We enjoyed the spicy chicken and pork bulgogi. The downside though is its one price 31.99 for all you can eat, and if you eat just one serving of chicken bulgogi its overpriced. They also dont have kid menu options that are not all you can eat. Our kiddos basically ated fried rice only, but if you have older kids that would try different proteins it would be worth it. We prefer some of the local korean restaurants but appreciated novelty and the experiential nature of the outing. The all you can eat concept doesn't work well for our family. read more

I absolutely love this restaurant. Almost every time I've had the same server. He's tall, dark hair, very polite, and I wish I was able to get his name. This time we had a different lady. She was honestly a little rude, and not as attentive as the other gentleman I've had the pleasure of being served by before. We came for my birthday and had a party of 7. She had trouble remembering drink orders and didn't help us determine which food was for who very well. None of that had really bothered me up until my boyfriend told her it was my birthday and she looked incredibly annoyed, said okay, made a daggery smile and walked away. This made me upset because we had all been very polite to her and patient with our service assuming she may have had other tables/responsibilities. Everything else went incredibly smooth other than the waitress we had last night. My lamb and ribeye tasted incredible, everyone had an amazing time cooking up their bbq, and the ambiance of the restaurant is incredible. We thought the vibes were so incredible and soothing. IF YOU BRING A LARGE PARTY, keep in mind there is an automatic gratuity added to your bill. Pros: The tables have buttons you press when you need service or refills and they have a larger than average meat menu. Cons: grills are small and they don't have Doenjang which is a traditional Korean sauce and is served at every other Korean BBq I've ever been too - including in Korea. Would have been a 5 if they had smaller portion sizes for two people vs 4. The portion sizes make it hard to try a bunch of things on the menu because the portion of each item you order is so large. The food is excellent and the concept is very fun! They allow you to take your time (2 hours) going through the meal which for us old folks is crucial! Yesterday was my grandson's birthday, and Seoul Korean BBQ was the choice. I have to say it is not my cup of tea. It is not that the food doesn't taste good (it does). It just isn't organized in a way I would like it. We make our orders, and all the food comes out. I wasn't good at working the cooking, so my son cooked the food. The part I didn't like was that I didn't know what was mine. The vegetables got cooked last (after I was full on the meat & rice). I do like that they have a robot to help the bartender. I met some family for dinner last night and we agreed to give this place a try. Located in Deerfield Township, near all the shopping, this place was easy to find with loads of parking. A m not sure what I expected but when I walked in I was surprised at the quality decor and fun vibe I got - cool bar and plenty of seating. I also saw some robots roaming with drinks that would be delivers to your table - an overall experience. The all you can eat menu was a bit overwhelming but the staff helped us through - basically it was $29.95 for the all you can eat BBQ and for $5 more you could include the hot pot as well. You choose every element from the broth to the meat and veggies - lots to choose from with vegetarian options as well. We all loved our food, the simplicity of cooking, and the conversation. Tried this newer place tonight and it is very interesting. Each table has a burner for the Korean BBQ as well as a cooktop for the hotpot on each side for multiple guests. You cook the food yourself which was kind of fun as well. The good quality is very good, the cuts of meat we tried were tasty and trimmed so they could cook quickly. The restaurant us will laid out and they have fun serving robots that drive around and deliver drinks and let you pour your used trays and plates on them. Very cool! The robots have faces and talk as well. For my tastes the food was quite salty which I'm not a huge fan of but everything comes out very very fast, even the endless appetizers are super quick. My boyfriend and I are visiting friends in Ohio this weekend and were excited to see they have an AYCE KBBQ place! They also have AYCE hot pot. It's $29.99/pp unless you choose to do both, and then it's $34.99/pp. I think they have cheaper lunch prices too. We had four of us and ordered quite an array of meats. It's more Americanized than others I've been to in my area in that there weren't really any banchan (side dishes) and instead of giving us one or two sauces, they invited us up to the sauce bar, where we can mix and match our own sauces. The sauce bar did have kimchi, some fruits, and a very tasty strawberry shortcake-tasting cake. Of everything we ordered my favorites were the beef bulgogi; the spicy pork belly, surprisingly (I can't do spice but it's not very spicy); and the zucchini. Each person in your party is allowed four items but that's PER round. There's also a $13.99/lb overage charge if you waste food aka