Matcha latte, mango sticky rice matcha, ube matcha latte

I've delayed my visit to this cafe bc I was hesitant to try their matcha when they first opened but alas the time has come I saw a promotion from Instagram for their Mango sticky rice matcha and was intrigued by it. Cup size is small but HOLY MOLYYYY it is so good!!! Need to get another cup ASAP Interior is very nice and there's plenty of parking

We got here early morning on Monday and there were plenty of tables available. I ordered the Set-ie (Setty) which is a short latte with vanilla cold foam, agave, and espresso. I could hardly taste the agave but the balance of the cream and espresso made it just the right sweetness. I opted to change the oat milk to regular though so it was a traditional latte. The cold foam is thin though so it dissolved quickly into the latte. I also tried the Set Latte which closely resembled a Spanish latte. I would opt for the Set Spanner next time because it wasn't a standout item as a signature drink. The tables were very large and spacious which is nice for study sessions. They also offer salt bread and other pastries too which is good if you get hungry.

DELICIOUSSSSS COFFEE!! On our way home from a trip to LA, we stopped by Best Buy to check out a TV we had our eye on. Once we were done, we decided to look for a local coffee shop, and that's when SET Coffee popped up on my Google search. I'm so glad it did! The moment we walked in, the space felt incredibly charming and inviting. The best way I can describe it is like bringing the outdoors inside. It had such a cozy atmosphere with natural tones, minimalist décor, and a calming vibe that made me want to stay awhile. I asked the barista for a recommendation, and they absolutely delivered. The coffee was so delicious that I finished it way too fast and immediately wished I had ordered another one. If you're looking for a great cup of coffee in a beautiful, relaxing space, SET Coffee is definitely worth a visit. I'll absolutely be stopping by again whenever I'm in the area!

Ambiance: located in a busy shopping plaza, it's unassuming but a pretty large cafe. They offer plenty of seating, bench and regular tables front of house. They have wifi but you have to ask for the password. The service was good, the baristas are nice and conversational. Food: they offer a variety of pastries, I saw a kimchi spam croissant and they have 3 options for salt bread (sweet, garlic cream cheese, and plain) costing between $4-5 Drinks: I ordered the espresso Tonic ($7) which was pretty good, they add their green plum syrup. Parking: plenty of lot parking out front.

Love place because of the drinks but specially the interior!! There's a lot of seating with wifi that didn't really work for me though, so you can probably study here~ It's super modern with cute seating both in the front and back. I got the Set-Spanner which was so good and sweet but not overbearingly sweet and my friend got the tonic which she liked! I'd come back here just to study or even read a book!

All Set and ready to go! So excited that the coffee scene in Chino and Chino Hills is exploding with new shops, and Set was first on my list. Came here on a Saturday afternoon to get some personal work done, and this cafe was packed! Definitely a little of a squeeze here, but as others have mentioned, there is a couple of communal tables (with plugs along the wall!) and also a lovely back room with stools and benches for more of a social vibe. By afternoon, most of their pastries were out, so opted just for my usual matcha latte half sweet. The matcha grade was nice and earthy but a little powdery, not as smooth as some of the other matchas have had, but still good! Set is in a big plaza with plenty of parking throughout, but at the specific section Set is located, the parking was pretty full. I lucked out and snagged a spot. So just beware that during peak hours, you might have to walk a little. I'll definitely be back here to get more work done, and hopefully next time I'll get to grab a pastry :)

Went in on a weekday morning, wasn't too packed but there was definitely limited seating. A few people were there with laptops and working. The menu has a bit of everything. It was earlier in the day so we just wanted something simple. Opted for their Set Latte with no cinnamon, a Cold Brew, and a Salt Bread. Staff was great, and our drinks were prepared quickly. Set Latte- simple, definitely a lighter drink, but good. It was an ok drink. I wish the espresso was stronger. Cold Brew- also a light drink, not too strong. Salt Bread- they have different options but I believe we got the garlic version. It was small but delicious. Perfect garlic level. Buttery. I wish they were bigger for the price but a nice little treat. I think I would come here for my second coffee of the day. I prefer a stronger tasting drink in the morning (first coffee). But overall, the place was clean, bright, music level was not overbearing. Everyone was nice. Plenty of parking.

Seems like we went during nonpeak time which was around noon. It's a pretty cool layout, the front has desks people can work on computers and then if you walk past the bathrooms it's a more secluded area to hangout without tables and more so a long bench lining the walls. Coffee was cool, the barista helped with understanding what one of the cold foams was.

