SET Coffee had a decent amount of parking in front of the store. Although it is located in a large plaza, the stores next to it don't have a lot of foot traffic, from what I saw. Upon walking in, there was a long table to the left, full of people doing work on their laptops. We assumed that all the seats were taken. To our surprise, there were more spots in the back area of the coffee shop, with no one sitting there at all. It had dim lighting, aesthetic, fake olive trees, and a large mirror. The coffee barista taking our order was very nice, but we couldn't hear him at all. We ended up ordering their SET tonic and their SET latte. Their tonic was made with green plum, which is different than the common Yuzu. The turn around time for drinks was under five minutes. We brought out drinks to the back and took some photos. The seating arrangement was quite uncomfortable, although the seats had a purpose; you can sit and do work in numerous ways, giving creative room for comfortability. Yet, to sit normally, I don't imagine myself doing work there. The drinks weren't special and I felt as though I could get the same latte at a generic coffee shop. Nothing about my latte made it stand out or memorable. The coffee is strong, which is different than other lattes. I can say I'm slightly disappointed. Nevertheless, it's an aesthetically pleasing shop, but I don't expect myself to come back for another visit.

5/1/2026 SET-SPANNER I came to Set to try this drink. I just wanted to try something new and different and sadly, this drink did not deliver. It did have a strong hazelnut coffee flavor right off the bat, but it all went downhill from there. The injeolmi cold foam on top did taste like soybean powder, but flavor was not as strong as I hoped. And because of the nature of the soybean powder, it was grainy in texture. When mixed all together, it vaguely tastes like biscoff coffee. But the injeolmi cold foam was so thick and some parts of it sat at the bottom of the drink and texture felt disgusting as you drink it. I did mix it, but still, it was just not what I wanted as an overall texture and mouthfeel. Given the name, it seems it's their signature drink too. There were pastries sold as well, but most of it were sold out. Since we also had to pay in cash because their computers were down, I decided against purchasing anything more. CUSTOMER SERVICE Just as I got there in the late afternoon, there were so many factors working against my experience at Set, the computer system was down, so they could not accept credit cards, so only cash was accepted. They apologized for it, but that meant the wait time was much longer than expected. Another factor, it seems they only had one barista working today, which made the wait time super long! Then, I was the very last person to receive my drink out of everyone who came in the afternoon. I believe there were people who came after me that got their drinks before me, which contributed to an even unhappier experience. So many negative factors contributed to my negative experience. And then... the coffee. SEATS/ AMBIANCE Right at the front, there's three long communal tables at the front and most of the seats were taken. In the back there are more seats and tables. But it was in disarray. It was messy and disorganized. Wish staff took care of this space better. Slow jams, R&B playing in the background really loudly. The music selections were good, just LOUD. PARKING Located at an outdoor mall, so there's plenty of parking all around. Will I be back? Most likely not.

Ordered togo coffee on 5/9/26 around 10:30 am. There was a wait for this coffee shop. Even if you have to wait, you are waiting in the shade so that's not too bad. Ambiance: Chill spot to sit down and just hang out. I like their back area. Pretty cool. Parking: plenty of parking Drink: Kyoto Cold Brew - 4/5, not too strong of coffee flavor and light. Worth trying just once, but I want to try their other flavors next time

