From being followed around (never greeted) like a common thief to being reprimanded for looking thru something that's in total disarray and NOT having any of the testers in order (so I had to open every box to see if it had a matching testers (being basically scolded 4 x in a row by a boy with a purple curly top) telling me I can't open them bc then they have to tester them out. But never offering me any assistance. To just being completely ignored. NEVER EVER greeter. To the fact that THEIR namesake line is NOT cruelty free is rather sad and disgusting. Ulta. The wife comes here and the products that she finds are quality and long lasting. From the brushes to moisturizer she is able to find what she wants without issue. They have a great selection that will have you looking at a one stop shop. Service is great as Audrey will make sure your needs are met and satisfied. Had a great experience at this location one of the employees name Zinoni was extremely helpful with color matching me perfectly for a foundation. He was able to answer all my questions I had in regards to products I was interested. This is the first employee I can say that I've had contact with that was knowledgeable about the products and made me feel so welcomed to be at Sephora! Also wanted to add that he was super hygienic when it came to using his tools and trying on the makeup samples. He cleaned his brushes that he was going to use on me and disinfected the products before applying it on me, which to be honest this is the first time I ever saw that being done at a Sephora! Do not come inside this store if you have a stroller with you. The aisles if you can even call them that, are super narrow. Seemed only one person could even walk through. Also the employees didn't bother moving despite seeing me trying to go through the aisles. Speaking of employees, I'm a bit confused how these people got their jobs working with makeup? I wouldn't trust any of them tbh. Their application really was lacking. Lastly, why must the music be bumped so damn loud?? How could you even listen if someone was trying to help you over the noise? The only reason I'm giving any stars is because of Paula! She was so helpful in the last 10 minutes of the store being open. the floor "lead" who was on was sooo RUDE and mean she saw me walk in at 7:50 , checked her watch and rolled her eyes as we walked by her,did not say hello. she was extremely eager to get everyone out talking loudly on her ear piece about the sales team getting every guest out! so much so that she was rushing Paula to stop helping me, so that she could get the other customers out 2 min after 8. She was standing at the door like a gate keeper, denying a little girl with her mom asking for an exact product while the store was still technically open for another 8 minutes but let other people in afterward. I love this store! A girl's dream store, one stop shop for all my needs. I could spend endless hours in here trying all their amazing products. Skin care, hair care, make up, perfume, anti-age lotions...you name it, they got it! But what makes Sephora special and different then anyone else is that there is no store quite like them. The first thing is that they give out samples, not just random samples but personalized ones out of the bottle for whatever product you want. Usually your only allowed 3 but they make exceptions. They listen to your problems and try to find the products that will be your solution. Secondly they have amazing customer service that definitely sets them apart from other stores. They go above and beyond to please their customers. Lastly you can try on all the products in there and get your make up done by their make up artist. Sephora has a rewards program where you earn free sample and full size products with all your purchases! And who doesn't like free things? Another plus is that if you need to return a product, no problem, they make that real easy for you! read more

Fan of Sephora for sure. Popped in to pick up a few things. Knew what I wanted but not where they were. One of the staff quickly zipped me from area to area to pick up what I needed. I asked for help on one item, and she quickly had my makeup dilemma solved! Way to go. I've had the makeup makeover at another store and that really helped with the whole Sephora overload.. Ehh....I'll try to keep this short because I hate complaining.. Anyways, sephora is my go to place for makeup. I like the fact that I could go to jcpenney and buy sephora products there...but as this mall doesn't have a jcp...this will have to do. As for inventory, they have a lot of stuff ranging from perfume, makeup and skin care products. I like the insider status where you earn points on money spent for rewards especially since sephora is not cheap. And the birthday rewards are cool. Usually the customer service is good with people coming to you offering some help and advice. But this location has been lagging on that. I have come here on numerous occasions left to my own devices to get what I need and get out. I have seen people ask for help only to be told to wait. I used to love coming to sephora but I think I'll save myself the trip and order online from now on. read more

