I had the most wonderful experience at Serenity Spa. At 75 years old zi wanted to make my skin look alive so I booked a facial with Rochelle. It was amazing. So relaxing and my skin looked so hydrated and peachy! Just what I wanted. I decided to sign up for their 2 year, once a month special. There was no heavy sales pitch and I made the decision based on my experience. This came with several new products that O have been using. I am so happy with the results! Before I was buying my products off the internet or Walgreens so maybe any professional product would hydrated my skin and lessen hyper pigmentation. This is a very nice place and I appreciate hated the text reminders! My 42 year old friend that went too looked amazing and so fresh after her facial. No cucumber water though. Lol read more

I was definitely hesitant prior to my scheduled appointment after reading many mixed reviews online, but I decided to go through with it since I had prepaid online. About 30 minutes before my appointment, they called and told me they were running about 15 minutes behind schedule, I said okay and thought no big deal. I arrive and get checked in, and sit for 30 minutes waiting. I was the only one there so I was confused about the holdup. My esthetician didn't show up until 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, and my actual facial service started 45 minutes after the scheduled time. I'm not sure if she was running late or there was a mixup in scheduling but something definitely felt off while I was waiting. I'm glad I didn't have anything scheduled afterwards because the time delay had me leaving almost an hour later than I originally anticipated. My facial lasted 40 minutes, which the online booking quotes 45-60 minutes. Just shy of the quoted time but not that big of a deal to me. The actual facial service was decent, but not the best I've ever received. My esthetician was nice and explained the products she used, although some products seemed like they were from the dollar store, not what I would expect from a spa. They were not pushy about signing up for a membership or anything, just offered a brief explanation and a pamphlet, which I appreciated. Overall, I guess the experience was worth the $50 I paid for the first-time special, but I personally don't think it was worth more and glad I didn't pay more. I went in for a special offer on a facial. The location looked like it had been put together on a shoestring budget. The sign was just a banner. The interior had furniture that would have been fashionable in the 1970s. The esthetitian made no bones about wanting a different job. She was friendly enough, but didn't desribe what she was doing and what benefit each step had. After the facial, I was ushered into a small room for the sales pitch. The salesman quoted an initial price to me. I told him it was too much. He did the car salesman's ploy of exiting the room to see if he could lower the price. When he returned, he dropped the price by 50%. I told him it was still too high. Half of an outlandish price is still outlandish. He left the room again. When he came back in, he dropped the monthly price by another 50%. We had been talking about 12 treatments and 12 monthly payments. I agreed to those 12 payments at the rate that was quoted. He encouragged me to apply for a Care Credit card to use as my payment method. It was interest free for the duration of the payments, so I figured why not? When I got my first Care Credit statement, I saw I had been charged for twice the amount I was quoted and that the whole amount had already been charged to the card. I had not been told by the salesman the quoted price was based on 24 payments, not 12. I filed a dispute with Care Credit and wrote to the spa's Registered Agent Hagai Manascu. I got no response from Mr. Manascu. My dispute was resolved in the spa's favor. I contacted the Nebraska State's Attorney General. That office contacted Mr. Manascu. He stood his ground stating I had signed a contract. He didn't tell them that I had been quoted a price other than was charged. The Attorny General's office told me they can't force a business to refund money or negotiate. Since then, I have contacted the FTC, and my state senator. I have yet to hear back from them. This is clearly a case of deceptive sales practices. I note here that Mike McKnight of WOWT did an investigative report on this spa. He interviewed other women who had been financially harmed by the spa's deceptive sales practices. I have reopened my dispute with Care Credit. read more

First red flag is they could get me in the next day...in my experience great aestheticians are booked weeks in advance. Red flag #2, the person calling to make the appointment not only had a very thick Asian accent that I could not understand, but her phone frequently cut out. Red flag #3 was her insistence on wanting to know my daily care products, how often I got facials, what were the issues with my face, if I ever had Botox etc...I just wanted an appointment; I'll talk those details at my appt! I had scheduled a facial using the promo ad and was really looking forward to it. The day of the facial I had to go to the ER due to a medical emergency and was going to be admitted over night so I needed to cancel my appointment. I called the spa to tell them and the receptionist said she would ask her manager about it and call me back. Mind you I am in the ER waiting for testing. She calls me back and says her manager needs proof that I am in the ER so I don't get charged a fee for late cancelling my appointment. I am literally in the ER for a medical emergency and this spa needs me to provide a Dr note to say that I am in the ER to cancel a facial so I don't get charged a fee?!??? I had to give my phone to my husband to deal with the rest of the call but he couldn't get a response as to the fee, and was told I would get a call back if I gave proof of my hospital stay. Husband got my proof of being in the ER and texted it to the spa with no response from them since. It's a really wonderful place to require a person to give proof they're in the hospital and once they do to have absolutely no follow up or any hospitality. I would not recommend the spa to anybody for any of their locations. They are extremely unprofessional. Their customer service is a complete joke and their scheduling is a nightmare. I scheduled a facial on Friday for Tuesday morning and when I arrived, I was told that they did not schedule me even though I spent almost 45 minutes on the phone, trying to get the facial scheduled. they wasted two hours of my time and I have not even received service. I have already paid for my package, but I have not received one facial due to scheduling errors on their end. Went for their $69 anti-aging facial normally $200. Did not receive all of the promised treatments and the entire facial only lasted 35-40 minutes. The esthetician was professional and told me everything she was doing. Not sure about their state of the art photo machine. Said my skin was overall poor but the esthetician commented that she could tell I took care of my skin. Tips are only through Cash App or Venmo and they tell you how you should tip. For example, 15% is the minimum and it should be on the full price not discounted price. Then it goes up to 20% and 25%. Lastly, they try to get you to sign up for a years worth of facials at $3000 or $250 for one each month. Way to expensive for my taste. read more