I had a below average experience at SET Coffee (Chino). I ordered the Set-Spanner ($7.25). It's Injeolmi Cold Foam, Espresso, and Hazelnut. The drink will wake you up. However, it tastes like watered down, gritty, nutty protein powder. It tastes poorly prepared and frugal. I arrived at SET Coffee (Chino) on Monday (around 9:16AM). Parking is easy. The lot is very big. Staff is friendly and welcoming. However, it's strange how I had to tell Staff that their charged price didn't match the menu price (ex: cash register said $7.50 while menu said $7.25). Staff immediately apologized and fixed the issue; Staff explained that they didn't update the system yet.... My drink took about two minutes. Fast. As mentioned, I disliked the Set-Spanner ($7.25). It all tastes like budget cuts. The ice is HUGE and PACKED; the coffee flavor is heavily watered down; and the prevailing flavor is bitter nutty grits. Fortunately, the enduring caffeine has utility. Thankfully, SET Coffee (Chino) is a study/work paradise. I can easily understand desperate college students using this place. There's about eight electrical outlets! AMAZING!! There's also customer internet with password; details are written on the counter's barrier in white ink. The location also has an attractive hidden backroom which has cute greenery and sleek reflective decor. The utility of the space is what saves this experience. In addition, SET Coffee (Chino) has a self-service water station. There's also a gender neutral restroom, and I enjoyed the smooth, rhythmic music. The location is also clean and well-ventilated. Overall, SET Coffee (Chino) is a HUGE disappointment. It's not awful, but in good conscience, I won't ever recommend this location as is. In the end, I left SET Coffee (Chino) with a fake smile and a bitter heart. 2.9 out of 5

Saw this just opened recently so decided to check them out. It is a nice looking coffee spot. Interior looks pretty cool. Besides the main area they also have some more seating in the back. I ordered the Strawberry Fizzy Lemonade. Drink came out so quick. The staffs were chill and friendly. I enjoyed my drink. It was good and refreshing.

i tried their matcha latte with ube cold foam and WOWW, i HIGHLY recommend. the drink itself was a nice balance of the matcha taste + sweetness (the cold foam was soooo good). the workers there were super sweet with diligent service, and the vibe of the cafe was sooo clean and aesthetic. there was decent amount of seating for studying and overall, i highly recommend.

There's a lot of hype around Set with lines outside the door and for good reason. In a boom of coffee shops in the Chino/Chino Hills area, I keep coming back for the Set latte. Always bustling with people studying, talking, or just Vibing, you really feel a vibe inside that's enjoyable and relaxing.

Right atmosphere, A1 coffee, efficient service. What more can you ask for from a new coffee shop making its debut in Chino Hills? Was lucky enough to check this spot out before their grand opening day. Came back during the actual day and line was reminiscent of Black Friday. But that really just speaks to the anticipation and success of a well thought out space. I don't know if I can ever explore more of their menu because I'm still stuck on their Set Spanner. Congrats to the crew! I'll be back as a repeat customer.

Honestly loved the vibe here. It's minimal, clean, and feels like one of those spots you accidentally end up staying longer than planned. The drinks were solid, really smooth and not overly sugary like a lot of places. You can tell there's some intention behind their menu and flavors. Also appreciated how quick everything was without feeling rushed. Staff was nice, and the overall experience just felt easy. Would definitely come back for a chill coffee run or to sit and catch up with a friend.

Amazing quality, everything was super tasty and honestly just really well done. The set-spanner is out of this world and easily one of the best drinks I've had. The ube matcha is the best matcha I've ever tried, the flavor is so smooth and different in a good way. The shop itself is super unique and the layout is amazing. They have a nice study area if you want to get work done and also a more social community space which is a cool balance. Their merch is actually really high quality too, I ended up buying a jacket and I'm really happy with it. Staff and owners are some of the best, super welcoming and you can tell they care about what they're building. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

Set coffee is an amazing place for your coffee desires. I loved learning about the backstory of their name being "Set" the number 3 in Korean for the three founders of this shop. The decor inside is relaxing for you and your party to unplug and enjoy each other's company. It is a delight to be inside with great music that sets you in a pleasant mood. There is a new back room area for bigger groups or even events. The line was out the door when we arrived, but the staff moved so fast that we barely waited. The coffee was very good. We ordered all three of the signature drinks, and the Set Spanner was the star of the show. It was crafted after a Korean rice cake dish, and they nailed it to perfection. The tonic coffee was also great. I am a fan of sparkling water so it was great for me. The pastries are also good. The salt bread with garlic cream is a must try.

