    House Salad with House dressing
    Sherry W.

Go there for lunch on occasion. Limited menu, but good choices and reasonably priced. My favorites are steak sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, and house salad. The steak sandwich is served on a ciabatta roll. It has Filet mignon, Gruyere cheese, grilled red pepper & onions, garlic mayo, and creamy horseradish. The house salad has Romaine, arcadia blend, heirloom cherry tomatoes, carrot ribbons, cheddar cheese, bacon, garlic croutons, and watermelon radishes (which are an added bonus because they aren't in salads I've ordered at other places. ) The house roasted jalapeno honey vinaigrette put this salad over the top. I was hesitant to order, by the name of it. I thought it may be too spicy, but it's not spicy at all. It has the best flavor, and I have to admit I order the salad sometimes just because I have such a craving for that yummy dressing. I've never had anything like it, anywhere else. The grilled cheese sandwich is different too. It's served on Challah bread with garlic butter. It has bacon, roasted tomatoes, sharp cheddar cheese, and avocado. I wouldn't normally order a grilled cheese at restaurants, but I look forward to eating this one! My friend ordered the garlic bread appetizer for us, which was good too. It was Sourdough bread with garlic, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. It was served with house-made marinara. The marinara made me wish I had more of it and some pasta to serve it on. We finished our meal off with crème brûlée. Yum! I've never ordered anything at this place, and it not be delicious. I hope I can eventually venture out on the menu, because I'm sure every item I try will not disappoint. To add, if you want really good service in a very nice atmosphere, go here.

I made a reservation last minute for dinner as we were passing through Franklin heading out of town for Thanksgiving. Got in no issue. I ordered the 6oz filet with lobster truffle mac and cheese. This is a must. Of course the daily specials caught my eye because they had pumpkin pecan cheesecake. I also had the pumpkin pie martini. I was a little surprised at the bill how expensive it was. Also, the presentation of the food was lacking. They put my little filet on a massive plate by itself. It was a little odd. Our server AJ was awesome though.

We came early on a Saturday around 5pm without reservations and got lucky with the last two seats at the bar. The bartenders were so attentive and helpful in our consideration of drinks and food. The ambiance is modern and minimalist, the bar had a tv with sports on. I started with their Bleu Cheese Stuffed Olives Martini - it was just what I was craving to start off my palate for the meal. My bf on the other hand wanted a sweeter start and went with their Pomegranate Mojito - I tasted it and it was a lovely take on a mojito, he really enjoyed it! We often order two things to split - so we got a 6oz filet mignon with the truffle mac 'n cheese and my bf got the Bourbon Glaze Pork Chop that came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak - wow - we got it "medium plus," lol and it was perfect for us - while the meat was perfectly cooked, I think for the price it could have had more flavor/seasoning. I did not taste the rosemary garlic butter, salt or pepper it was supposed to have. The bourbon glaze pork chop was the highlight of our meal, it's richly flavored and perfectly cooked. I would have loved more than just two asparagus as they paired well. All in all, we were very pleased with the service, quality and flavor of our entire meal; however, for the price point, we think including something small, like a fresh bread service or a simple starter salad, would make the experience feel more complete and balanced.

Food Tried the bourbon glaze porkchop, Halibut, and scallops. 2/3 were on point. The Halibut was dry and over cooked. The porkchop was moist with a savory glaze. The scallops were cooked to perfection with a very nice crunchy aspect. Tried ordering calamari without the shrimp but it wasn't prepped yet???? They had been open a couple of hours so kind of surprising. Service Incredible...at first. Seated immediately and the waiter was funny and charming. Once we finished with the entrees it took a while to find him so we could get the ticket and pay. Had to flag down a bartender to help out. Ambiance Cozy, dim lighting. Great for lunch or dinner. The bar is at the entrance when you walk in but is far enough away to not be an issue. Would I go here again? Perhaps

I enjoyed the crab bisque appetizer and seared halibut dinner. Both the appetizer and dinner was excellent. Enjoyable relaxed dining on the outdoor patio. The service was exceptional as well!

While the food was delicious, i would personally order to go. We showed up 5 minutes before our reservation and sat almost immediately. Service was fast and rushed. The second I put my tip on the card, my wife used the restroom and they came and said, you all need to leave our next party was here. We were considering ordering a cocktail and dessert, but the fact that we were ushered out so quickly was incredibly rude. It put a very sour taste in our mouths and ruined the experience. Not to mention we were only at our table for a total of 54 minutes. The entire dinner was 54 minutes and we were still rushed. This was unacceptable.

Oh my the food was incredible. I ordered simple dishes yet the flavors were impeccable. Amazing vibe inside the restaurant and great staff. I loved the lemon cake!!!

We were starving. Serrato's came up as highly rated and we were close by so we decided to dine there. The service was very friendly and accommodating and the food was fine. I wouldn't say spectacular by any means, but it got the job done (although I was hungry when I left). I ordered 2 pieces of salmon and 1 piece of chicken (what they put on salads). The salmon was MINUSCULE. I should have ordered 2 more honestly but I wasn't sure how big the pieces were going to be when I initially ordered. They were tasty though so at least that was a perk. My husband rated his burger a 3/10. Our friends seemed to like their food but our kids did NOT even touch their macaroni. So over all I feel like my 3/5 rating works for the restaurant. It was okay but I'll absolutely forget about it.

I have NEVER had a bad meal here. They take so much pride in providing great service and a five star meal. The burrata salad is soooo good and fresh tasting so that's how I like to start my meal. I ate it so fast I didn't get a pic. I ordered the blackened salmon and shrimp for my entree and it was cooked to perfection!!

