The Korean cheesy corn elote quesadilla with bulgogi + a side of bulgogi taco. This place reminds me of Koja Kitchen in the South Bay, California but better. What caught my eye was their cheesy corn elote quesadilla!! Oh my this looked AMAZING!! I was drooling. I can see this place being popular for late night eats or after a night out of drinking. The Bulgogi was so yummy. They did not skimp out on the meat when assembling my taco. The elote quesadilla was slightly messy to eat but was oh soo delicious! Best of both worlds. Surprisingly good Korean-Mexican fusion food. It seems pretty simple, just put kimchi fried rice in a burrito wrap. But I can't think of another restaurant with this asian fusion. Stopped into Seoul Taco on the recommendation from a friend during a day trip to Chicago and so happy I did. Ordering is done from an ordering kiosk which makes it easy to look through options without having to bother a worker. The screens are very sensitive when scrolling which is a little irritating but nothing that cant be avoided if you are careful. I ordered the bulgogi steak tacos ($14 incl tax) and an horchata ($4). The food was done in about 5 minutes. The horchata was very sweet and smelled/tasted like a spiced vanilla candle - I personally was not a fan. The tacos however were fantastic. The steak was a tad chewy but had good flavor and the fillings were perfect for the tortilla size. Full but not overflowing where everything falls out when you try to eat it. I've been to a few Seoul Tacos, and this was the worst one yet. I went on a Sunday afternoon, and there was one young lady working at the front. I'm not sure if there was kitchen staff in the back. It was a completely empty restaurant, and I had brought friends to try the chain for the first time. The food was flavorless, as if there wasn't any seasoning on it. There was some sauce, but barely any, and my Gogi bowl was drier than the Sahara desert. My friend wouldn't even finish the tacos because of how bland it tasted. The food reminded me moreso of school lunch, where the food was technically edible, but no one was going to enjoy eating it. Maybe I just went on a bad day, and this location's food is normally good? I got the Spicy Pork Burrito: the pork was well-marinated and the rice was very flavorful. However, the ingredient ratio was super off: it was about 85% rice and stuffed unevenly. After already having eaten 3/4 of the burrito, I finally got to the majority of the meat and lettuce pieces, which were all crammed into one end of the burrito. You order via kiosk and the food comes out Panera Bread style. You bus your own table afterwards. I love a good egg on my rice bowls! Egg was a bit runny but not too much, just perfect! Wish you can order an extra egg on top. The chicken however was a bit hard and not very good. It was thinly cut into tiny strips and overcooked. I wasn't a fan of the kimchi either because it was really spicy and sour. It had a really strong smell to it as well. I know all kimchi smells but this particular was very strong. Did not finish the kimchi. Overall, I think this place was decent and you will get the most bang for your buck.