I have had issues with Serenity since early-on - both billing and service issues; I had two different times that I was not scheduled correctly and once, they specifically asked if I could come in at a different time, and when they did, it wasn't noted and although they checked me in, after waiting 45 minutes, no one knew what had happened. Then, I was told they were going to notify me monthly prior to payment withdrawal, and that didn't happen. Then, they ran the card multiple times, posing fraud alerts and stating that my card was declining, apparently a user issue where she was misunderstanding the messages. I talked to the bank and they confirmed the charges and asked the person on the other end to get on the phone with the bank with me - she refused. I asked and then later sent an email to ask for the manager/COO to contact me. I heard nothing for several months and then I got an email from the COO, stating she was sorry to hear about my husband's death but needed validation of that. What???? I still just ask for the common courtesy of a phone call! read more

I've had many facials and decided to check out the $69 special. The esthetician was good. However, they do a skin analysis prior to the facial to determine the treatment plan used during the facial. After the facial, they go over the analysis and try to sell very expensive packages for ongoing facials and treatments. One package was $3000+ and the gold package was $5000. They told me that my skin's age was 10+ years older than my actual age. Felt like shaming to make me want to buy their packages. Financing was available. However, I didn't bite and made an appointment with derm. My dermatologist told me that facials can be beneficial but laser treatments would be more effective in skin renewal and would be less expensive. Sharing to raise awareness. read more

I did the 69$ special which I found on Instagram. As I entered, I was given a computer pad to fill out my info. A young gentleman followed me to the sofa( dirty/stained) and began asking me questions about my past facials and what I was looking for. He was very scripted and sales trained. I was led to the photo gizmo for a look at my skin. They do not show you the results till AFTER the facial. The facial was ok, but nothing spectacular. The same guy led me to a " private" room for consultation about my face from the photo. The photo was awful! The salesman went on t try and sell a package plan. This was a real red flag as there is no guarantee this company will be there in 6 months. Never pay for future treatments! Obviously a money making deal for THEM. they had products to sell too. This was The WORST experience I have ever had with a facial. my skin had a terrible reaction but even worse I was tricked into purchasing a non refundable package that I was never told was non refundable! this store opened a credit card in my name and charged me 1800.00 dollars FOR NO TREATMENT. Don't fall for the package scam! the facial itself was pleasant but the whole business is shady. They use a face scanner to convince you your skin is extremely poor but they tell that to everyone. Then they push you to sign up for an extremely overpriced spa package, complete with cosmetics that aren't even accredited by the Better Business Bureau. This place is just lipstick on a pig. Update: In reply to the owner's response - I am aware face scanners are used across the industry but this establishment scans your face then gives you treatment WITHOUT discussing your results or needs. This seems shady as they have plenty of time to alter the results while you're in your treatment. After you complete your facial and are feeling nice and relaxed, that's when they deliver the "bad news" and convince you to buy their "discounted" package. (During my facial, my esthetician told me I had very nice skin, contradicting the results of the face scan). You get a very brief, shallow explanation of your skin results and are given a paper with some treatments recommended. They're smart and highlight appealing services such as light therapy, microdermabrasion, etc. They show you a few before/after pics that could have easily been doctored photos. The whole process screams sales tactic more than an authenticity and transparency. Regarding the BBB, let me amend my previous statement to focus on the rating given to both Serenity Spa and the poor products they promote. The rating is not something paid for and a business can still receive an A+ rating without being accredited. However, Serenity Spa itself has a C- due to outstanding complaints against the company that were never addressed. The "quality and luxury" products they promote have a D+ for the same reason. This leaves me to conclude neither business is as upstanding as they portray. If they really cared about the betterment of skin and have nothing to hide then why are there complaints never addressed and so many negative reviews of customers with the same experience as myself?
