The customer service here is so inconsistent. Come one day, it's great but you may get all the wrong information LOL. Come another, and you dealing with those that lack logic, the ability to problem solve or just be helpful. Other times it's just great and others it's just terrible. Good location but this location makes me want to go to Ulta or any other competitor. I mean it's not like Ulta, Blue Mercury or the brands themselves don't do promotions. Also, the service at Stoneridge is wayyyyyyy better. This store has some work to do. So disappointing. read more

Literally the nicest Sephora I've ever been in. I usually dread going to Sephora (usually at Stoneridge) because they're always out of things or all of the testers look like they've been through some world wars. This Sephora was spotless, everyone was so nice and helpful, and I ended up spending over an hour in there getting myself new makeup for my birthday. Out of all the Sephora's that I've ever been to, i got THE best service here! Not only were both of the girls that helped me knowledgeable but they also acknowledged my crazy three-nager who was on the verge of a breakdown from being in there a little too long since mommy couldn't decide what to get. I'm super bummed because I have really liked all the people in this store. However, I was in last night and I asked a man working there what some good pregnancy safe products are and he pointed me to the Josie Maran products and said ALL of their products are safe. I said even the retinol and he said "yes!" Now maybe I'm not aware of what pro retinol is but everything I've read is to stop using retinol. Also, I find it weird that that is the only safe line available? I will revise my review if I am wrong. I just wish he was more helpful. read more

Finally finally hit Sephora after months and I always like to go restock after my birthday cause the gifts! Out of all the spots at city center of course Sephora had a line, I appreciated them practicing social distancing guidelines and rules, there was only two sales associates, so that meant only four people allowed in. I wish I got the name of the associate who managed the line, she was so friendly and informative, answering a lot of my questions when I asked for opinion and suggestions on certain products. There was a chance we might not get in before closing but they'd be happy to ring us up for anything we knew we needed. Luckily we got in and Jasmine made it a really great experience returning to somewhat normalcy during this pandemic. We wanted to be mindful of other customers waiting in line so that meant less browsing but that's why Jasmine was so so helpful, giving tips and advice, asking questions to get a feel for what we would like. I knew I needed to refill on some cc cream, but needed help finding the best brand and shade for a compact and Jasmine was so helpful and efficient with that...not to mention all the good energy and assurance she provided (not that I doubted what was recommended, she was just that good that I immediately trusted her tips). It had been almost a month since my birthday and Jasmine was instant in asking what I wanted for my bday gift and it was cool to know when she share Sephora is extending times to provide bday gifts to their customers due to the pandemic. She made me aware of the discount for health care workers, she just overall made that experience really easy to adapt to. Jasmine and her colleague never made us feel rushed, Jasmine was so helpful that it felt like we got enough time to browse but also got out of there pretty quick for other customers to have an opportunity like we did. read more

I went online to try and resolve the credit via online chat, however they can't help with in-store purchases. I guess it is my fault for not paying attention to the charges prior to signing. This review is mainly for the wonderful young lady who helped me on Halloween. This Sephora location is a DREAM. Not only is everything so clean and organized, but the ladies working here are the loveliest! I came in on a last-minute rush to buy a primer for an upcoming trip. The store was about 20 minutes from closing and instead of rushing me, multiple associates asked if I needed help. One of the associates gave me tips on primers and setting powders and happily provided me with multiple samples. Another associate even stayed a couple of minutes past closing to help me pick out a color corrector. I had a recent experience at a different Sephora where I received such sour, patronizing customer service that I walked out and refused to purchase anything there even though I originally intended to. This experience was quite the opposite, leaving me to walk out with more purchases than I needed and such a wonderful customer experience. I wish I had gotten the names of these ladies who helped me because they were stars! I'm going to go out of my way to come to this Sephora from now on because shoot, if I'm gonna spend money on out-of-budget, indulgent beauty and skincare products, I may as well do it at a location that will make me feel like a cared-for queen while doing it. read more

I will give a 3 star only because I have had good service in the past in this store. The store was empty so I went to the counter to ask if someone could help me with matching my color tone to a new foundation. I had three workers staring at each other and they decided which one should help me. I figured she had been trained since they chose her. She looked like she was in high school and gave me the worst service I have ever received. She showed me obscure brands which I had never heard of after I said I wanted to replace my Laura Mercier since they had reformulated the product. The fact that the brands she was picking were in the far corners of the store let me know they were not well regarded. I'm sure I am older than her mother. She first showed me a stick foundation which I knew made no since. I finally took a sample of one of her obscure brands since she obviously had no idea what she was doing. It was foundation by Selena Gomez (Rare Beauty) which had horrible reviews and people wrote don't use on dry skin (my age alone should have given her a clue). I finally asked for a different Laura Mercier foundation that my daughter loved. When I tried the sample at home it was not remotely close to my skin color even though she had color matched it to my skin. Luckily I went to the Walnut Creek Sephora where the great sales associate listened to me and gave me a lighter foundation by IT and more full coverage by Dior. The Walnut Creek sales associate was trained and wonderful. The San Ramon sales associate was like going to Walmart. read more

I really needed to buy new foundation since I realized the one I currently had didn't match my skin and I do my makeup almost everyday. I didn't realize they closed at 9PM and I headed in at 8:45PM. I was immediately helped by a very nice man (I didn't get his name) and I told him exactly what I was looking for for my skin type and needs. He immediately came up with some very good suggestions and and we went over to test some foundations out. It took a couple tries but then he found the perfect match for me. I was very pleased since I've always had a hard time picking out foundation that matched my skin tone. He was very kind and patient and he didn't make me feel rushed even though the store was about to close. He then asked if I'd like to try another foundation he suggested and I said it was ok because I really liked the one he'd picked out for me and I also didn't want to keep him any longer. We had a very nice conversation at the cash register and then my mom and I headed out very happy. Thank you to the very kind man with the sparkly shoes! I'm sorry I didn't get your name but you're amazing. Thank you for being so patient with me. UPDATE: The nice man who helped me is named Fernando. I went in today to thank him and get his name. Nicole Rose is amazing. I went in to pick out makeup for my wedding. I'm not super confident about makeup and she helped me immensely. She did a shade finder and helped me pick out a whole collection of makeup that really suits me. She really listened to what I wanted and her recommendations were so spot on! I was being "helped" by a woman in this Sephora today after being ignored by her and another employee when I came in, I inconvenienced her by asking a question that she either didn't know the answer to or she didn't care to try to find the answer for. I don't know if it was intentional or she was oblivious but she did a great job at making me feel ridiculous/embarrassed about what I was asking for. (A new fuller coverage CC cream since they didn't have the one I currently use and love which she said they were probably phasing out) I had mentally decided I would stop coming to this new Sephora and go back to the less convenient that always has great customer service from now on. Just as that was happening another employee, Jasmine, walked by and asked if I had been helped. I hesitantly said yes, but she seemed to know I needed some real help. She was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and made me feel great about myself and my questions. She informed me my favorite CC cream hasn't been discontinued it has gone through a packaging change!! Yay!! She went to the back to try and find it and when she couldn't she offered to order it for me with no shipping charge!
