Unfortunately, the wings steamed a bit while waiting and lost some of their crunch. Hotbokki - SPICY. Like, Buldak SHIN ramen spicy. But I didn't expect any less from them, honestly. Loved it. Burned my tongue loving it. Do I mildly regret not getting the Lemon Pepper to try the dry rub, though? Absolutely. Honey Butter - Probably my favorite of the two on flavor alone. An incredible savory-and-sweet combination. Basically, I just kept eating it without thinking--that's probably all I need to say about this one. Err... the butter was rich, and the honey was mellow. IDK, it's just honey butter, folks. Daikon - I wished it had a bit more crunch, but it wasn't bad. My favorite Korean chicken place has always been bb.q Chicken (I make sure my BFF goes there every time he visits), and I think this place compared well, especially considering they don't use peanut oil. Came at around 6pm on a Tuesday and there wasn't a line, but it seemed like they were working on to-go orders. Service was really helpful and friendly. There were a few small tables right next to the order counter, but since it's a food hall, you can find more seating around the building. The restroom for the building is also right next to Seoulside Wings, so that was convenient. Wings only took 10 mins to come out, which felt pretty fast. The wings have a good crunch/crisp. They're very moist, but the flavor is only on the exterior/skin. The meat under the skin is bland, but I guess that's what the ranch is for. The menu says they're brined for 8 hours, and they are moist, but I would expect the meat to be more flavorful after brining. I guess they just brine for moisture and not flavor. The menu also says they're "jumbo" wings, and I would say they were pretty regular-sized. K SAUCE: Sweet and savory. Really good! Really flavorful! GARLIC PARM: Could've used more garlic and parm flavor. It looked more flavorful than it was. Kinda tasted like a basic wing flavor, like what "original" would taste like lol HONEY BUTTER: Really noticeable butter flavor! More so than any other honey butter I've tried. It was really unique and unlike any honey butter wing I've ever had. Heavy on the butter, light on the honey. Kind of reminded me of popcorn because of the butter lol I think I liked it more, the more I ate it. HOTBOKKI: Really good flavor! But also really spicy! I definitely needed ranch to help me finish a wing. So did my bf, who has a higher spice tolerance than me. It was still really good with the ranch too though! My go to is the Bulgogi cupbab, which includes rice, and lettuce. You have the choice to add fried egg, and fried dumplings. Items I would encourage getting. All cupbab comes with kimchi, potato salad and korean spinach. I've been here twice and have gone with the SBulgogi dishes each time. They do offer a variety of Korean Fried Wings, I think 8 choices of wing types, and they come in 5-, 8- and 10-piece orders. My achilles heel are fries and have yet to try them out, maybe next time, but there is also an assortment from their Ride or Fry menu option of Kimchi Fries, Honey Chicken Fries, Seasoned Fries and their Honey Butter Fries. I tried the Soy Garlic and the Lemon Pepper flavors and while I usually love the former, I was more partial to the Lemon Pepper!! Super flavorful and very peppery! The dry rub is a perfect blend of savory, tangy, and lemony, and wings are an explosion of flavor, juiciness and tenderness. Located in the back right of the Conservatory food hall, this food truck-turned-brick and mortar spot has been mentioned as one of the best Korean fried chicken spots in Houston. After finally making it here, I would say it is a fair contender for the title! We took 20 wings to go and ordered half of them fried "hard". Unfortunately, I didn't notice much of a difference as the sauces still meant that they did not travel well. I would highly recommend that they (or you) poke holes in the boxes to release steam, as this helps maintain the crispiness of the chicken if you're travelling over 15 minutes. Alternatively, get sauce on the side. For the wings themselves: Lemon Pepper: Universally our favorite wing. It travels the best since there's no sauce and remained crispy after 30 minutes. The flavors really come through. Honey Butter: Second favorite wing. Very unique! Reminds me of the honey butter Chicken biscuit a little bit, and there's honey dripping off each piece. K-Sauce: My third favorite. It had a bit of a kick, almost like a gochujang flavor but not as intense. Soy Garlic: My friends' third favorite. I thought the flavors were a little muted here, but they were good. I think I'd rate these more highly if I had them when they were still crispier. Today, D was helping me understand certain items on the menu that I wasn't familiar with. D was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful! I appreciate his advice on what to get to satisfy my interests. It didn't take too long to get my food back either. The food looks and smells delicious. I got their 8 wings, 4 Honey Butter (my fave) and 4 K-sauce (D stated this is like the Korean BBQ sauce. The wings were hot (temperature) and crispy. I love the crunch and the taste, especially with the Honey Butter sauce. It's so unique to me. The fries were also hot (temperature) and crispy. The service here was amazing. The person who took our order was super friendly and had a great attitude. We got our food pretty quickly as well. The bad part was the wings were very heavily breaded for our