I absolutely love this location. It has a clean professional feel. They keep their front area clean and cool toned. The staff here is amazing. I have been to other laser locations, and the staff here is 10x more knowledgeable and kind. They really make you comfortable while you're just wide open zapping your fuzz away. They use the best technology here in which they blast cold hair on the focus area so that you barely feel the heat and can take a higher laser level for the best results. they have an awesome groupon deal online, and I recommend since they only allow you to use on groupon there, to purchase the deal for the large area (6 session for 3 large areas). You can see the list online to know what they consider a small, medium, and large area. If you have already use groupon, or will not. Then I suggest booking the "10 minute touchup" allowing them to zap anywhere on your body that you want up to 10 minutes, for $60. I also recommend due the the high popularity of this location (PLEASE OPEN MORE LOCATIONS) that you pre-book your appointments 3x out at least. They are so busy they are usually booked 2 months in advance, so pre-schedule all your procedures!! read more

I transferred to this location from another Sev, due to it being closer to my home. Very busy parking lot, but the second you step foot inside the shop, you forget the hectic world for just a second. This was very modern, chic, and the perfect mix of black, gray, and white throughout the store. You truly feel important as soon as you walk in. I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome when I entered the store. I was then prompted to check in via the ipad, which is great and so progressive. This saves everyone time. I had an 11:15, but got there early enough to be taken back at 11:05. Veronica was my nurse and she did a great job. She walked me through every step, was thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. I've been to Sev plenty of times and I'm usually overly satisfied with the service... until my last visit! I went in for laser hair removal on the chin as well as Brazilian. The young lady who did my treatment was very nice and the Brazilian went well. The chin not so well... nowhere near well. For starters, for reason that are unknown, she lasers the side of my face thinking I'm there for upper lip and for two my skin is severely burnt after the service. Usually places give you privacy to undress and get settled in with a medical paper blanket over your body to make you feel a little bit more comfortable before having to reveal your private parts to someone. Usually these technicians step out of the room quickly so you can undress and get ready. But this person stays in the room with you while you are undressing and they stay in the room with you when you are finished and when you put your pants back on. That's so weird to me. I know these people are right up there in your private parts, but it still feels much more intimate to directly dress and undress in front of a stranger. During my very first laser appt, there were two girls in the room (one was new). They told me I could take off my pants and I actually asked them to leave the room. They did. But I have not asked that again. I will not be going back to Sev becasue of this. It's just so weird. There's no paper cover or anything. You're just out in the open. read more

Let me just preface this by saying that overall, I think SEV is decent and I have seen results in my laser hair removal. The interior is also beautifully set up. But in my opinion (and this is purely just that), New Look Skin Center does a better job than SEV and overall their system provides a lot more clarity. It's easier to make appointments through New Look's online system - for some reason, the SEV Irvine location doesn't have an online portal. I do also think New Look's laser is slightly more effective, although that's honestly something that can be overlooked and SEV's still does the job. For me, it's more that the staff at New Look is just a bit more upfront and clear about things, which I personally really value. I had a Groupon with SEV and I honestly felt kind of deceived/tricked into purchasing an extra session. I usually expect more clarity over important things like pricing and charges and what not, which New Look provided me with, and I was expecting the same from SEV. And I get it, SEV's average clientele is probably a lot wealthier than I am - they don't really need to do this because most of their customers may not be that nitpicky about their spending. But for someone like me - who a grad student and tryna pay for a million things (lmao the struggle is real), this kind of stuff matters a lot. read more

Today was my 4th session at SEV getting upper lip, chin and Brazilian done. I have gotten my underarms done from another med spa few years ago and had good results so I wanted to do aforementioned areas and scored a Groupon deal few months ago. I have tried waxing and shaving which always resulted in extremely painful ingrown hairs so I feel like laser is the best way for me to deal with unwanted hair. To my surprise, I noticed Brazilian area with at least 50% after just first session Even though I am still seeing hair in upper lip and chin but I am overall very happy with my experience with SEV. All the nurses are professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Last time I was there (just a week ago), I had to take my 23 month old daughter with me and the owner (one of the sisters I believe) totally WOWed me by just loving on my daughter and making us feel so welcomed from the minute we walked in. She even watched her for me while I went in for my session ( approximately 10 min). This place is clean, chic and gets the job done without wasting your time. I bought a groupon for this place and glad i did. took me 2 months to get an appointment because their so busy. When I did finally have my appointment everything paperwork was done electronically. thank god! when i arrived i was greeted by a friendly receptionist and technician. the wait wasn't long and the treatment was seriously like 10 minutes long and out the door i went. Seating is limited the reception area is small. Parking can be hard because it is shared with the other businesses. Overall, I will continue to come here until my treatments are over and who knows I may explore their other services once I am done with laser hair removal. read more