SET Coffee is one of the most beautiful coffee shops I've ever been to. The front seating area has beautiful and large tables with bright lighting but the area in the back is warm and homey, like a comfort space. I felt like I was transported to a completely different space with their aesthetic & high ceilings. Service was friendly and welcoming upon entry and the space was remarkably clean. Drinks are reasonably priced, not too much ice and appropriate sizing yay! Set Spanner (8/10): The coffee in this was sooo yum. The cold foam really does taste like injeolmi haha which unfamiliar (at least in coffee for me) but pleasant! Set Latte (7.5/10): Liked the cinnamon in this! It wasn't too overbearing, complimented the brown sugar and honey very well. Reminded me a little of a Spanish Latte. Matcha Einspanner (8/10): Decent matcha, I wouldn't say my favorite but I would still get it again. I like their cold foam it wasn't too thick and was delicious. Strawberry Matcha (8.5/10): Whatever they use for the strawberry flavor complimented the matcha taste well and was very refreshing. Excited to see this place flourish in Chino and would make the drive for another visit!

Service is 5 star and fast. Coffee is perfect to my liking, not too acidic. Each latte I have tried has a perfect blend of sweet and you can still taste the coffee. I hate too sweet lattes lol. Really wanted to support this new coffee shop, I had been here a few times but today I ordered two iced lattes, one tasted great, and the other tasted pretty burnt. I politely asked if my drink could be remade. The barista with red hair was rude and told me I "didn't know what real coffee tasted like," which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. It's disappointing because I genuinely wanted to support a new local business, but customer service matters and needs to be improved. read more

order: matcha einspanner garlic cream cheese salt bread highlights: -spacious and inviting interior - matcha is earthy and but nutty, I can tell they use a decently good matcha quality here :3 - the matcha is sweet, balanced; and on the thinner side (not super thick) but yummy overall - the salt bread is very flavorful with notes of garlic with the occasional flakey salt; very well done cons: - a bit pricey but I think that's just how it is nowadays so not something that bothers me too much; defo something to get for a nice treat in the morning overall: great experience, good matcha, great bread, would defo visit again! We visited during their soft opening and was really excited to try their drinks. TBH I was extra excited to see the interior because here in Inland Empire we don't see a lot of nice coffee spots like we do in LA or OC. The space has a clean, minimal feel. It's simple but thoughtfully put together. Theres a nice communal table in front to do some work. In the back there's ample seating - perfect area to grab some matcha and catch up with friends. We tried two drinks: Matcha Eispanner and Ube Matcha - The standout for me was the Ube coconut matcha. smooth, vibrant, and not too sweet. I could really taste the Ube and the coconut balance which is hard to get right. I'm really hoping it'll stay on the menu permanently and not just for the soft opening specials. The owners and staff were very friendly. We were able to meet the owner's wife and another owner's mom- such nice ladies. They told us all about how the business came into fruition. So excited to have them in town and we cannot wait to try the rest of the delicious drinks on the menu. :) read more

I'm really sorry, but seems that anything that is promoted by TikTok seems to be hyped up and get long lines of sheeps like me to go and try The coffee is completely tasteless and taste more like milk plus hazelnut syrup. The Uber Ma matcha sold out by 1 PM so I guess they didn't make enough ingredient . The Matcha croissant was very bland, no much a taste at all so it's probably made with the cheaper baking powder. I don't think I will be going back read more

I got their matcha latte here! This is definitely one of the most affordable coffee places in Chino. The matcha was a little milky, but it was enjoyable still. A beautifully designed, inviting space with an incredible drink menu and genuinely warm staff. Seating is also plentiful (with more on the way!) Love this spot! As soon as you come in you can feel how much love was poured into creating the space. The ambience, decor, music selection, and curated options are all amazing. Everything on the menu looked amazing, hard to decide, but I went with their Set Latte which is inspired by korean hotteok. Absolutely delicious. The chocolate croissant was also so good. To top everything off, the service was amazing. Both girls working the counter Tuesday morning were so sweet and accomadating to any questions. Parking is also plentiful. :) read more