tastes. We got half Parmesan garlic and half hot lemon pepper. The lemon pepper sauce was extremely overpowering and briny. To be totally transparent, every time I have tried one of the food vendors at the Conservatory Galleria, it's usually after a cocktail or two at the bar in the food hall. Everything hits after a few drinks but I think I can stand behind saying the wings here are some of my favorite in the city. From what I gather, they started off as a food truck and now have this spot. Like all the other vendors here, it's a small shop that you order at the counter and they will notify you when your food is done. Take it to go or find a seat anywhere in the food hall. The times I have been there, customer service has been great. I fancy myself a wing connoisseur so I hold all wings to a high standard. My favorite variety of wings though are Korean fried chicken wings. I had to try this spot. Not only do they serve wings, they also sell rice bowls, corn cheese, dumplings and a few different types of fries. Wings is in their name so that's what I got. I was a bit on the hungry side and their 5 piece wing combo didn't sound filling enough so I ordered a la carte. I went with 8 wings split into two flavors of K Sauce (sweet and tangy gochujang) and Soy Garlic (sweet and savory), and an order of their kimchi fries. Their wings are brined for 8 hours and then double fried. Expect a wait because of that extra step. Got my food and was happy with the size of the wings and portion of the fries. They use jumbo wings so they are quite filling. A 5 piece combo might have been just fine. The wings were cooked to perfection. I don't know how they maintain it's juiciness especially after being fried twice. You can tell they brine their wings as well because there's flavor permeating throughout. I liked both flavors I got and would get them again, but I was missing some heat. The kimchi fries were also very good. The fries were crispy even with all the toppings. They were topped with cheese, caramelized kimchi, onions, spicy mayo and cilantro. All the components of the dish worked well together. I liked the crunch of the kimchi and the fresh bites of raw onions and cilantro. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here and will be coming back for sure. My only gripe here is how expensive it is. I'm so excited to have a KFC place near me that's also delicious. Its inside of the conservatory food hall and there is a ton of free parking in the front and in the garage in the back. I like to update reviews because places change and quality changes but not this place. Their wings are consistently amazing. They are perfectly fried and jumbo Korean wings. The sauces and the rubs flavor the chicken well. Each 5 piece combo comes with rice or fries and then you can pick between ranch or pickled radish. Luckily there was two of us so we got one of everything. My husband got the garlic parmesan wings and I got the soy garlic which were my first loves and my always. We got our three year old the fried vegetable dumplings which he liked. The other key here is to get a side of the honey butter sauce so you can either dip or pour over your fries. We opted for dipping because it can literally get sticky and after a few mishaps of drips on our clothes over the years, we've figured out the best way to do it. I placed my order online and in no time, my order was ready. Everything was made fresh to order and the food was hot!! The wings aren't your typical wings more so breaded, unique, but I think it worked very well. I really enjoyed the salad as well, however, those that are sensitive to spice beware. The sides (Korean spinach, potato salad, pickled relish) were okay. I think it may be an acquired taste , but all in all , I think it was worth a try. Next time, I may just stick to French fries. It was fried well and season with a standard soy garlic sauce, not spicy and was kid-friendly. The staff taking orders is friendly and answered our questions since we were out-of-towners visiting Houston. The process is a little high for Texas but you are receiving quality food. The honey chicken fries, nice crispy fries that come topped with diced chicken, honey butter sauce & furikake. The sauce was a bit sweet but overall it tasted pretty good. The portion is definitely a shareable size. We also tried boneless wings, a split between the Soy Garlic & K sauce. My favorite was definitely soy garlic, the chicken was nice and crispy, along with a beautiful garlic & soy sauce combo. K sauce is a bit on the sweet side, it had a nice gochujang flavor. Saving the best for last, the bone in wings. Split between Hotbokki & Lemon pepper. Let me just say babyyyyy I would come here just for the chicken wings. The size of the wings were jumbo, not to mention how fresh they were with a nice crispy exterior. Lemon pepper wasn't too lemony, it was literally the perfect balance of seasoning. The Hotbokki is definitely for those that like spicy wings, definitely the type of spice that burns but you can't stop eating lol. I recommend getting their ranch on the side, it's delicious. I've only come here once and just got the wings but I definitely had a 5/5 experience and need to come back again! We were initially unsure about which flavors to get but they allowed us to try some of the flavors and feel more confident in what we were going to choose. We ended up choosing the soy garlic (classic) and k-sauce. The hotbokki flavor was also solid but a bit spicier than what we wanted.
