The pizza is dry & the 2 times I had it it tasted like it had been made a few days before it had a old stale taste it's just not good pizza

I've been here one other time for pizza and thought it was decent but after my visit on Saturday I'll probably never go again. I was craving a Hero. I grew up working in one of the best Hero shops in NY so yes I'm a little picky but I know what I'm talking about. I ordered the sausage parm hero and what complete disappointment and ripoff. It was the size of an oversized hotdog bun with almost no sausage on it. The bun was dry and seemed stale. All this dissatisfaction for $11.00 is robbery. read more

Sergio's is getting worse and worse. The last 2 times we ordered I had to have my husband call because the staff is so rude that answer the phone. On our second to last our pizza was undercooked and barely sliced. When I called last night and told them that and asked to make sure it was cooked and sliced the guy didn't even apologize he just said "45 minutes" Well last night the pizza was barely sliced again and ALL of the cheese had slid to one side. Once again it was undercooked. The sauce is delicious which is why we usually choose Sergio's., but never again. Some of the best NY style pizza I've had outside of NY. I not sure if they get the water shipped from Niagara to make their dough, but it tastes amazingly similar to being in the Big City! I go to the one of 401 just north of 540.. Service is excellent and they run this business with pride. The show-stopper is their wings for $8.95. For 12 really good sized wings, YOU WILL NOT find a better deal that's still quality (I get 12 and eat a few during lunch breaks, they last me like 3 days)... it's really a steal... Tip: Try Garlic and Feta on your pizza here and get some hot wings with some of their bomb-ass blue cheese dressing... I don't know if the dressing is house-made, but I think it's safe to judge a place off their wings and blue cheese. In this case, Sergio's is on point!! 4 stars because it's a little cramped in there with not a lot of seats and climate is probably hard to control with the oven always going... but keep up the great work, this is one of my go-to's that I will continue sending my friends to!!! read more

Wow?! What the heck is going on here?? Food was inedible. Chicken everything sub used to be so good. The chicken (?) patty was hard as a rock and the sub itself was dripping in grease/oil. Food is good, not Great. Would be better if they hadnt messed our pizza order up (wrong toppings) and also messed up the side items, resulting in a much higher bill. When mentioning this they had no care to fix our order or make it right. Only rushing because they were busy. The salad is a joke, do not order it unless you iceberg and raw onion. Sergio's has your typical pizza shop feel. The staff is pretty friendly and the food is above average. I like their meatball and philly subs. Their pizza is NY style. I really like their Sicilian. They offer a lot of choices for their slices. My only issue with the food is the packaging. I recently ordered a slice of Sicilian. They boxed it and when I got home the cheese was stuck to the top of the box. They also wrap their sandwiches weird. They place them on a paper plate and then wrap with deli/wax paper. The cheese tends to stick to the plate and the wax also ends up in the sandwich. It gets messy. It doesn't deter me, but it is a nuisance. They should look into fixing this. Delivery is hit or miss, but I get it's a small shop. I live a half mile away and my typical wait is about 45 min. During peak periods it isn't a surprise for them to tell you 90 min. I once waited just over 2 hours. If it's busy like NFL Sundays, you're better off picking it up. I would give 3.5 stars. Give it a try. read more

Would have been nice if the margherita pizza description said it came with balsamic vinegar which they put too much of and made the pizza soggy. fresh mozz was not melted either. Had to put it under the broiler when it got delivered. read more

There is sadness in my heart as I write about Sergio's Pizza. Sergio's, of the delicious spinach salad with sweet candied walnuts and tangy vinaigrette. Sergio's, of the amazing meat lovers pizza with slabs of authentic Italian sausage and spicy pepperoni. Sergio's, of the most buttery, garlic-drenched garlic knots on the planet. Sergio's, where I realized after ordering two single slices, that you can actually get a pizza where the whole crust is the aforementioned succulent garlic knots!!! The sadness comes from the fact that this was such an amazing pizza joint, and it is SIX hours from home!! We were in Raleigh for a wedding and may never get back. Heartbreaking. His could be a daily slice spot, for sure. Sergios has some of the best Grandma sauce in the area. The sauce and cheese ratio and combo is very good. Not your typical cheese slice for North Carolina. If you like garlic and basil, go for the Grandma. It is not the same sauce used on the other pizzas. Sergio's always has a great mix of 80's - current music station playing too! Something to keep in mind, all of the "Sergio's" are not equal, at all. This one is worth the drive if you want good pizza. read more

