We've even observed how thorough the team is with their cleaning routines - nothing is left unsanitized, and it really shows in how well the restaurant is maintained. Tonight we ordered something we somehow had never tried before: the chicken fajita fries. I am SO disappointed... in MYSELF for missing out for the past nine years on what is now officially my favorite Tito's dish! The chicken was slightly and perfectly charred, the vegetables were flavorful and grilled to perfection, and the fries were crispy rather than mushy -topped with a delicious creamy sauce that brought the whole dish together. On top of that, it's finished with sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Absolute perfection. Side note: if you enjoy a little heat, ask for some of their house-made habanero sauce. Are in town from Southern California for a high school graduation. Wanted some tortilla soup and this is one of the only places within miles of Franklin that has it on the menu. Also ordered a chicken enchilada and chile relleno to go. Not a fan of their version of tortilla soup as it is a dark broth versus the clear broth we find in Southern California. And it was salty. The enchilada and relleno were both delicious. Chips and salsa were good but the salsa was a little too tomato tasting and slightly watery. Online ordering worked well. Our first time dining at Tito's. Food was outstanding. Since leaving the Northeast 10 years ago, this is the first Mexican restaurant we've come across in middle TN that offers deep fried avocado slices. They did not disappoint. I used to love this restaurant, but after visiting tonight and finding out that they no longer allow any kind of substitutions or changes to the menu items my family and I left without ordering anything. I don't know why they've decided that customers no longer deserve basic accommodations, because now they refuse to allow ANY substitutions or modifications. People have allergies, food sensitivities, and religious beliefs that prevent them from eating certain things. After a 12 hour day of meetings I decided to grab dinner from Tito's. It was a bit confusing when I walked in where I should place my Togo order but an employee directed me to the correct area. The tables are close together and it was a busy night so I had to squeeze between people. After placing my order I took a seat at the bar to get a much needed margarita. The bartenders were friendly and my drink was strong. A few regulars were sitting next to me at the bar and I loved seeing them interact with the staff. My food took about 25 minutes, but again it was very busy the night I went. I ordered the Vallarta especial burrito with steak. It's 2 burritos covered in cheese, sour cream and guac. Served with rice and beans. The steak was cooked and seasoned very well. There were more peppers and onions than steak inside the burrito. The rice was really good but I wasn't a fan of the refried beans. The portion was huge for the price and I will be back to try other menu items. read more

This is a step above the regular hole in a wall Mexican in regards to seating (lots of seating), pricing (slightly more expensive) and vibe/cleanliness (think bougier). Great location to where we were staying, however the drinks and food did not impress. We went right when they opened on a Saturday so you'd think being some of the first customers we'd have pretty good service... well think again. Our waiter was not super friendly and wasn't really paying attention to our drink orders, as 1/2 of them were wrong. Several of us ordered margarita flights and I think he only got 1 right. He got salt/no salt/spicy salt wrong on most of the margaritas and a couple flavors wrong. A little confused why this happened as he was writing everything down... The food was just ok. Chips could have been salted a bit more. Queso was very runny... so much that we were joking about just drinking it. The rice was kind of dry/hard and not warm. The steak quesadilla had plenty of meat in it, but it was uneven with cheese and very generic tasting. It's seemed most of what the table got was lacking flavor or should I say a "spark" making you walk away saying DAMN, THAT WAS GOOD. It was definitely a bummer. Maybe it was an off day for the place but our waiter was really the only we interacted with and we weren't impressed or really made to feel welcome. He did get our separate bills correct, so I'll give him that. So I will be passing on dining here again and if it is a chain (not sure if it is or not) I'm not jumping on trying it in a different location. Always a good time at Tito's! It was a busy week night but we got a seat. Our serve Omar was fantastic! Pitchers of Margaritas were great! Chori Queso, chips and salsa are consistently good! Bummed that we asked for the picante salsa (hotter one) and charged for it. It's still salsa and odd for a Mexican restaurant. Fajitas were great and so were the rice and beans. A bit salty though so you might want to ask for a little less salt if your worried about that. Someone at our table had the Camarones Diablo, and they were spicy. With Berry Farms neighborhood in close proximity and just a short drive to I-65, this place is always jumping. Savory morsels of meat dance on the tongue, assisted by delectable sauces, of which our neighbors to the south (not Alabama south, the other south) are famous for. In layman's term, the food is darn good! My date for the evening was my beautiful granddaughter Hope. She being skilled with all things social media, was