For my Scent & Sip, I tried Gentle Shower. They hand you a card sprayed with the scent, you smell it, then sip the drink. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even if my alcohol-fueled brain really wanted alcohol. Super dope layout: cute historic elevator up to the rooftop, outdoor seating with sun shades, then the fragrance room and drink bar. Word of caution -- no A/C, so if it's hot outside, it's hot in that room. I'll be back for a personal scent appointment (they don't do those on weekends) and the travel-size scents. Buy 3 and you get a nice travel pouch.

My only complaint is that the company isn't very competitive with the online market which can make it difficult to buy from them despite the advantage of being able to test. I can understand why but as the consumer, I think this is something to be considered.

There is so much here that you could spend a few weekends sniffing gorgeous perfumes and being educated at the same time!

People were almost dancing, the atmosphere was so festive, appropriate for the Studio 54 concept.

Los Angeles has the only brick and mortar store in North America. The French brand launched 2013 on Rue Saint-Honore in Paris. Their trademarked Osmologue technology allows personalization of most of the collection. My friend created a custom blend she was thrilled with! Vicky even showed me how to get a bigger discount and asked me if I wanted bottled water. I took two. With all the booths in front of the stores in that area it's hard to find but I did. Parking is a scam...they wave $3 or $5 signs and point you to building parking and then when you get there it's $20! She said the $3-$5 was weekdays. But I felt safer there so I paid the $20. Honestly, I went there not because they have the best price, it's merely because I don't have the patience for shipping. Nonetheless, if you are looking for authentic fragrances you can go on Jomashop, or Fragrance net, Maxaroma or Scents Angels. Needless to say I will not be going back!

I have already filed a complaint with the corporate office. I was in the Sephora store off Hollywood and Highland in Hollywood, Ca this morning at 11:30am shopping with my gift card for my birthday. I love Sephora and always ask for Sephora gift cards for my birthday, I also spend about $3,000/yr on Sephora products and have been a VIB for numerous years. I was also at this same store last week for my birthday purchasing $160 worth of makeup, then back again this week for another $120 worth. Needless to say I am a great customer to this company, at least I was. I have NEVER been talked down to by an employee so bad in my life! And what I endured today left a HORRIBLE taste in my mouth about this company! I was simply returning a makeup bag then purchasing more makeup. So first the return, the man helping me didn't realize it was now on sale for a third of the cost so he was trying to only give me back $11.99 rather than the $32.00 I spent on it. Next, he never gave me the money or credit on a gift card for the return, just simply tried to move on to charging me for the new purchase. I caught his error and he asked the RUDEST woman I've ever encountered, Brittney, to help him figure out how to do it correctly. Brittney did not catch that it was on sale either and tried to only give me $11.99 back, I pointed out the error again and she rudely said, "Well if you would wait a minute I'll get it!" I didn't say anything because I was so shocked, so I decided to let it go and move on to the next issue. The previous week I saw the flyer that said "Redeem 1000 points for 20% off your next purchase" When I asked the employee if I could use it last week she said I'd have to wait until my following purchase. So ok. I get the flyer and bring it back today where Brittney told me, "NOPE can't use that you'll have to use that on your next purchase." I informed here that I was told that last time and this would be my "next" purchase. She told me I should have received a card last time and I told her I did not and would not have way of knowing that. She then told me that "Next time I need to know to get a card" I was put off by this because anyone with any level of customer service skills would know to apologize for the mistake and make sure I get the 20% off this time. But Brittney was a true gem, she proceeded to tell me she's making a special "accommodation" for me and I should say thank you to her AND that she "didn't appreciate my attitude!" MY attitude?!?!? I was floored to say the least! I told her I was offended at her lack of customer service and her attitude and did not appreciate being talked down to like that, especially since I've spend so much with Sephora and have been such a loyal customer throughout the years. While I was speaking the man who was initially helping me interjected by saying the transaction was "done" and "over"! The most shocking part of all was when I asked to get my parking validated after witnessing the woman before me getting hers done, Brittney informed me the validation machine was "not in service anymore!" She then actually gave me my receipt, circled the link to this survey at the bottom, wrote her name on it with a smiley face, and asked me to give her a good review! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I received another gift card from my father for my birthday for another $250, but after this experience I think Ill start using MAC products, this was just a horrific experience that left me literally shaking as I left, not the way I intended spending my birthday!!! For some reason within the last six months the staff here has either quit or been fired. My make-up guru Jessica is no longer there and I am heartbroken! I decided to give another staff member a chance and got my make-up done for a wedding...holy disaster! Trust me when I say I'm not a picky person but this session was just ridic. My friend and I were already in a time crunch to make it in time for the event and I just don't know how it all went so wrong. Apparently, they were really understaffed that day and my apppointment ended up starting late. I showed the artist 2 very similar pictures of what I wanted. I was looking for a smokey golden/brown look on my eyes to compliment the gold dress I was wearing. She didn't want me peeking at the make-up until she was done (which sometimes I can understand because people can get way too picky before the makeup is all blended together). But how did I end up with blue eyeshadow all the way up to my eyebrows? The session took about an hour and a half (crazy) and I ended up looking like the complete opposite of what I wished for. Disaster. Because of the time crunch I ended up frantically driving home and wiping down the blue eyeshadow off as much as I could. Let's just say my night did not go as smoothly as I wanted. According to my friend, this artist and the one who did her make-up no longer work there. I'm not sure what's going on at this store but they're definitely having issues with staffing. It just hasn't been the same. I continue to shop at Sephora because they have all of my favorite products. read more