First time there. so for context, it was a monday morning at around 7:55 am. No line. I ordered a Set Spanner, an Ube Coco Matcha, and a chocolate croissant. Place is extremely clean and welcoming. There were three staff members behind the counter and they all greeted me when I walked in. Ube Coco Matcha is delicious. It actually tastes like Ube (and not just some purple foam and then calling it ube). The Set Spanner is also delicious. I had to head to work, but wanted to check the place out. The backroom feels really nice. It just felt like a good place to go and study or work. Will definitely come back. Great place.

SET Coffee had a decent amount of parking in front of the store. Although it is located in a large plaza, the stores next to it don't have a lot of foot traffic, from what I saw. Upon walking in, there was a long table to the left, full of people doing work on their laptops. We assumed that all the seats were taken. To our surprise, there were more spots in the back area of the coffee shop, with no one sitting there at all. It had dim lighting, aesthetic, fake olive trees, and a large mirror. The coffee barista taking our order was very nice, but we couldn't hear him at all. We ended up ordering their SET tonic and their SET latte. Their tonic was made with green plum, which is different than the common Yuzu. The turn around time for drinks was under five minutes. We brought out drinks to the back and took some photos. The seating arrangement was quite uncomfortable, although the seats had a purpose; you can sit and do work in numerous ways, giving creative room for comfortability. Yet, to sit normally, I don't imagine myself doing work there. The drinks weren't special and I felt as though I could get the same latte at a generic coffee shop. Nothing about my latte made it stand out or memorable. The coffee is strong, which is different than other lattes. I can say I'm slightly disappointed. Nevertheless, it's an aesthetically pleasing shop, but I don't expect myself to come back for another visit.

5/1/2026 SET-SPANNER I came to Set to try this drink. I just wanted to try something new and different and sadly, this drink did not deliver. It did have a strong hazelnut coffee flavor right off the bat, but it all went downhill from there. The injeolmi cold foam on top did taste like soybean powder, but flavor was not as strong as I hoped. And because of the nature of the soybean powder, it was grainy in texture. When mixed all together, it vaguely tastes like biscoff coffee. But the injeolmi cold foam was so thick and some parts of it sat at the bottom of the drink and texture felt disgusting as you drink it. I did mix it, but still, it was just not what I wanted as an overall texture and mouthfeel. Given the name, it seems it's their signature drink too. There were pastries sold as well, but most of it were sold out. Since we also had to pay in cash because their computers were down, I decided against purchasing anything more. CUSTOMER SERVICE Just as I got there in the late afternoon, there were so many factors working against my experience at Set, the computer system was down, so they could not accept credit cards, so only cash was accepted. They apologized for it, but that meant the wait time was much longer than expected. Another factor, it seems they only had one barista working today, which made the wait time super long! Then, I was the very last person to receive my drink out of everyone who came in the afternoon. I believe there were people who came after me that got their drinks before me, which contributed to an even unhappier experience. So many negative factors contributed to my negative experience. And then... the coffee. SEATS/ AMBIANCE Right at the front, there's three long communal tables at the front and most of the seats were taken. In the back there are more seats and tables. But it was in disarray. It was messy and disorganized. Wish staff took care of this space better. Slow jams, R&B playing in the background really loudly. The music selections were good, just LOUD. PARKING Located at an outdoor mall, so there's plenty of parking all around. Will I be back? Most likely not.

Stopped by after a target run to get coffee. Parking is plentiful and easy. The inside is pretty spacious because they also have a back room with lots of seating. Service was great too. Tried the set-ie (vanilla cold foam, oat milk, agave, espresso). Loved the drink so much! Can't wait to try the other drinks next time.

Love this spot! As soon as you come in you can feel how much love was poured into creating the space. The ambience, decor, music selection, and curated options are all amazing. Everything on the menu looked amazing, hard to decide, but I went with their Set Latte which is inspired by korean hotteok. Absolutely delicious. The chocolate croissant was also so good. To top everything off, the service was amazing. Both girls working the counter Tuesday morning were so sweet and accomadating to any questions. Parking is also plentiful. :) read more

SET Coffee was one of the stops during my coffee tour around the Chino Hills area. The interior has a bright plywood style wood tone, high ceilings, and additional seating toward the back, which makes it a comfortable place to sit and have a conversation. It doesn't necessarily feel like the design was overly curated or heavily invested in, but the spaciousness of the shop gives it a nice atmosphere. After having a few disappointing coffee experiences recently, I didn't come in with high expectations. But the male staff member who helped me was friendly and gave good explanations. You could tell he was really trying his best, which I appreciated. Also, while it wasn't the absolute best coffee I've ever had, the basic coffee quality was solid. It felt like the coffee was being made by someone experienced possibly a manager, owner, or a skilled barista. These days, a lot of places open under the name of "specialty coffee", but put most of their focus on very sweet drinks or matcha based drinks. Personally, I think if a place calls itself a coffee shop, the quality of the basic coffee still needs to reach a certain level. In that sense, SET Coffee felt like one of the few shops in this area that still respects the basics. It's definitely a place I would visit again to try more of their coffee. read more