Very please to be able to come here during the pandemic. They are very careful and take every precaution possible, spaced seating inside, temperature checks and hand sanitizer must be used before entering the room. Appointments can be made months in advance. They are pretty booked. I've had a different nurse each visit and they have all been accommodating and friendly. Had my my 2nd treatment today with Kayla. 1st with Jennifer. Both are great. Kayla's was kind enough to ask if I wanted nostrils done since it's connected to upper lip, so appreciated that. As far as hair goes, after the first treatment and barely had any leg hair to shave for my 2nd treatment. The Brazilian also very small amount of growth. Upper lip I guess is more stubborn but Kayla asked and increased intensity as I was able to tolerate. I appreciate the timely appointment service and nice nurses. I got the Groupon promotion and was told the next available appointment would be on Dec 11th which is almost 4 months since the date of purchase. I had my husband call, not mentioning the Groupon promotion, and they can fit him in within a month. Do they have 2 different booking schedules depends on how much you pay? LOL. That is just wrong. Some people might be ok with that. I'm not. You need to treat PAYING customers equally. Plain and simple. I'm so disappointed. I paid for 5 treatments and got one free. After 5 treatments I am not seeing results. Sure, the hair has lessened a bit. But nothing like I would expect. I had other areas treated at other laser centers and it worked great after a few treatments. Not sure if Sev uses weaker lasers but I feel like I threw money in the trash. I gave 2 stars because the facility and nurses are nice. I have 3 friends who also had laser treatments here and have not seen results. I don't recommend this place at all. I had a test patch done at another center on my leg (which is one of the areas I had 5 treatments done at Sev) and it never grew back. I have done waxing and plucking forever! Bc as soon as I shave I get MASSIVE ingrowns. They are extremely painful bc my hair is THICK. I mean that girl you always compliment for having crazy eyebrows or excessively long horse hair that's me and true for every part of my body that grows hair. My armpit hair grew so thick and fast I would stumble same day from shaving and my skin that rubbed against it would go raw. I am TWO sessions in and I have only had to shave my underarms ONCE!!! it's a miracle, I get my Brazilian done as well and I can say my hair grows 80% slower. After several years of finding it very annoying that moments after I shave my underarms, you can already see the stubble when I raise my arms, I finally bit the bullet and decided to get my underarms hairs removed via lasers. SEV came recommended to me by my wax specialist, and I tell her every time I see her what great results I've gotten. For some context, I do have dark hair and naturally light skin, so I'm a prime candidate for laser hair removal. Basically, after 6 sessions across 6 months, I basically have no thick hair growth. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I have varying experiences depending on my specialist. My most recent experience (7th session) was great, since I had a lot of questions and my specialist was able to answer them well and give me recommendations based on my experience. However, during my 6th session, I was asking my specialist if I should do more or if I'm done. Having done some research, I knew that laser hair removal wasn't permanent. However, my specialist just told me that people usually have 2 full cycles (12 treatments total), and it honestly felt like she was just trying to get me to spend more money there. Nobody likes feeling like that! Fortunately, my following experience cleared up any questions that I had previously. As far as results go, I'm 100% happy and so glad I finally made it out to SEV. Love SEV! I started going when it first opened and it was extremely difficult to get an appointment as everyone was going for the groupon offered. After coming for a little over a year, it's still just as busy but more organized. My experience is only for LHR. The plaza is small so go during the off hours of lunch. Girls are friendly and nice at the counter. I went to Laser Away in Tustin and they push you so much to buy this or buy that. At SEV, I never felt pressure to buy any more services than I needed to plus it's so much more cheaper!!!!!! I had my Brazilian and underarm done and I can say after about 8 sessions my underarm hair is mostly gone. However, ladies should note that their southern area is a bit more stubborn to get rid of! Additionally, try not to have your appointment around your time of the month as you're more prone to sensitivity. I did this a couple of times and had to ask to lower the laser's power giving slower results. Highly recommend SEV. read more