don't finish it. You can also order side dishes and we got some edamame, gyoza, and veggie spring rolls; I believe they had a seaweed salad and a few other options too. We have had great Korean BBQ on the west coast and east coast, even in Korea. Based on our experience, the variety of foods available at Seoul Korean BBQ & Hotpot is quite limited. Further, the variety of meats available is also limited. It is typical for Korean BBQ restaurants to have a wide variety of side dishes (banchan) but Seoul only had some Kimchee (pickled cabbage). On the plus side, they have melon, gelatin-based dessert and an exceptional selection of fixings to make your own blend of sauces and dips for your meal. They were busy so their service was not prompt but the staff are friendly and helpful. It turns out it's been only a month since it opened. Decor of the place reminded me of Korean traditional house. For the food, basically it's all you can eat. Our waiter was quick and nice but either didn't see what we asked for or couldn't hear us because we got multiple things we didn't order and never got others. He was a gem otherwise so again it takes time to get your rhythm. The food was ok for the cost. I have no complaints, some of the meats were very tasty but others could be improved. My GF had a stomach ache after tho so make sure you cook your food to your level. First time guest...This place was yummy but the grill seemed small. I went with my two older daughters and we all had to be patient as one person was done cooking their meat to add another. However, having a hotpot option at your table as well is pretty sweet. I wish they had more side options but the few veggie sides are decent. Our favorite meat by far was the beef Bulgogi and the garlic shrimp was good too. The spicy baby octopus was okay. I was hoping for the octopus to taste better because I love grilled octopus but I think the spicy sauce killed it for me. We finally were able to try this place out. We decided to go for lunch and it wasn't busy at all. Upon walking in I loved the decor and it seemed very clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The quality of meat was good and the marinated meats had good flavor. You get to pick any 5 items on the menu and once you eat it all then you can ask for seconds. We chose spicy beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, mussels, pork belly, brisket, potato, zucchini, onion, lettuce and mushrooms. They give decent portions so we were full and did not need seconds. They also changed the grill top half way through us cooking which was nice since it gets charred and starts smoking. They have a buffet of all kinds of spices and sauces that you can bring back to your table. The buffet had kimchi and some fruit as well. You do have to ask for rice which I thought was odd considering rice is like a staple in our meals. Really the only negative was the size and number of grills. We had a party of 3 and it was ok but if you have more than that there really should be two or more grills depending on the party size. It would of been nice if the grills were larger too. We were there for about 1.5 hour so I can only imagine if it was busy and you were with a larger party trying to cook all that food. I would suggest not going with a larger party if you want to grill unless you wouldn't mind sitting at separate tables. We did not do the hot pot but the tables had multiple spots for the hot pots. It's not a place I would frequent because I really don't like cooking my own food when going out. I would rather relax but it was a fun dining experience. As someone who enjoys Korean barbecue both in Korea and in the US, Seoul is pretty decent. During my visit, I brought family who was fairly new to K-bbq and they felt that it was delicious but would be overwhelming if they went by themselves and didn't have someone guiding them through the experience. During our visit, we ordered both the barbecue and hot pot although afterwards I would recommend only doing one since it is a lot going on at the table. We ended up trying most of their meats and ended up loving the short rib the most for barbecue. This restaurant is a true all you can eat style of kbbq, and they bring out some solid size portions to order. The server was very attentive and I enjoyed that the table has a call button just like in typical restaurants in Korea. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was very clean, and I got a sense of authenticity and true Korean heritage when I walked in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A few things I wish they could add is serving kimchi and banchan at the table rather than the side buffet. I didn't even know there was a buffet until I asked our server for kimchi. As well, I think having dishes that have multiple wells for different sauces would be helpful. You basically pick the meats and veggies from the menu, they bring it out and you cook them on the grill. You pick sauces from the sauce bar. I wish they had more condiments aside from just kimchi. Our server was attentive constantly checking on us and changing our grill. They have a wide array of drinks and milk teas and now have a liquor license. Overall great spot and opens late. There is a great selection of meats and vegetables