I also ordered the Tofu Tacos with sesame seeds and Seoul sauce. Somehow, the combination didn't work for me. I think what they are doing is great though, I have never heard of any place that has Korean and Mexican food fusion. I also tried the Gogi bowl which was interesting. Seoul Taco is a quick place to grab a bite. We decided to give this place a try after some disappointing service at another place. The ordering method is through a kiosk. The portions are generous sizes and the quality of the food is pretty good. The Korean flavors were on point. The decorations of the restaurant is very cool. We absolutely ended up loving it. First, the good. The food was very tasty. We had the Gogi with Waffles (fries), a couple of tacos, and a couple of burritos. Everything was exactly as ordered and the flavors were great. They're working hard but we're busy and a little disorganized in the kitchen. At least 2 employees in the kitchen seemed to be training. Our online order was quoted at around 25 minutes. It was closer to 40. We missed ordering something and it came out in about 15. I know lots of restaurants are struggling with staffing. Hopefully the reallocation friction resolved soon. This place was fucking incredible. I did not know that Korean and Mexican was a thing but goddamn it works. The menu is so small, just try everything because everything is good, nay one of the best things I've had ever had in my life. Right by the Museum of Contemporary Art, we walked after a long day of looking at beautiful art and this place definitely soothed our hunger. It was ginormous, full of flavor, just the right amount of sauce, big pieces of juicy meat and egg and kimchi, and the spring greens were actually beautiful fresh greens, and not trashy iceberg lettuce. I only had the burrito, which I won't be getting again. It was 90% rice and very little bulgogi/veggies/sauce. I'd rather DoorDash real Korean food or just get Chipotle (or even Taco Bell to be honest) than pay $15 for that again. Cool ordering kiosks though. All the bad rating are getting buried, probably because the upset reviewers aren't taking the time to write paragraphs and upload a ton of pictures. So the good thing is that my experience at Seoul Taco is teaching me how to use Yelp better: sort based on date, or filter based on each review score instead of just using Yelp Sort. Thanks! To add, the sauce felt really heavy and inauthentic. I would not call the rice "kimchi fried rice" - there wasn't really kimchi in it. Service was pretty fast so that's a positive. Felt overpriced. Korean food is my soul food. And Mexican is always a fave. Korean/Mexican Fusion? WOW. I've had the Munchwrap which is basically the Taco Bell Crunchwrap, with a Korean twist. That's a lot of food and it's very filling. It was a little too much for me. But so delicious. It just caused a bit of a food coma lol. I've also had the Bulgogi Tacos, which is very tasty as well. They use the red leaf lettuce that is commonly used in Korean lettuce wraps. Just writing about it is making my mouth water. I want to try the burrito with the kimchi fried rice.