Ok I'll finally review! First off, I love Sephora in general. I hated the service here for a very long time and hesitated to review because of it. Then I found Teresa who changed my makeup life! She is incredible!!! So sweet and helpful. Sadly she is leaving to their Calabasas location soon...so sad! But, I was lucky enough to meet Audra today who is another awesome MUA. Very knowledgeable, patient, and excited about what she does (just like Teresa!) I decided to do a Custom Makeover today (free with $50 purchase and online reservation.) I knew I'd be buying all my essentials anyway so the purchase was going to be made regardless. Anywho, I am so glad I did it! Learned lots and get to enjoy an incredible makeup job for a night out with the girls. I suggest you get online and make the reservation...like now. We were able to address all my concerns and questions, we went through all the lip ideas she and I had until we found something that I loved and works for my lifestyle. I was super disappointed with my make up service yesterday. I showed my makeup artist the photo of what I was looking for. I did tell her it was for a nighttime event. I think I would've done my make up better. The make up looked nothing like the photo it was very light. I'm very fair skin and it looked like I had Hardly nothing on. The look was smoky eye in the bottom and she said we're done and she had done nothing to to the bottom of my eyes. She did not put any eyeliner or smoked it and I told her the photo had all that and she's like oh I'm sorry. I paid $60 plus tip for a look that had nothing to do with what I asked. I'm very disappointed like I mentioned I could've done my make up way better than she did. Also, my eye makeup on my lid had creased by the time I got home. I noticed she didn't not use liquid I was very upset didn't even look like my makeup was done professionally. Never again. The photo I had the girl had a orangey brown lipstick and she told me she wasn't gonna put it on me because it was pointless if I was going to eat so she would put a lip gloss so she honestly didn't do what I asked. Everytime I'm at this Sephora location there's always an issue but this time I've just had it. I took my mom out to the mall tonight (11/06/2021 @ 7:20pm) in the wheelchair for the first time since being hospitalized. We went to Sephora for a store-pickup only to be in the middle of two employees gossiping about another coworker. We just wanted to grab our stuff & go... we didn't want to hear any of your drama. It was mainly some short girl named Raquelle that wouldn't shut up while I'm here trying to get my mom's order scanned on their mobile device. She didn't even acknowledge us, nor did she care that we were present when she was even cussing and ranting. When I interrupted her to ask the girl assisting us something with the order, Raquelle was like "okay.." & she walked away. Who acts like this? I used to work for the Century City Sephora and none of what I'm always encountering at this specific store would fly over there. Everything about this place from their services, customer service, return/ exchange policy - its all HORRIBLE. Don't waste your time or money. Nordstrom & Bloomingdales has almost all the same brands, a points program, free gifts w/ purchase (no points necessary), mini make overs, etc. Go there instead. There was a point in which I had back to back bad experiences, but have been pleasantly surprised during my last couple visits. Manager Amber has always been the sweetest to my memory and all the staff has been so kind and has offered me help whether I was wearing makeup or no makeup. Also, Jorge has been absolutely phenomenal. He is seriously the best help and was able to show me new products and so on and so forth. I was so excited to get the new Kat Von D Shade & Light contour pallet. I got there and no one offered to help me. I was confused looking for the pallet. When I finally I asked a worker for help and she asked if I was going to buy something..... Uhmmm yeah that's why I'm here! She asked to give her a minute..... Came to Sephora today asking to exchange my store credit to gift card so I can make a purchase online. Manager wasn't willing to help me, just said that he is not going to do that. Then I asked to make an order in the store, he said no again. I asked about what can I do about it, he said "nothing", like I was bothering him. I went yesterday to this Sephora. As I was checking for the brow definer from Anastasia, I noticed they didn't have my color. So as there was no one around and I wasn't going to waste my time to look for someone I started to check