able to secure us a place on the waiting list before we left the house. When we got to the restaurant, we only had to wait maybe 5 minutes. I strongly urge you to do the same as the place gets super busy, especially on Saturday night. Hope ordered her usual standby chicken fajitas, while I opted for the Vallarta Especial, and especial it was. A steak burrito with onions and peppers covered in a white cheese sauce. And let's not forget to "say hello to its little friend" (I know, a Cuban reference, but I couldn't resist) you actually get two of these beauties. Asking for it I guess, kind of puts it in the category of a secret menu item. The refugees from the western States would liken it to "In and Out Burger", who is well known for its secret menu items. And if you've never heard, seen, or been to an In and Out, let me give you a clue to how good it is. If you think the lines at Chic-fil-A are long, you ain't seen nothin' yet. In and Out puts those lines to shame. Don't believe me? Come out to California and pay a visit. I'll buy you a Double Double. Full disclosure: I'm a native Houstonian. Houston has a Mexican restaurant on every corner. I've eaten a huge variety of Tex-Mex so keep that in mind as you read this review. We decided to go to Tito's Mexican Restaurant one day simply based upon location. We needed a quick lunch but didn't want fast food. We came here based solely upon a word-of-mouth recommendation. The restaurant was fairly busy post-COVID. We were able to get a table for five fairly quickly. They brought us our chips/salsa almost immediately. Then, there was a long lull before someone took our drink order. By the time we ordered drinks, we were ready to order food so we did it all together. The one question most people will ask about a Mexican restaurant is, "How good are their fajitas?" Since I had not been here before, that is what I decided to order. As I mentioned earlier, I have eaten a lot of Mexican food and their fajitas were not that good. First of all, they were cut into very thin strips of meat. Almost like shoestring fajitas vs slices of meat. Since they were cut so thinly, they were also overdone. In my opinion, fajitas should be sliced thicker and cooked medium. These were definitely overdone. They did come with grilled onions (that's normal). However, it seemed like the meat and onions were cooked together on a frying grill. The best fajitas are cooked on an open flame and the onions are grilled separately. Anyway, that's enough about the fajitas but I'd give them 2-stars. My family members ordered other various menu item. I snuck a bite of my son's quesadilla as well as my wife's chicken enchilada with verde sauce. The enchiladas that she ordered were pretty good and plentiful. If you aren't starving or if you are trying to cut back, you could split the enchiladas. I do recommend them. 4-stars on the chicken enchiladas. Bottom line - Tex-Mex restaurant with decent food but sub-par fajitas. Good service and a quick in/out for lunch. Something is off with the way they do their wait list! Told 45 minutes and we were number 13 on list. 30 minutes later we were number 12 on list. Lots of tables were cleared and turnover was happening but wait wasn't going down!! Others were upset as well. Something isn't working with the way they do their wait. It seemed like people were calling in and getting in front of walk ins. It was strange. Management needs to look into what's going on or start taking reservations! There shouldn't be some secret hot line to jump ahead! We ended up leaving it was just too frustrating to sit and watch time go by and it be so inefficient! Just an average Mexican restaurant. The food was average. Decor inside was average. Don't start eating the chips and salsa that is brought to you until they bring your drinks. The salsa just got spicier with each bite. We experienced a long delay in our waiter coming to get our drink order. We had 3 separate tickets at our table. 2 out of 3 were overcharged for items they didn't order nor that were brought to the table. If it was the only place in the area to get Mexican food, I would go back again. If not, I'd try another place. Adding a recommendation to avoid the Chile Colorado or the Chile Verde. Traditionally both dishes are made with stew meat, usually pork for the Verde and chuck for the Colorado. Instead Tito's serves them with small slices of chewy unpleasant beef. Hard pass, order one of their other delicious plates. I wish they'd make them correctly, the sauces are fine, and if they were properly simmered meat, they're favorites that I'd happily frequently order. Not changing the rating, overall we still think this is a great place, and will be there frequently. These two dishes just need to either be corrected or pulled from the menu. read more

The female manager I forget her name but it is the only female with a white shirt on Thursday always steps up and helps her staff and is always so friendly and supportive. Went in to eat on a Tuesday afternoon. The hostess quickly got us seated outside. When we got to our table, the plastic menu and the table both were a little dirty with crumbs and smushed food. Our waiter, Cruz, arrived quickly at our table and we were able to place our order. He was polite. I ordered the sopes, which come with carne asada on them and opted out of the sour cream. Although nothing was wrong with my meal, I'd say the preparation was pretty average compared to sopes I've had before. My friend got the Tito's Special, and she had no complaints.