Please be aware of Ticiana and most of the rest of the sales associates here at this location. I was with my friend from Russia and she was denied an even or higher exchange at this location that ironically enough, is full of tourists who don't carry around their passports. Returns here are impossible if you are a tourist or a on Visa or waiting for adjustment of immigration status for that matter. Forget about being treated equally and pleasantly. Shame on this corporation for training and instructing their employees to discriminate against who has an expired or stolen or not ready in the wallet passport and don't have a license issued by the DMV because you are not from the US. A system to "detect fraudulent returns" for items that are unused, unopened, still sealed in their original packaging that could back to the shelf in two seconds. Seriously? Instruct your employees to issue an electronic receipt via email that doesn't get damaged if water spills on it and that doesn't get lost. Or, stop discriminating against non US Citizens. read more

Like a playground for women! Huge selection, testers of everything. The good: you can shop and be left alone for the most part as you play. Sales associated will come up to you, but they will not hard sell you or offer advice if not asked for. The bad: hygiene. This isn't something sephora can really control, but I routinely see people using lip gloss brushes and lipstick directly on their mouths, so even if you q-tip it, you're still using contaminated lip makeup. Gross. The team at Sephora ranges a lot in terms of their knowledge. Some know very little about makeup and skin care, and some are really informed. Take it all with a graijn of salt though, and really check out product reviews. I consult my esthetician before buying their stuff and she always steers me right! read more

I LOVE SEPHORA - I don't know what I enjoy more, the selection, the price or the friendly staff. I don't know a lot about makeup and every visit I learn more! My skin has a weird color in the light (don't laugh) but certain shades of foundation tend to make me look washed out. Last weekend I sat while a nice salesperson helped me try different shades and explained to me the process of properly matching my look with my make up. I have to say I am a little addicted, I spent a little more than I planed last weekend - but I'm worth it!! read more

It's hard finding the right foundation brand, product, and color. So, I'm not a fan when brands try to reinvent themselves and drop perfectly good products in the process. Makeup Forever did just that and completely dropped BOTH of the foundation colors I used. Thankfully, this staff helped me find 2 new color combos from MF's "New" line. This is definitely one of the better Sephora's in the area. It's huge, and they carry most of the brands (some stores will randomly leave out a brand. Like, why?) and the staff is really sweet. The only downside is that it's located in Hollywood and Highland so it's swarmed with tourists. read more

She wanted me to apply for an Ulta credit card. That was the scheme. The whole thing felt scammy and gross. I ended up spending more than I expected, and I left feeling deliberately misled. I don't know if Ulta encourages this or if it was just this salesperson, but I have no desire to come back.

When I asked what the "$100 minimum" meant, the associate couldn't articulate whether that meant I needed to spend $100 or bring in $100 worth of product. He also couldn't tell me the maximum amount I could swap or provide any real information at all. Instead of solutions, I got excuses about being understaffed and why I had been left on hold so long. As a licensed professional trying to make purchasing decisions for my business, this was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this experience really discouraged me from wanting to shop at this location and honestly makes me hesitant about Cosmoprof in general.

We sought refuge at Nordstrom and we were instantly greeted with good central air and the nicest of people. I also wanted to spritz some of my favorite perfume and met the nicest sales associate Lisa. She was so friendly, helped me get my parking validated and I ended up buying a little item and donating money for the shoes event. She even made me a number of perfume samples that I would like, since she knew which perfume I favored most. Everyone also gathered around to say hi to our dog Kodi, he was a fan fave. I was lucky enough to have a friend who is a hair stylist with a license come in with me and help me with my purchases. If you go in here and you can't show a license, or proof that you are a cosmetology student, the staff is most likely not going to let you buy anything. Must admit I got a great deal on a mini Wahl hair trimmer; Wahl makes great quality trimmers and my friend recommended it. Service was cold but efficient and I did get answers to questions about products after a couple minutes, since there was only one person working there when I went in. Very convenient free parking right in front (if it's full, just take the ramp down as there's more parking) at this mini mall.

We came in to pick up a few things but also for their facials. Though they were busy they both took the time to answer all of our product questions and give us three facials. They were sweet and very knowledgeable on all of their products. I highly recommend this location, there's tons to do and eat before or after you shop.