There's 3 things I always look for in a coffee shop & Set has it: consistency, quality of espresso, and the vibes. Consistency: I've gone 4 times to this coffee shop and each time my drinks are consistently made the same! I expect my lattes to be made the same every time and that's what keeps me coming back. Quality of espresso: I've gone to other coffee shops to pay $7 and end up with a latte with sour espresso Set's espresso is always dialed in, rich and creamy! All their lattes have the perfect color, sweetness, and kick of coffee flavor. I recommend their Spanish latte and honey lavender lattes! Vibes: The baristas are nice & friendly! The space itself is warm and open. There are about 4 large tables with outlets at each table. There is additional seating in the back that is still under construction. Can't wait for it to open up! My fiancé and I were visiting family in the area and we heard about this soft opening so we decided to check it out! Usually whenever I check out a new coffee shop, I get a cortado to judge a few things: how well they dialed in their espressos, the quality of their beans and whether or not I can taste their notes, and how well they can ratio the milk with the espresso. Cortado was rock solid and its definitely gonna be my go to if i want something light and very coffee forward. I think I overheard from the owners that they use Jetty beans so you can count on a high quality coffee based drink from an Americano to lattes. My fiancé ordered one of their signature drinks aka the Set-Spanner and she thought it was great too! I took a few sips of it and I have to agree. Think of it as a coffee version of leftover cinnamon toast crunch milk with some nice sweet cream on top. For me, you'll have some places that just add way too much sweetner/other fillers that the actual taste of of the coffee is just masked or there isn't enough sweetner/flavor to where it just falls flat. They hit this one right in that sweet spot of just right. All in all, I'm stoked to have a new shop in Chino and I cant wait to try more of their drinks! read more

it was my second time coming to this new place in the last two days, i got the set spanner both times i've been here and a chocolate croissant. the set spanner is good for anyone that likes not so sweet coffee it's really good! the chocolate croissant was so flaky and soft it's what every chocolate croissant should be like!! what really set it in my mind that i will be back was the fact that the guy at the register remembered me from the other day, such a small detail but that's what really matters to any new coming customers. the service was super quick both days and consistent coffee overall!! read more

This spot is great. Really enjoy the Kyoto cold brew. It sells out quick so I try to get there when I can get it but they also have a really good normal cold brew. I do like their nutty espresso drink as well since I usually only like a hint of sweetness and not to overpower; it is a really nice touch. Their Korean espresso drink is amazing as well. I enjoy coming here a few times a week. They have great coffee. read more

I'm obsessed. The coffee scene here was abysmal, but SET came in with amazing drinks and friendly service! I crave the set spanner all the time now. The subtle injeolmi flavor is chef's kiss. It's not often that a cafe has a drink that I constantly crave, but the uniqueness of the set spanner sets it apart from so many other drinks. Highly highly recommend. read more

Came here because it was new and wanted to try their drinks from social media. Should've stayed in my local Fullerton area. The set latte drink was ok but the set spanner drink was not good. There's like no sweetness in the drink. 1-10 sweetness, dutch bros is a 10, Starbucks macchiato is 8, then the spanner is a 3. I know it's made with injeolmi but there needs to be some sweetness and it's so grainy like I wanted to cough each time I took a drink. Both drinks had too much milk, so you can't even taste the espresso when the beans are supposed to be their selling point. A few hours later, my stomach was not well and I didn't have fun in the bathroom. Maybe the cream top was bad because my wife who had the latte was fine. I've drank 2 stagger drinks within 3 hours of each drink and I've been fine so it makes me think something was wrong with that drink. read more