Service is 5 star and fast. Coffee is perfect to my liking, not too acidic. Each latte I have tried has a perfect blend of sweet and you can still taste the coffee. I hate too sweet lattes lol. Really wanted to support this new coffee shop, I had been here a few times but today I ordered two iced lattes, one tasted great, and the other tasted pretty burnt. I politely asked if my drink could be remade. The barista with red hair was rude and told me I "didn't know what real coffee tasted like," which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. It's disappointing because I genuinely wanted to support a new local business, but customer service matters and needs to be improved. read more

There's 3 things I always look for in a coffee shop & Set has it: consistency, quality of espresso, and the vibes. Consistency: I've gone 4 times to this coffee shop and each time my drinks are consistently made the same! I expect my lattes to be made the same every time and that's what keeps me coming back. Quality of espresso: I've gone to other coffee shops to pay $7 and end up with a latte with sour espresso Set's espresso is always dialed in, rich and creamy! All their lattes have the perfect color, sweetness, and kick of coffee flavor. I recommend their Spanish latte and honey lavender lattes! Vibes: The baristas are nice & friendly! The space itself is warm and open. There are about 4 large tables with outlets at each table. There is additional seating in the back that is still under construction. Can't wait for it to open up! Workers were rude, didn't acknowledge stayed silent the whole transaction girl in the white top and guy in striped t shirt with glasses instead of saying exuse me just stares, coffee and matcha were watered down didnt taste like anything and there was foam residue all over the outside of the cup, people were walking in and out of the bar area and touching everything without even washing their hands, literally saw a guy come from outside straight to the drink making station touching things. My fiancé and I were visiting family in the area and we heard about this soft opening so we decided to check it out! Usually whenever I check out a new coffee shop, I get a cortado to judge a few things: how well they dialed in their espressos, the quality of their beans and whether or not I can taste their notes, and how well they can ratio the milk with the espresso. Cortado was rock solid and its definitely gonna be my go to if i want something light and very coffee forward. I think I overheard from the owners that they use Jetty beans so you can count on a high quality coffee based drink from an Americano to lattes. My fiancé ordered one of their signature drinks aka the Set-Spanner and she thought it was great too! I took a few sips of it and I have to agree. Think of it as a coffee version of leftover cinnamon toast crunch milk with some nice sweet cream on top. For me, you'll have some places that just add way too much sweetner/other fillers that the actual taste of of the coffee is just masked or there isn't enough sweetner/flavor to where it just falls flat. They hit this one right in that sweet spot of just right. All in all, I'm stoked to have a new shop in Chino and I cant wait to try more of their drinks! read more

The service was amazing! I usually go for less sugary options when it comes to coffee. Originally I wanted an iced latte with almond milk--and sugar free vanilla. The cashier recommended me macadamia milk instead (not sure if it's on the menu) and I'm so glad he did. It wasn't too sweet but just enough. read more

My wife and I tried this place for the first time earlier this morning. I got the Set-Spanner and my wife got the Strawberry Matcha and the garlic cream cheese salt bread. The interior was nice and we liked the ambiance. Baristas were friendly. For taste, I really liked the Set-Spanner and the garlic cream salt bread was also very good. I would rate both of those 5/5, however both my wife and I did not like the strawberry matcha as much. It was very average, 3/5. It tasted heavily of sugar and milk. The strawberry flavor was minimal and the matcha was also very mild. Overall, I would say this is a solid 4/5. read more

it was my second time coming to this new place in the last two days, i got the set spanner both times i've been here and a chocolate croissant. the set spanner is good for anyone that likes not so sweet coffee it's really good! the chocolate croissant was so flaky and soft it's what every chocolate croissant should be like!! what really set it in my mind that i will be back was the fact that the guy at the register remembered me from the other day, such a small detail but that's what really matters to any new coming customers. the service was super quick both days and consistent coffee overall!! read more

I absolutely love SET. Not only do they have great coffee and Matcha, but an amazing barista experience. I'm a firm believer that service and product go hand-in-hand and they don't lack in any of those departments. I've been coming regularly and they always recognize me/ my drinks, ask about my mom, and always have small conversations. I recently moved away and came back to visit and the same service was there. I was honestly shocked that they remembered. The team and the coffee make the space so welcoming. read more

