was attentive but not overly in my space. We connected over a conversation about hiking, and I was generally pleased with the service. The hot pot itself was great. I went with a standard Sechuan spicy broth and ordered all my favorite accoutrement: two types of beef, enoki mushrooms, tofu skin, tofu puff, napa, bok choy, rice cake, and ramen noodle. My mixture of sesame oil, garlic, sesame seeds and scallions was prefect and evoked memories of hot pot from days of old. Honestly, it's rare to find and all you can eat hot pot place for such a good price $34.99 and a $5.00 happy hour mojito made this a surprisingly reasonable dinner. I would definitely come back to this location or others based on my experience here.
