I'm not the type to make reviews, but I am so consistently disappointed by this Sephora location that I feel it's warranted. Without fail, every time I go into this Sephora (which I do frequently, because it's a 10 minute drive from where I live), I somehow end up leaving disappointed. No one ever seems to want to help me, and I feel like such a bother to anyone I'm asking for help. On the occasions where a product I wanted was out of stock, only once did someone offer to order it online for me. I'm aware it's an option, but at the point where the associate "helping" me looks like they'd rather be doing literally anything else, I'd prefer to just order online myself because I get free shipping anyways with Rouge. I know that there's tons of things that can give a location a false "in stock" status for a product, it's frustrating when an associate can't be bothered to check under stock or back stock, even if it's just for show. I'm sure it's annoying to have customers ask for things you're pretty sure you don't have, but that was another situation where I would've been more than happy to order it online from the store but was never given the option. Even though I don't shop there anymore, I've noticed employees in places other than their store being rude still in their uniforms, which reminds me all over again why I've been going to other stores. Despite the fact that it takes me 20 extra minutes to get to the Boulder location, I've started driving up there. The associates there are always so happy to help, and give me the best suggestions, from Sephora collection to high-end. I know in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter whether a single location loses out on the business of one shopper, but I just wanted to express that I've been really disappointed in the service I've received here, and dote on the Boulder girls and guys a bit for always being so sweet. Christine in the facial beauty care section is the rudest person of all time. I've complained to a manager about her service! I refuse to go to this store and I will purposefully go to any other store other than this one. I would rather eat glass or walk on glass than walk into this store. I am HIGHLY allergic to many different products and I needed to try several out to find out which worked best with my skin. Christine thought I was just coming in getting samples for fun. Blatantly told me so and that this wasn't a place for a free for all. I grabbed a manager and immediately complained on her. I have Celiac's Disease and anyone with half a brain (which clearly she doesn't have one) would've known there's several products that I can't use due to the ingredients. I went to another store and their service was by far superior to this store. The service here is absolutely horrid and they won't be nice to you and help you for anything. They'd rather be rude to you than be helpful. Find another store. You're better off. read more

I went to ulta and the girls there were so rude I wasn't going to give them my money so I decided to go to Sephora and it was 10 mins till closing for a gift and the cashier jasmine was so nice I never write reviews but this time she absolutely deserved some recognition. read more

So customer service...How much is too much before getting to the point your annoyed and harassed?? lol Would anyone else be annoyed after the idk 6th time of "Hi, are you still finding everything ok?" by the same person or MAYBE one other person...well I did. And because my friend and I said "Yes, thank you but AGAIN no thank you. If we need help we will be sure to go find you" We get the let's see supervisor or manager on shift carrying a clipboard around and says well there are "ALOT of US and LESS of you" to go around and ask customers if they need anything so hmmm ok well again "THANKS but NO THANKS" - shortly after did I notice we started to be followed and watched lol WOW let me tell you how that just makes someone feel in a store you chose to spend a good chunk of money in. . SMH Please you work at a make up store and you should be able to read customers if you are practicing exceptional customer service. . not at a place where the CIA holds routine meetings lol Do I love the store why YES! but the people who work there meh! lol read more

Terrible staff and management. I'm sure they have a problem with theft as most Sephora's do... but train your staff to be customer service oriented and not just speak to your customers only when they touch product as you stand on the side. read more

I bought my husband some Gucci cologne as a gift and it smelled a lot like chemicals so I had to return it. Ran into a lady named Emily. She asked me if I needed help and I told her what I was looking for- a light, refreshing cologne that's not over bearing. She really impressed me with her knowledge and I told her she really knows her scents. She informed me that she was a fragrance expert for Sephora. She let me take a quiz to see what suited my husband best and stick with me the whole time while I sniffed and sniffed. Then she led me to the most amazing scent ever. I would've never ever picked up the bottle and smelled it if she didn't guide me in that direction. She put all the scents I like in sample bottles and labeled them. Now thanks to Emily, my hubby has a new signature scent, Moss by Commodity. Sephora has such a huge selection of beauty and personal care products, the staff is well trained. Every time I walk in there I'm like a kid in a candy store. They give you beauty insider rewards that you can build up after purchasing a certain amount. I'm almost to Rogue Status which means you spend 1k in a year. Kinda bad to know I drop that kind of money but I can redeem my beauty insider points for lots of great products that change each month. For the past 2 visits (most recently today) with my wife here, its been an bad experience or lack service! Every time she walks around, NO ONE has come up to her to assist her. Usually when I've gone by myself someone has greeted me upon entering but both times she's has gone in (even a company by myself) no one has greeted her. read more

I use to love shopping at Sephora until I had a bad experience and I stopped going there. I had scheduled a make up session with a purchase of 50$. I go to my appointment and the guy who did my make up was taking a long time to do my face. It's supposed to be an hour appointment and we were passed the hour and had a place to be after. So I buy perfume and a hair straightener for 180$ and I choose two things from what he used and some we were running late I was rushed into buying a palette and a concealer for 70$. After I left I noticed that the make up was so plain and most of it came down my face after an hour. I go to a different location where I live and asked if I can return or even exchange the palette and concealer and she said she couldn't because they were on the same receipt as my make up session. I told her that I did spend 180$ and she said she will have a manager call me. So a manager calls me to tell me how they can't do it. Every since then I never go back to any sephora locations. I spent about 300$ that one day and was rushed into buying two items that were definitely not my skin fit. Now I got to mac at Macy's way much better read more

What ever happened to Customer Service? I have shopped Sephora for years with no issues. However, I tried to return a product that was purchased while on a trip out of the state and the manager refused to accept my return because I didn't have a receipt with me. As a VIP member with Sephora, all my purchases are recorded including where I purchased it and how much I paid. That is not good enough, you must have the original receipt. This was a $65 item and what I needed was the $87.50 item which the don't carry in the store any longer. So I tried on-line to do an exchange for the higher priced item that they do carry on-line. Sorry but we can not accept items for exchange that were not purchased on-line. It is up to the store manager to give you a in-store credit when you can not produce an original receipt and each manager is different with their in-store policies. Needless to say an in-store credit can not be used to purchase the item I need that is available on-line. AGAIN I ASK, WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE! They made me feel like I was trying to steal from them. I think my business will go where they appreciate my business. read more

I will note that the store didn't do anything wrong as a whole. BUT, I strolled in earlier today just looking around then one of the girls working there came up to me and asked if I needed help or had questions, I said "Oh no, I'm doing fine, thank you." I smiled and nodded. She still pushed on after I said I was fine. "Well let me know if you have any questions about like, hair care or anything that's defrizzing or moisturizing, okay?" she said and I nodded politely. I was confused as to why she suggested such a specific thing, and of course, she had noticed my wavy/curly (and just unruly) hair, I then realized that I had just gotten subtly shaded by a worker whose intent was to sell me product. NOT a good tactic, I felt weird and I just darted out of the store. Maybe I'm off the mark about what she meant, but I worked at a Sephora years ago and let me tell you, they are hell-bent on selling (but also helping to their credit)... but normally I can tell if an employee just says something awkward by accident... this was a selling tactic! They make you feel bad about yourself, so you will buy things! I like my crazy hair anyway, so shame on her for taking a sneaky jab at someone wearing their natural hair texture. Don't know if I'm overreacting, but it was kind of shady. I like Sephora a lot, but if you go in there looking less than polished, they will SELL to you. read more
