We have always loved Sergio's, but on two occasions recently (September-October 2020), they were not following pandemic safety regulations. We ordered delivery, and the delivery person came to our door without a mask. This week, we ordered pick-up, and when my husband picked up the pizzas, the two employees working the counter did not have on masks. We've ordered pizza from here quite a few times over several months. Actually we probably order 2 to 4 times a month. What we've noticed the past month is the 16 inch cheese pizza has changed. Seems now there is way to much cheese on the pizza and very little sauce. Prior to this the pizza was excellent and reminded us of pizza from up in NY. I'm wondering if they have changed cooks or they are getting so busy now that the quality has gone down hill. Hope it goes back to the way it was. read more

We are from Jersey, and finding a NY pizza place here is such a chore! This was a true find, and even better that they deliver. We usually have their pizza, but love their calzones and chicken parm too. I prefer more garlic on my garlic knots and garlic bread, but all I have to do is ask for extra, and I am good to go. We were so excited to find this place (recommended by our new neighbor). Sergio's is the pizza king of Raleigh. If you want hand-made, true to character NY pizza, you HAVE to go here. I'm giving 5 stars because the food is SO GOOD! I wasn't impressed with my first point of contact. The man that took my order which was over the phone, wasn't friendly and was slightly rude after I asked him what the specials were. It's sad when the customer is nicer and more enthusiastic than the business taking your money and getting your business...the pizza is very good and has a lot of cheese (without having to order extra cheese), and my husband loved the steak and cheese sub. My calzone would have been really good if it weren't on the over cooked side. We order Sergio's at work regularly. I usually get the eggplant parm hoagie. I'm from NY and I'm super picky about eggplant. In fact, I think I make better eggplant parm than most. This is definitely my husband's and my new favorite pizza place in Raleigh. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the meatball hero and the baked ziti. The pizza was really good too. I wouldn't go to this place expecting authentic New York pizza because it wasn't really; it was just wicked good pizza. When we were placing the order for delivery, the guy on the phone was straight to the point haha, which can be kind of intimidating but we are also yankees so we're kind of used to that. The delivery driver was super super nice and made it to us in a timely fashion despite there being an absolute monsoon that started after we placed our order. Cool place. Great experience. Our go to pizza delivery place for sure. The wings are great and so is the cold Italian sub. The Philly is good but, when they deliver it they wrapped it up with the cheap paper plates and it stuck to the cheese. They should wrap it differently. These guys make good pizza but they're in way over their head for both delivery and pick up. We are fairly frequent customers - once a month, sometimes 2 or 3 - so we get it. They get really busy, but can't follow through. Tonight, i ordered 2 pizzas. Over 90 minutes later, they arrived COLD. Driver apologized, but it's not entirely his fault. Get your shit together. Use GPS or Waze, get 2-3 more phone lines - who gets a busy signal in 2016?? - and hire more staff and drivers $30 for 2 cold 16" pies after 90 minutes is NOT cool. Offered to remake my food instead of refunding. Nope. Take my $30 now, and forget the $300 I would have spent next year. Your choice. Zpizza, Bella Italia, Marco's - that's who will get my business.