for the hot pot and the BBQ grill. We chose the Mushroom soup base and the Spicy Szechuan soup base Both were great starters the spicy could have been spicer. Once we added veggies and meats the broths became what we wanted. The sauce bar had a decent amount of product to make the sauce of your liking. They are short staffed and it does take a while for some things to come to the table. I think they need to add some of the popular meats to the sauce bar so you can pick up your own proteins and the can deliver the more expensive ones. But just my opinion. Overall great job for just opening best of luck. Hopefully the patrons trying to dine here give it a chance. I finally had an opportunity to try this place out. Granted it was for lunch which is a very fair price @ $20, I nearly spend that at Five Guys or Chipotle! All in all, I consider this a bargain, being it's All You Can Eat and of great quality! I opted for the BBQ, which you choose amongst the options and grill yourself to your liking at your table. They have some great tasty appetizers to choose from as well. There is also a "sauce bar" which you can use to enhance your experience. I glossed over the dinner menu and for $10 more then lunch you'll have access to a wider variety of options. If they are of the same quality as the lunch options it's a no brainer win! I did mention All You Can Eat right? The staff was very friendly and engaging. I asked a few questions and they were very candid in their answers. I WAS SOOO EXCITED FOR THIS PLACE TO OPEN!!! After reading the reviews I decided to try this place on a weekday for lunch, not a weekend for dinner . Now, the restaurant itself is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, I wish I took some pictures because I was left speeches when I first walked in. The tables are very well designed, spacious & I love that the grill is deep into the table so you don't get those painful meats popping away at your arm. To my surprise, THE SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING & OUR WAITRESS WAS KILLING IT! The portion size are smaller, which I think is great because it helps you not over order. The meat was definitely fresh, so were the vegetables. HOWEVER, the seasoning needs some improvement (hence the -2 stars). For example: kimchi was VERY BLAND - so were most of the "seasoned meats", the Thai Tom Yum tasted like nothing but chili spice - no Thai Tom Yum flavor whatsoever, bulgogi & the short ribs are normally on the sweeter side but theirs was very salty... like it was weird, I've definitely eaten enough bulgogi & short ribs to know how they should taste. Will I personally be back? Probably not, unless I'm certain they've updated the meat seasonings (which I really hope they do because it's a great concept & I really wanted to love this place ). The service is good and quick but the food taste and quality is low. We ordered the barbecue and tried a lot of things on the menu, absolutely nothing is seasoned. You get plain vegetables and plain meat.. The sauce table has a variety it's true but the sauces are basic and flavorless at best. In addition you can order wagyu steak as an extra which we did. As you can see in the photo below it's a slice of roast beef at best. Little marbling and again not seasoned. If you like plain, expensive food that you have to cook come here. We celebrated a family dinner here- 4 adults and one child. We jointly decided on the BBQ and no hot pot for the table. Our server told us each to choose two meats (beef/pork/chicken), one seafood, and two veggies per person. We didn't all have to choose the same items. When we returned from the sauce station, the raw food was at the table. Our server was not around. It took a lot of guessing to realize they had combined different people's choices onto the same plates, and we had to figure out who ordered what and which raw items it was. It was hard to tell several of the same beef choice apart, for instance. We started putting the chicken and some steak onto the grill, with veggies on the outside. It took forever to cook! Our server was nowhere to be found for help. We finally started getting some of the beef done, though the chicken strips were still raw, after over 20 minutes of cooking! A family member finally turned up the heat so our meat could cook. Finally our server came by and scolded us for turning up the heat. All of the different kinds of beef and pork provided were very fatty with little meat. It took us so long to get through the initial round of cooking that we greatly simplified and only asked for one kind of beef and one of chicken for the table on the second round. For the price, we have always had a much better experience and better quality food at another place that serves tabletop fondue or hotpot. We won't be back here and family member had a very disappointing birthday dinner experience. read more

The food here wasn't my favorite. The soup bases are not impressive. I had the Szechuan peppercorn base and the flavor was good but biting into a bunch of hard peppercorns was very unpleasant. Our server was attentive and we were able to get our order quickly. The sauce bar was ok but some of the bowl and utensils provided looked like they were not cleaned properly with old food stuck to them.
