Ok, long overdue. I discovered this place after a late night clubbing sesh and am so glad!! Since then, my group of friends and I have probably dined here at least two-three times a month. It's so good. Before I turned vegetarian, I would always get the amazing bulgogi tacos (mmm.). Then, after the turn, I started getting the tofu tacos (SAME MARINADE). AMAZING. In a city full of great eats, Seoul Taco fails to stand out. I ordered a taco flight and could barely distinguish between the different types of meat. Even so, I can't say the flavors were particularly amazing to entice me to come back. In terms of atmosphere, it felt super dark and foreboding on a late spring/summer day. Food is good but the customer service I had tonight was unacceptable. I ordered tacos and sweet potato fries. Tacos came out very quickly but they said the fries would take longer. No problem. Except that they then completely forgot about the fries. I was sitting there for 20 minutes after finishing my tacos. I asked if I could just get a rain check to get them some other time (because I had lost my appetite, and I no longer had time to sit and enjoy them because it was getting close to my last bus). YUM! we arrived around 12:15p on a Friday and the line was out the door. we were a little worried, but decided to stick it out- so glad we did! the line moved quickly and the guy at the register was friendly and cool, calm and collective amid the lunch rush chaos. there were quite a few tables opened and we were lucky enough to snag one big enough for our group of 7. food came out quickly. chicken taco- disclaimer- I cannot handle any spice whatsoever. so I felt these had a bit of a kick to them. steak taco- probably the greatest thing I've eaten in a while. wish I ordered three of these! kimchi fried rice- again, I am a baby when it comes to spicy food so this was a challenge, but it was amazing! queso dip- good queso, but nothing special. the vibe of this place is really fun. Cool little Korean/Mexican fusion place in River North. Went to Seoul Taco last Friday around 7:30 pm. It's your standard counter service joint with a bunch of really cool themed wall art. Food-wise I went with the steak burrito while my friend got the tofu bowl. Burrito was fine. A lot of rice, not a ton of meat but good flavor. Tofu bowl was an enormous amount of lettuce with fried rice and tofu on the bottom. I enjoyed the Korean-Mexican mashup in burrito form, but I left feeling like I would have rather just eaten a Chipotle steak burrito... Worth a trip though if you're in the mood! read more

Great place to grab a quick bite. It's not too expensive considering the neighborhood. You can get a good-sized burrito for $8 plus tax. That lasts two meals for me! I've only ever done carry out, but there are usually tables if you're planning to stay to eat. The kimchi fried rice is pleasantly spicy, but the addition of sour cream helps cut the bite a little. I've always found the counter service to be pretty fast. If you're planning to go during a busy time (lunch rush), you can order ahead on Caviar. My mom and I had done some intense wedding dress shopping and the hunger pangs sent us a signal that we had to eat, and luckily this spot was on the radar. I have been wanting to come here for a while because I alway feel like I don't get to eat Korean or Mexican enough and this is the perfect combination. We decided to try Seoul Taco. We passed by in a taxi earlier and we're a little confused by the name lol but our family of 5 decided that we wanted to try it because... well why not! Who doesn't like tacos right!? Worst experience ever, the two black girls here messed up my order, when I asked for a correction, they first played defensive by accusing me of falsely accusing her, which is ridiculous, I ordered the same dish eveytime I'm here for more than 10 times! Clearly she wasnt there when taking my order, then she gave me this shitty look and dumped the gogi bowel into the trash bin when I insisted on a fix. Then it was another 20 minutes until I finally got my order, apparently they purposely put my order behind all the other customers which is absurd, and in between the waiting time, I had to repeat my order 3 times until they finally got it! I can only say that this place is amazing. I visited St. Louis and went to that Seoul Taco--was immediately in love. Hearing that it was going to open in Chicago made me emotional honestly. I only ever get the chicken burritos because I'm obsessed with them, so I can't say much about the rest of their food. I guess I'll update this review once I get tired of the chicken burritos (right now, looks like that'll happen in 2056). As other reviewers mentioned, they do pack the burrito with rice to the point where it's a little overwhelming. But don't let that stop you! The rice is great too.