We love Sergio's NY style pizza. We've ordered take out several times recently and always enjoyed it all. Some favorites: the Grandma pizza is traditional- square with a thin, crispy crust (but different from the bready Sicilian). The veggie pizza wasn't the usual peppers + onions, but also full of artichokes, mushrooms, olives, broccoli and fresh tomatoes. The hero sandwiches are just the right size and like comfort food in a roll. Overall Sergio's is a great option in the Lousiburg Rd., North Raleigh area. read more

So there's a bit to say here. When moving down from Nyc about 3 years ago this place was my go to but it was always a hit or miss. Lately it's been nothing but a miss, pizza's are stale, not heated the right way and most importantly, the staff is filled with jockey headed, testosterone filled, hyper active little boys who are always more interested in playing around behind the register and talking about how cute the girls who walk in are. This place gotta get their stuff together, the service and the pizza both need some serious refinement. Sergio's has excellent pizza! Last time we visited they were playing 90's music which I loved. Yesterday, we had another great experience. They had a giveaway for a free sandwich. The sandwich was something I would normally not have ordered but since it was free, why not try it. I'm so glad I did! Husband and I shared the free sandwich which was a high end salami, mozzarella, roasted peppers and a side of balsamic vinegar dressing. It was really good! We always love the pizza and garlic knots. They are very friendly and even gave my daughter some cookies as we were leaving. There are closer pizza places to us but Sergio's has much better food. read more

It is hard to find a place that has New York style pizza when they aren't in New York. However, Sergio's is based out of NY so I think that is what makes them so great...they truly know how to make a pizza. Recommendation: The bacon or meatball toppings are amazing. The onions are also fantastic, and not too strong at all! Even my friend who isn't crazy about onions on her pizza will order them. Even the sausage, it is the sliced kind (not crumbled) and I love that. Only ever done pick up so I can't speak to delivery or dine-in. read more

I want to start out with a couple things: I've been in the restaurant industry for 14 years, This is the first time I've given a 2 star rating. On the bright side-the marinara is pretty delicious, the mozzarella sticks are probably awesome fresh from the kitchen, the cheesesteak meat seemed quality with great potential. On the flip side- the wings were so overcooked and so tough we couldn't eat them, the manicotti filling was bland, the "salad" that came with the pasta was literally sandwich toppings in a container (iceberg, tomato slice, yellow onion), and there was wayyyyy too much mayo on the cheesesteak. The great star ratings and top reviews is the reason we tried it but, Unfortunately we only eat out about 3x a month total, so we probably won't waste our time or money to give this place another chance. read more

Just WOW we use to love the pizza and food from here and what's more upsetting they have places in NY well maybe you better send someone from up north to come help! I was on the phone for 20 minutes on hold to place a order which is normal and shouldn't be and 2 hours to be delivered and ended up throwing it all in the garbage The mozzarella sticks were the most disgusting things we ever ate we both took a bite and spit it out not crispy just a greasy mess how do you mess up mozzarella sticks! I ordered Spaghetti Alfredo which I still don't get why they don't have fettuccine but this is the 2nd time I ordered it and they gave me penne and it was a curled heavy cream mess that got dumped in the garbage also and the side salad that came with it was a joke iceberg lettuce a slice of onion and 1 slice of tomato. The last thing we ordered was the cheese steak 2 bites and done. I will never ever order from this establishment ever again and we use to be loyal but not anymore they need to really look hard because they are definitely not close to NY Quality read more

The pizza here is great but the customer service is non-existent. I should have known it was a problem when the guy at the register had his mask below his nose. To make matters worse, my pizza was burnt. A gentleman eating a Grandma's informed them his pizza was also burnt and he received an apology, I did not. No acknowledgement from management, no apology just an additional 25 minutes of my time wasted because they couldn't get it right. My family have been patronizing this place for years and they even provided pizza for my son's bday party and you can't even apologize for your own f*ck up but you can with the man next to me? Visited Sergio's because plenty of good reviews. I had a slice of mushroom/pepperoni and a "Grandma" pizza (it had garlic knots on the crust. Personally, I didn't like the sauce on the pizza too much - I added some salt, oregano and Parmesan and it added enough flavor to where I liked it. Friendly service, quiet setting. Two other needs: someone to check the bathrooms more frequently. There was no toilet paper when I went. Also, prices should be listed somewhere. read more

Aside from delicious food, the customer service is friendly and efficient, and is always clean when I go in. My favorite right now is the meat lovers.
