I feel compelled to write this review as this was not only my first ever headspa experience, but also with this business. Please take this into consideration when reading my review. I have very mixed feelings and overall have some points that I was disappointed in. The overall ambiance is a small comfy clinic, however during the treatment, I felt like I was not in confident hands. I will make a bulleted list to share my further thoughts: -the worker who was assigned to me had a language barrier which made it difficult to communicate, instruct, guide me appropriately. While she was sweet and you could tell she was still pretty new, I did have to "adapt" and figure out what was expected which was not a great first experience. -if i mentioned pressure was a little too firm, she would lighten slightly then forget and go full body-shaking force on my head. Not always the best feeling and at this point I decided to just sit through with it (I understand I could've spoken up, but this was my first experience and all of it was very new to me. There was also an anxiousness of disrupting her flow) -there was a lot of flustered back and forth in the room whether it was setting up, preparing, or remembering to do something, all while I was lying down (this was both at the beginning of the treatment and throughout). Not sure I was able to relax much, but I was still enjoying this new experience that I was super excited for. -by the near end, my head was almost being thrown side to side in a seemingly rushed manner -at the end of the treatment, I was sat up with my entire bare back exposed from a shoulder massage. The worker then tells me it's over and to change so we can blow dry (very quick short instructions). Without buttoning my top or giving me to time to collect myself, she runs out and opens the door. I felt EXTREMELY exposed and sat there slightly flabbergasted with my back bare facing the now shut door. (mind you, the clinic is very small where the window to outside is visible with the door open). -When my hair was blowdried, she went into her "sterilized oven" contraption to grab a hair comb. There was none in there and I watched as she was confused/stumped. She then proceeds to use the one in the cart by the blowdryer, rushed seeing as we were probably 20-30 minutes over the allotted time. Shortly after, another worker comes out and puts a hair comb in the sterilizer (this is how I realized she did not use a clean comb on me), and the worker assigned to me puts the hair comb she used on me in as well. I was disgusted but overall wanted to just finish because 5 feet behind me were the customers who had an appointment and had been waiting. -As I was paying, I am told cash payment gets you $20 off. I was unaware and disappointed it wasn't advertised online or I wouldve came with cash instead. I let her know I'll reluctantly be paying with card and ask how much my total is. She tells me $189, which I ask why the $20 off special advertised online wasnt applied. She tells me it was for cash only (this was NOT specified anywhere online. I show her my phone where I was confirmed to have my $20 off without any specifications that cash was mandatory for this deal, which she looks at and takes my phone to a different room to show her manager. I was puzzled why she left with my phone... but besides the main point, I could tell no one was on the same page. I was given an exception and received my $20 off in the end. Overall, I personally will not be going back. My dealbreaker was the non sterile comb being used. All other points made could be because they are still situating their business system/practice which is understandable. I'm not sure how long they've been open to have this justification. I did greatly enjoy the decollate massage and other points throughout the treatment, however personally they were not enough to dismiss the points I made above. read more

Let me just preference by saying, don't waste your money or time here. I got a 90 minute relaxation massage and decided the service would not work for me due to loud noises such as someone vacuuming, people walking in and out without any noise cancelling walls, no relaxation music, and overall a mid service (masseuse pressure was not hard enough, felt like she was just rubbing my body). I notified the masseuse about me not feeling comfortable or relaxed due to the loud noises and she laughed. I ended up leaving the service early. TLDR: loud noises, thin walls, mid service. Better to spend your money else where read more

I sent my daughter here today as a surprise. She said that they barely massaged her scalp, did not give her much information about it, and also did not give her a blow out. They rough dried it with a blow dryer. She just got home and it is STILL wet. The worst part? They asked her to give them a 5-star review and watched over her shoulder while she did!! Terrible service overall. First of all the name of the spa is a whole different than "serenity" from the outside logo name. Second of all when me and my friend enter for our "bring two get 40 off" basic package, the lady didn't even know we had an appointment although the day before they told us to come in at 11am not 12pm and it was only her just there. Nothing was prepared, nothing was offered. My friend asked for wine later on and the lady said "when the other comes they'll bring it". Even when the other lady came and nothing was given to us. The first lady made us change into the clothes without even closing the door for us to have privacy till we mentioned it. It is supposed to be scalp check, foot bath, the scalp/massage treatment, and a blow dry. Before the other lady came the First Lady brought us to the room, no scalp check and we were NOT asked if we wanted one (I don't know why it'd be an option to it if it's supposed to be included). When she did bring us to the room the room was small so the light they had was a bright facing us the whole time. She put our feet in blue water and it was cold water for my friend. She massaged my friend's legs and told me to wait a bit for the other lady. At this point it is 11:05 and she was already charging by the minute. The lady other lady arrives and she massages my legs out of the water. The foot bath was nothing because they just dipped our feet in blue water and closed it right after to massage not while in it. Then we start to go into the scalp massage treatment. While they were setting up the sink it smelled like eggs. Actual eggs. I was laying there disgusted smelling as she's rinsing something else out. Before washing I asked for the scalp check cause we never got it and the first lady tells me she asked and I said no.. I don't know why I'd be asked if I wanted the service I'm paying for.. but anyways I said "ok my bad I must've not heard you right" they felt weird that I asked but still took us to get scalp checked and it was only like 3 minutes of the time they took for us and barely explained anything. Finally they bring us back and start washing and it goes away. The massage was ok but the pressure was a bit too much for me. Throughout the whole time the first lady had a walkie talkie or something that was talking and someone even came in yelling "HELLO" and they were just talking in their language. At some point I heard a big drop from my friend's side and the round head rinse fell on her and she got soaking wet. They ended the wash with quick 10 second massages. They took use to get "blowdryed" it was not a real blow dry they didn't even use brushes and as a cosmetologist I expected more. It's embarrassing how they run things there. They put one product in our hair by a brand that looks like it's from Marshalls. Left my hair feeling so dry. When I went to go get scalp checked to finish it off I saw my friends curly hair dried and they really don't know how to blow dry nor even a small rough dry. Why include a service you can't do? Anyways they do the scalp check and again it was so quick with just telling us it's clean. It finally comes down to paying and the service is originally 119 that we got but online and my friend even called to double check and they told it'd be 40 off each person if both of us came together. They only took off 20 for each of us and after I paid the lady said "what about tip" .. as a service worker myself I NEVER ask that question because that is on the client if they want to or not. They already messed with the prices and telling us to tip was BEYOND rude. I ask for the lady's Venmo just to have it and my friend gave her tip and her lady laughed at it. Meanwhile my lady was eyeing my phone until I tipped her.. I really wanted to love it here but I felt worst than when I entered. Worst experience ever. read more
