If you aren't dressed in the latest Prada or have a black card, most sales associates won't give you a second glance. Sorry that my yoga pants are so disturbing to you. This review is way overdue but I must say, this location is always on top of their game no matter when I visit. From the "Hello, beautiful" greeting upon walking in to the "Bye, gorgeous" upon leaving and everything in between. This location really makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. The staff is always there to make sure you are being helped and if you do need assistance they are always genuinely happy to help and provide excellence knowledge of their products. In addition to that, I was a dummy and didn't finalize a makeup reservation I made online for a couple Sunday's ago. When I called the location (day of) frantic, multiple people tried helping instead of just saying, "Well sorry, not our problem!". Cue in Jasson who saved the day by saying he would fit me in. He was even suppose to be done for the day but nope, he graciously decided to stay and help me out and ultimately saving my night. He provided top notch service and listened to all the things I requested as far as my makeup. It came out better than I could have even imagined. This location was the same as most Sephora locations. I was approached several times and offered assistance which is nice. One of the make-up artists also took the time to show me a few items that were 50% off. Who doesn't like a good deal, right?! The cashier did a good job at re-enforcing my purchases and suggesting other items without being pushy. My only complaint is that he didn't ask me if I had a Sephora card until after he had rung up my purchase. If I wanted him to credit my purchase to my point card, he had to void the transaction. This is one of the largest Sephora's I've ever been too in the area. They have a huge selection of Make Up Forever (great pigments and colors), they will validate your parking in the garage, it's very bright and nicely coordinated.The staff is pretty helpful. read more

This store has very poor customer service. If you are looking for advice or recommendations, definitely do not go to this one. I walked in, there were several girls working in front, none of them greeted me or even looked at me. I continued through the entire store without even being asked once if I needed help. I had several items in my hands and was obviously trying out all of the foundations, looking for the right fit. One employee pushed me out of the way not just once, but twice! The first time, she obviously saw me trying on this one foundation to see if it went with my complexion. She had a group of girls with her and came over and shoved me out of the way in order to get the foundation I was trying! She didn't even ask me if I needed help or say excuse me, nothing. The second time I was looking at eyeshadow pallets, it wasn't as aggressive but she once again pushed her way in front of me. I ended up buying several items, but only because it's a purchase I was putting off and finally was ready to buy. They really need to get their customer service in order, especially being in a high tourist area that is full of people. How can you work with the general public and be so incredibly rude? Also, might I add since I was invisible to the employees I bet I could have walked out with the entire store in my purse! I've read how some people got watched in the store. My experience was the opposite, it's like I didn't even exist in the store. I've never had an experience this bad before. I LOVE this Sephora and I've been to many! I ended up here during their annual store wide sale and I must say the staff here are some of the friendliest I have encountered. They are all super nice, warm and willing to help. This store is also huge! As I was shopping I was approached by several associates asking if I needed help with anything. I did and was matched for a foundation I had been eyeing. I was offered an opportunity to take a free class on the application of that product which I also did and at the end they gave me a few sample products to take home. I also was offered a free hydrating facial because I had spent over $75! The facial was a nice little relaxing perk and apparently, PRO-TIP, according to the esthetician you can take part in this anytime you spend over $75 up to once a month! I felt so pampered an appreciated when I left this store. Definitely my Sephora of choice and I will be back! read more

The only reason why I ever come here is if I'm in the area and I really need something from here. I've visited the store multiple times, and EVERY time I have the worst customer service. The ladies have never asked me if I need any help or if I'm looking for something in particular and I'll be browsing for about 10 minutes. I don't understand how these people have jobs...the only nice employees have been the men. The women working here are also older and don't wear nice makeup or have nice hair, which I thought was a requirement if you work at any make-up store or counter. I like this place because it's only a couple of blocks away from my job. Sometimes during my lunch break I like to visit Sephora and try new foundations. My skin is very very sensitive and that is why I preferred to try their make up first for a day and then if I don't break out then I would considered buying it. Sales people are okay. There are times when they are very busy (with tourist). If I didn't work in the area of Hollywood I don't think I would visit this Sephora. Why? Because it's very very hard to find parking. I cannot believe how AMAZING Sinem is! She is such a gem. I reserved a Personal Consultation makeup appointment. Best decision I've made in a while! Not only are hers skills and technique on point, she is also thoroughly knowledgeable about all of the products I asked her about! I learned so much and was blown away by her willingness to teach and her incredible ability to connect while doing so. And she's **absolutely** hilarious- SOMEONE GIVE THIS WOMAN A RAISE, STAT! All of the products I purchased, that she recommended are so great and I couldn't believe how many compliments I received; I felt SO pretty! Major shout out and love to this woman. This is a pretty big Sephora! There is a lot of space so you don't have to worry about bumping into people while testing out products. All the sales associates that I came across were very nice and helpful. I went in today to the Hollywood location just to kill time and look at fragrances and I met a wonderful lady there by the name of Pari she's not someone that works there at the Sephora she travels for all Sephora she was so knowledgeable she also let me know she had worked for Chanel for like 17 years and she was going to be working at Coachella such a pleasure to talk to she introduced me to different fragrances and really told me their story about each one and even though I didn't buy one today I will be coming back to purchase a few of the ones that she recommended I took pictures of them so I won't forget I let her know that I do shop at Sephora and there are two Associates that introduced me to products often and because of their recommendations I have bought their perfumes. I've been shopping at Sephora for as long as I can remember (a foundation every month along with lipstick mascara liner Etc). I usually to have a good experience however today was one of the worst I've ever had with customer service. I recently heard about your Estee Lauder foundation and knew I wanted it, so I went last week and purchase a bottle( I had to go to two different stores just to find it but felt it was worth it). However the shade the gentleman picked for me was too dark. Earlier today I returned to the store ( Hollywood and Highland )to exchange it for a lighter shade with my original receipt however two employees would not let me. I did spill oil on it so the bottom of the receipt wasn't completely clear but you can see all other information except the barcode. Instead of assisting me with my right shade I was looked upon as if I stole the bottle and they said all they can give me was a gift card and I was promptly kicked out of the establishment. They also refused to give me back my original receipt when I requested it even though they said they couldn't use it. read more

I was a bit leery after reading the negative reviews bit the day I went an employee greeted new with a smile and directed me to the counter. There I returned a balm I had a problem with and the girl was super nice. Then I browsed around for a foundation and concealer (the sales girl from before was very helpful with this). I wasn't approached by any associates like I would be in the jc penny's sephora (in a friendly helpful way, not a bothersome way) but I was fine. I felt like if I needed help I could ask and they would be helpful. Nice store with good customer service and great selection. Just wish they had an Estee lauder section. read more

I went into this store because I wanted to get some sort of powder or gel for my eyebrows and I didn't know what worked better so I asked & I was directed to a lovely makeup artist her name was Emily, she helped me choose what color I should get for the shade of my brows then she did one of my eyebrows and explained step by step how to do it then asked me to do the other side & I did good!