the bottom drawer to see if there was any there. As I'm checking, one of the associates says are you looking for something and I said yes. She then processes to go on her walkie and say "can I get anyone to assist a customer at Anastasia she is going through our drawers". I felt embarrassed for one, I don't think it was necessary to state it that way. Made me feel like I was stealing when in reality I was just checking for The product I needed. For two, instead of stating that over the walkie why couldn't she just walk over and help me if it was such a big deal? I mean she was 15 feet away from me. At that point, I just left. Worst customer service I've ever had!!!!!!! I went into the store just a few days ago and i went in looking to get color matched and get samples of some new foundations so that i can test them out before investing all my money on products i will not use. At first it seemed that the girl was going to be very helpful and asked me a few questions before. Then told me to wait and i thought she went to grab the foundations to color match me but then i noticed she was setting up my samples with out color matching me. The colors she gave me are too dark for my skin and i thought it was just laziness for not trying to color match me Ive also went to many other stores and ove gotten endless samples of what ever i wanted and i was told by the same associate that i was only allowed 3 samples. They recently remodeled this Sephora, but I have no clue what it looked like before =/ It's a pretty decent size, not the largest Sephora I've ever been in but you can pretty much find almost everything you would need. The sales associates are kind of hit and miss...some greet me upon entry, but others look jaded. I feel like the majority of the samples/tester products are just disgusting/completely mutilated. One star because: this place is not being well kept as other Sephora locations. It's dingy, messy, chaotic. One star because: of the extremly rude & unprofessional staff that work here. One word for the service at this Sephora: Inconsistent either 97 people ask me if I need anything or no one does. I honestly don't really NEED the help, I worked in cosmetics long enough to know what's up. I have a pretty large vocabulary when it comes to cosmetics and skin care... but it's nice to have someone help you if they know what they have in stock, as in: ME: "I need a facial mask with a high percentage of sulphur. You didn't have the DDF. What do you have?" DO-BE SALES PERSON: "Murad Sulphur mask is 4%, is that high enough?" DON'T-BE SALES PERSON: "Bliss makes face masks." Help of that caliber is rarely found at a place like Sephora, because they're people are fly-by-night, probably because they don't make commission. My main complaint about this location is how dirty it is. The testers are disgusting, coated in layers of old product and totally unsanitary. This is a great place to catch pink eye, or a cold, if you're really lucky, maybe even a cold sore. I don't know about you, but when I go to by a $25 lip gloss, I'd prefer to be able to try it on without fear of catching something. read more

The first Sephora in the Valley, this place was a destination point for my mommy and me monthly back when we did pretty much everything together and when it was the only place to easily find Stila, NARS, Benefit and Shu Uemura makeup all in one place and sniff out the latest Burberry perfume too. Here's where I discovered that Benefit's BadGal lash is plush enough a product I can wear it without any other makeup and feel good, where I buy crazy colored products like Stila's Smudge Pot in metallic Cobalt blue (and yes I can get away with wearing metallic blue eyeliner thank you very much!), and where I would sniff Philosophy's amazing pumpkin scented shampoo. Their staff can be a bit pushy but that also means I never had any fear of asking them to check on backstock when something looked out of stock or anything else I might have been wondering about. Too bad more than a few times they were indeed out of what I wanted, but I more often than not manage to find something else to try out or replace... read more

This store has a great stock and the layout is easy and convenient to maneuver. However, here is the reason this store definitely is NOT a 5: I like playing with makeup, but I am by no means an expert, and I don't know all of the products out there. So, naturally, I turn to sales associates for advice. So why do they undermine me when THEY don't know the answer? I misunderstood one rep, and she actually slowed down her speech, "Like. I. said. before....." I should have found out her name and reported her.... However, there are two reasons why I would come to this store: Ralph and Kristin. They are so genuine, knowledgeable, and they really listen to you and care about your needs. I appreciate their expertise and kindness! If I could give THEM 5 stars, I would.