After reading the reviews regarding the Groupon deal, I was wary of moving forward with Sev. Before purchasing the deal, I called Sev to make an appointment. I was asked if I was interested in the package deal and I declined. I did not mention the Groupon deal. They were able to book me 2 days later or 4 days later. While we were making the appointment, I mentioned it's a Groupon deal for 6 sessions and that I wanted to book all 6 now. The receptionist replied only up to 3 sessions. For the 2nd session, she replied the next appointment was in two months. I canceled all appointments and decided not to get the Groupon or go with Sev. It is clear they book Groupon appointments 2-3 months later and prioritize the non-Groupon appointments so please keep that in mind when purchasing the deal. read more

If you asked me what I thought of SEV when I first started getting treatments almost a year ago I would have sang their praises. Truly, I loved it. The areas I got treated started improving with fewer, thinner hairs growing in. After 2 or 3 treatments of only getting smaller areas treated I was excited to laser away all the pesky hairs in other areas so I bought another package. It wasn't cheap but I figured what's $250 to not have to shave for 5-10 years. Each time I went, my technicians were kind and didn't make me feel uncomfortable, which was a plus. If the team of technicians wasn't so nice I would have given a 1-star rating. I had seen such success from treatments 1-3. Hair growth slowed down and the hairs themselves were thinner. Until that stopped... I honestly have no idea what went wrong. The laser treatments stopped working. I used up all of my packages (6 treatments in 3 small areas plus 2 stand alone treatments to my sideburns, and 6 treatments to my bikini area.) If I were to go in for treatment now I swear I look like I've never gotten laser before in my life. My sideburns, upper lip, chin, underarms, and bikini area all have normal hair growth with normal hair thickness. Nothing has gotten any better. I'm beyond shocked because I was religious about post treatment care. I spent a lot of money to have the hair not grow back in those areas, so obviously I was extremely aware of what I did post treatment to make sure I didn't compromise my results. I gave it some time to see if I needed to be more patient. Nope, after 4 month I finally decided that my treatments at SEV were useless. I went to a different place where I had them laser my sideburns. Their laser hurt a ton but I saw an improvement after that one treatment, which makes me question the effectiveness of the laser that SEV uses. Part of me is skeptical that my laser intensity was never adjusted. If that's not the case I'm left to question if the laser was functional to begin with. Now, I'm not a doctor or laser specialist, but I don't think I have to be in order to suspect that something is off. Why on earth would I have normal hair growth after 6+ treatments in every single area I had treated? I'm beyond disappointed, out $500+, and don't look any better than I did a year ago. I haven't had the best luck when it comes to customer service from the SEV team either. The team is pleasant, but not particularly genuine or helpful. I called to ask for my digitally signed contract/waiver, to which the girl sassily said it was in my email. I told her the link was expired, so she rudely said she'd send it to me. I never received an email. Irritated, I stopped by the location and asked for a printed copy. I guess they don't keep the digital contracts in the file because she said she had to message someone else and have them send it to me. Not the end of the world, but still not very efficient. They didn't care to ask why I needed it or if they could help in any way. It's not a requirement, but someone asking for their legal documents should cue someone in that something is up. I really hope that SEV can do something to make this right. I don't want to have such a sour taste in my mouth especially because I REALLY wanted to like this place. read more

This was my first time getting laser treatments, so I cannot speak to hair removal results just yet. However, the location is super clean, very chic. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. My nurse performing the laser, Ellie, was super kind, and explained everything to me in detail. She even answered other questions I had about a friend of mine who wants laser done too. The treatment itself was LESS than 15 mins. Pain 1/10; just felt warm. The better you shave everything 24 hours prior, the less pain you feel. Overall I'm super thrilled with my experience thus far and can't wait for more treatments.