I came here for the first time today and immediately loved the ambiance and interior design. I ordered the matcha einspanner with oat milk, and it tasted amazing! You could really tell the quality was there. The employees were also really friendly and accommodating, which made the experience better. I drank matcha before it became super trendy and I was disappointed with this matcha. There was little flavor and my sister's chai was not that good either. Went there because I wanted to try their limited edition drink, Ube Coco Matcha. Guess what? It was sold out for the day - this was around 1:30pm. You would think they would make enough to last the day since it was a limited edition drink, guess not :/ I didn't want to waste the time I spent in line so I ordered 2 Matcha Einspanner matcha, 1 regular (for my sister) and 1 50% sweet (for me) - both less ice. They prepared it in a counter in front of you at the pick up area. The girl basically filled both cups with ice to the brim (I guess they considered that less ice) so I told her I ordered less ice so she dumped out some ice from both cups. I would give my drink a 2/5. It tasted watered down (I drank it right away so it was not because the ice melted), very milky (too milky), with a hint of matcha flavor. The 2 stars was because of the matcha quality they used. I tasted my sister's Einspanner (100% sweet) and it tasted like my 50% sweet so I'm not sure if they adjusted my drink to be 50%. Since there are several matcha spots opening around the area, let's see how this place will do to maintain a regular flow of customers. read more

I came last Saturday with my fiance and some friends to check out the new coffee and to do some work. It was pretty busy when we first came in and we were excited to see their menu. The cafe was cute and clean. I got the Set-Spanner and it was so good! My best compliment to anything related to coffee or dessert is "not too sweet" and I felt like this drink nailed it. The latte tasted good without having to rely on the cream. Definitely will be coming back to try their other drinks! read more

Let me save everyone some money - don't believe the hype. There may be long lines, but their drinks taste like milk and a bunch of sugar. It's our first time here today, and we were both truly disappointed. We got the matcha einspanner and coffee, and I can tell they were being cheap with their matcha portion (think Starbucks). I can name at least 1 other coffee shop within the 10-15 mins drive that makes better drinks for around the same price. read more

Love! New favorite coffee shop in the area! The waiting space is small almost nonexistent so hopefully there is a seat you can sit at and wait but I honestly don't mind! They get the coffee out so fast that it doesn't even matter! Staff is friendly and chatty and they make a fantastic latte which is the most important part! There is a little playground outside of their shop too which my daughter loves so that makes the trio easier to convince her to come!! Will be a daily occurrence for our fam from here on out!! read more

Her coworker, instead of providing a refund, a young rude girl with stickers on her face, proceeded to give me attitude and blame it on my diet (?) because I ordered THEIR vegan avocado toast. She seemed suspicious of me saying their food made me sick. She also said she'd been working here for 4 years and never had issues with their avocado. Like I'm just telling her what happened.. but she felt the need to get defensive and blame it on me. Such rudeness and unprofessionalism instead of acknowledging that something may have gone wrong with the food, provide a remedy or offer an apology. The food didn't even taste that good and my friend wasn't impressed with his food either. Do these young people not understand the meaning of customer service? If not, don't work in customer service. Having basic decency and not acting like a brat would be a good start.

I went today on a Thursday mid day and their was zero parking. I had to park by target after doing three loops. The menu was like any other coffee shop really. I ordered their specialty matcha not even sure the name of it but I had to pay extra for oat milk. I thought we were past those days already. When I was serve it comes with no lid which was offsetting because you have to go to a separate station to put your own lid on. The cup was basic with no logo and the serve large ice cubes in the drink. The taste was like a homemade matcha. I was expecting something different since it was their signature drink. Also for $8+ the drink size is very small. Customer service was average nothing beyond stood out. Just took my order and that was it. It was really busy inside and all the tables we're filled with people working on their laptops. It was pretty noisy in there and didn't really feel relaxing. Definitely not a quiet place to work/study. The interior was cute and felt open with the white walls and food finishing. Unfortunately, I would not go back here.