Culamar is drenched in natural light and decorated simply - nothing too loud or busy about the place, thus perfect for a working lunch. The menu was odd and we all struggled to understand the categories it was broken up into. Each item read as a series of arbitrarily listed ingredients. Our (half asleep, disinterested) waitress informed us the dishes were, in majority, "tapas style", a term I find exhaustingly passé. I began to dream of restaurants down the road we could have selected, but we were here and we must stay the course! I had to keep it together for Dennis. We ordered 6 dishes for the three of us to share, and you know what? They were all excellent. Really such outstanding bites. I was stunned by how much I enjoyed the beef carpaccio, the calamari was the best I've ever had (amazing tempura fry!), the Gnuddi (basically a massive gnocchi) in browned butter and crisp sage was a pillowy delight. In spite of my initial concerns -- the hiccups of a confusing menu and our less-than-energetic waitress -- we all left with pleased palates.

The food itself was absolutely delicious. The bread was AMAZING and honestly one of the highlights. We also ordered the oysters, beef carpaccio, and duck, and everything tasted incredible. My biggest complaint is the price for the portion sizes. I really don't mind spending money on a nice dinner, but every dish we ordered was gone in what felt like less than a minute. Everything tasted amazing, but for the amount of food you actually get, I just couldn't justify the prices. We actually left and ended up going to another restaurant afterward because we were still hungry, which was pretty disappointing considering how much we had just spent. Overall, the food was delicious, but between the extremely small portions, high prices, tight space, and slower service, it just wasn't worth it for us. I'm glad we tried it, but I wouldn't go back.

We arrived a little early so we could sit at the bar and enjoy an Old Fashioned before the rest of the guests arrived. It's a classic, old-school bar with so much character! Once we got to our table, we were greeted with some warm, toasty bread to get things started. For an appetizer, we ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp were large, and the cocktail sauce was perfect! Now, here's a must: Order the salad bar! It's legendary! For my entrée, I went with my usual Filet Oskar, sooo good and cooked to perfection! Others in our group had the filet and the fish, and everyone loved their meals. Since it was Mom's 90th birthday, she had the Peppermint Ice Cream, which is her favorite! And here's the really sweet part. Our waitress, Sylvia, noticed that I had birthday candles sitting off to the side. Without saying a word, she discreetly came behind me, took the candles, and put them on Mom's ice cream! Then they worked their magic. They came to the table, took a few pictures, and gave us the photos in a little paper frame to take home. What a wonderful memory from such a special birthday! And back to Sylvia, she was amazing! She was incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal, helped us while ordering, kept our water glasses filled, and always greeted us with her beautiful smile. When we checked in, the hostess asked for our name and the number in our party and wrote it down on a notepad. I had to clarify that we already had a 7:00 PM reservation for two. She didn't appear to be referencing the tablet system, and it may not have been functioning. Throughout the evening, she was walking around with her notepad, going table to table asking for names. It all felt very unorganized, and honestly, I felt badly for her being put in that position. We were told they were running 20-25 minutes behind and could wait near the bar. We grabbed a high-top near the jazz quartet and settled in. As we waited, we noticed several couples come in, wait, and eventually leave. A couple next to us who had arrived about 15 minutes before we did repeatedly checked with the hostess about their table. At 7:45, they were finally seated. By that point, we had been waiting nearly an hour past our reservation time. During the wait, my wife went to the restroom and came back concerned. The ladies' room was not clean and was out of paper towels. She also noticed that about half the dining room tables were empty, with a significant amount of bussed food sitting out in the open. I checked the men's restroom myself and found the trash overflowing and paper towels all over the floor. It did not inspire confidence--especially regarding what the kitchen might look like. As I stood in line to let the hostess know we would be leaving, the couple who had just been seated walked back out and told us several items on the preset $89-per-person Valentine's menu were already unavailable--including the shrimp. Running out of key items that early in the evening on a fixed holiday menu is simply unacceptable. Had we stayed, our bill likely would have been around $300 with dinner and wine. Instead, after waiting nearly an hour and seeing the condition of the restaurant, we chose to leave. Several other couples did the same. We ended up at Tito's Mexican Restaurant, which wasn't our first choice for Valentine's dinner--but at least we were seated, served, and able to enjoy our evening. What makes this especially disappointing is that we gave Ludlow & Prime a try last Valentine's Day as well. We went earlier (around 5 PM) and were told they were already out of our preferred dessert. Fool me once. We decided to give them another chance this year--and unfortunately, it was worse. The restaurant wants to position itself as a high-end dining experience, but the service, preparation, and execution simply don't match the price point. There are far better options in Franklin at this level. We won't be back, and we cannot recommend it to others.

I sat there while employees walked past me without saying a word. At one point, six employees were standing at a table directly behind me folding silverware. Six employees -- including the same hostess who had just sent me to the booth -- were right there, and not one of them acknowledged that I was sitting there. No greeting. No "We'll be right with you." No offer of a drink. No one even asked if I was ready to order. It is now 8:30 PM, and I am STILL sitting here without anyone coming to check on me. What's especially frustrating is that I was prepared to order a drink, an appetizer, and an entrée. I came into this restaurant ready to spend my money and enjoy a meal. Instead, I was treated as though I didn't exist. At this point, I'm leaving and will have to find a fast-food restaurant. I've traveled and eaten at restaurants all over the country, and I honestly don't understand how a restaurant can operate this way. Bonefish Grill isn't in Houston for whatever reason, but after this experience, I think I understand why this particular location may be struggling. When six employees can stand directly behind a paying customer, including the hostess who seated them, and nobody thinks to say hello or offer service, this isn't just one employee having a bad day. This feels like a management and leadership problem. Restaurants don't lose customers because of one bad night. They lose customers when employees stop caring and management allows that behavior to become acceptable. Bonefish Grill management: your customers are not invisible. I wasn't asking for special treatment -- just basic customer service.
