While Globe Lighting has lots more styles and designs online, when buying expensive lighting it's a good idea to see it in person so you can gauge the size, proportion, color and span of light. Chandeliers, pendent lights, lighting fixtures can totally transform a room, become the wow feature and set the style for the space so making the right selection is critical. Was greeted the second I stepped through the door by a sales woman asking if I was finding everything I needed. A silly question since I was only in the store 2 seconds! Better to just say, "Welcome, is there something I can help you find?" Or better yet, "Welcome, please let me know if you would like assistance finding something." For me it's such a turnoff to feel like pray when I enter a store! I give the saleswomen credit for apologizing for the "attack." Her words, not mine; but accurate. I know most reviewers complain when they are not greeted upon entry; I'm not one of them! Could care less whether you say hello; just be available and thorough when I have questions. Lighting styles are evolving and I was hoping to find more mid-century modern lights with clean simple lines. They had lots of dark metal, farmhouse, and traditional style lights. Some ultra modern and space age LED lighting, but not as many options for transitional or mid-century. We ended up going with a chandelier we found online after carefully measuring and comparing to current lights. While there, I approached a different salesperson with questions about a bathroom light fixture in my home, one I am having difficulty taking apart to change out the bulbs. Yea, I know that sounds like the beginning of a joke, but it's not! He was super thorough, provided detailed instructions and even gave me options to consider if I wanted to swap the bulbs for an LED strip. All in all, a trip to Globe is worth it when looking for new lighting to see lighting up close and to get guidance from the experts who work there. Globe also has a variety of hardware for cabinets, numbers for the exterior of your house, outdoor lighting, and even home decor lurking in between and around the lamps. So walk around with a keen eye, you never know what you may discover.

The technicians arrived right on schedule. They were extremely courteous and I asked them to explain the process before they began. The cleaning was thorough as they meticulously went through each vent and the main duct system. As expected there was a slight smell when starting the furnace back up (not dissimilar to how it might smell after being off all summer) but that cleared up quickly. We haven't had them cleaned in the 12 years we've been here (I know, I know...) but I really expected them to be worse. They even replaced the filters on the furnace (I provided them). The pricing was reasonable and comparable to similar services. It took about 3 hours for a 3k sq ft house. We also had them clean out the dryer vent.

They each seem to have their own areas of specialization; Orest is amazing with logistics, one of his brothers is remarkable with tile, and the other brother seems to be a dependable and friendly jack of all trades! I've hired OrCo for two projects, tiling my sunporch as well as my kitchen and dining room. The sunporch was quick and painless, and their master tiler whipped it out in a day. The kitchen was a bit more of a challenge given the age of my home, unlevel surfaces, and surprise layers of linoleum lurking below what we thought was the bottom layer of flooring. The OrCo brothers were consumate professionals despite these challenges, and by some miracle they were still able to finish the job on time. Honestly, I still don't know how they did it! I love my floors! It's been several weeks since they finished the work, and every morning when I step into my kitchen I look upon the results with joy. I don't know why I didn't contact OrCo sooner! The floor is level, the grout is holding up, and the floors sparkle when I walk in the room.