This spot is great. Really enjoy the Kyoto cold brew. It sells out quick so I try to get there when I can get it but they also have a really good normal cold brew. I do like their nutty espresso drink as well since I usually only like a hint of sweetness and not to overpower; it is a really nice touch. Their Korean espresso drink is amazing as well. I enjoy coming here a few times a week. They have great coffee. read more

I absolutely love the matcha here!! I'm not a huge fan of cold foam/cream top drinks but there's is a good balance of sweetness and compliments the drink very well. I've been coming here since they opened a few months ago and the drinks don't dissapoint. I tried their double matcha today and the quality is quite comparable to the matcha spots in LA. With the rise of a lot of coffee shops in the Chino area I do think Set Coffee is one of the best. read more

Came here because it was new and wanted to try their drinks from social media. Should've stayed in my local Fullerton area. The set latte drink was ok but the set spanner drink was not good. There's like no sweetness in the drink. 1-10 sweetness, dutch bros is a 10, Starbucks macchiato is 8, then the spanner is a 3. I know it's made with injeolmi but there needs to be some sweetness and it's so grainy like I wanted to cough each time I took a drink. Both drinks had too much milk, so you can't even taste the espresso when the beans are supposed to be their selling point. A few hours later, my stomach was not well and I didn't have fun in the bathroom. Maybe the cream top was bad because my wife who had the latte was fine. I've drank 2 stagger drinks within 3 hours of each drink and I've been fine so it makes me think something was wrong with that drink. read more

I came here for the first time today and immediately loved the ambiance and interior design. I ordered the matcha einspanner with oat milk, and it tasted amazing! You could really tell the quality was there. The employees were also really friendly and accommodating, which made the experience better. It's the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your drink, rather than just grabbing something to go. I'd definitely come back! read more

It is cleaner but some of the produce and fruit were not as fresh as the DB location. Also, there was an entire fridge aisle of alcohol drinks! That sure was a sight to see, since I do not ever recall seeing that in the DB location, or at least not that close to the entrance, let alone across from the produce and fruit. We did see a worker throwing out prepared food, so they must be clearing out already prepared food halfway through the day or something because we were surprised as it was still early afternoon. We do not recommend purchasing the prepped sweet potato here as they are dry and hard, not as fresh as the DB location. We were able to find what we needed and were on our way. The lines to the cashier are very short so it is convenient, as compared to the lines at the DB location, along with the always busy parking lot. This location is a bit smaller than others and also a bit pricier, probably due to the location. Overall, it is convenient if one is in the area and need a few items, but this would not be my main H Mart to shop at.

I went today on a Thursday mid day and their was zero parking. I had to park by target after doing three loops. The menu was like any other coffee shop really. I ordered their specialty matcha not even sure the name of it but I had to pay extra for oat milk. I thought we were past those days already. When I was serve it comes with no lid which was offsetting because you have to go to a separate station to put your own lid on. The cup was basic with no logo and the serve large ice cubes in the drink. The taste was like a homemade matcha. I was expecting something different since it was their signature drink. Also for $8+ the drink size is very small. Customer service was average nothing beyond stood out. Just took my order and that was it. It was really busy inside and all the tables we're filled with people working on their laptops. It was pretty noisy in there and didn't really feel relaxing. Definitely not a quiet place to work/study. The interior was cute and felt open with the white walls and food finishing. Unfortunately, I would not go back here. The place is pretty clean, employees were overall friendly and personable with their customers, and I was able to focus for a few hours to read and work on personal planning. Every drink I've tried has been overly sweet, even when I specifically ask for reduced sweetness. The sweetness tends to overpower the coffee, making it difficult to appreciate the actual flavor of the drink. The prices are also fairly high, and for what you pay, I expected a better balance of flavors. I don't mind paying more for a great cup of coffee, but the drinks I've had haven't justified the cost.

The café has a religious theme throughout the space, which gives it a unique atmosphere. Overall, I think it has a lot of potential, especially because of the welcoming owner and comfortable seating, but I'd love to see more consistency with the drinks and a lower music volume.

You can find parking on the street, or you can park in the lot. There isn't a parking meter anymore, so I'm not sure what the city guidelines are for payment, but your first two hours parking there are free! When walking towards the cafe, you will see a sign for a pub. You can walk inside and turn towards the right. The cafe and baristas are located towards the very back! We ended up ordering a tonic and a banana cold brew. They also had food items! We had chosen their breakfast burrito. Their coffee is strong and you can feel the caffeine. Yet, the sweetness is perfect and can mask your actual caffeine intake! It's amazing how they can do both. Their burrito was very savory and delicious as well. It's always quick and clean at this cafe. The baristas are always sweet. My fiancé and I do come here to do work, and their WiFi is decent, too.
