I've done laser before, so this is just a touch up package for me, but their forms and appointment confirmation process is quick and seamless. When I made my initial appointment, the employee assisting me was amazing and thorough and that has been my experience each time I've had my appointment here. The new lasers now cover a larger area so the appointment is very quick. Parking is a small lot, with meters and the building is located on a corner so be aware. Scheduled 3 appointments for hair removal. Earliest app available was three weeks ahead. 1 day prior to the appointment, I received a text message asking to reply yes to confirm the laser appointment. Then I get another text from another phone numbers I don't recognize, asking to do a face chat with SEV laser. Then another text to confirm again, so I did. Then another text to fill out more forms, So I did. And then another text cancelling the appointment because i did not have a video chat. Is this a joke? So I called SEV Laser, spoke to a nice Russian girl, perhaps in Russia. I asked, "what crazy system is SEV operating?" Its a total overload of texts and phone calls from people i don't even know, and when i made the appointment, gave my credit card number to confirmation the appointment, and now you cancel right after i get a confirmation?. This sounds like a bad first date. Or like the airlines double booking your seat. The appointment people appeared not to be connected very well with the actual treatment facility.. It was just too much. I cancelled all my appointments and went on my way. I could sense to much disorganization. I was excited to try this place as it came recommended by a friend. My first frustration presented itself before I even showed up for my initial visit: You are not allowed to request a specific technician. I was referred to someone and this was my first experience trying LHR, I wanted to be in good hands. Every appointment was with someone different so I never built a rapport with them, literal strangers working on your most private area. The sessions felt rushed and only two small circular areas successfully stayed hairless. I went about 5 times and didn't even finish my Groupon package. My hair feels like nothing has changed, grows in completely (after 5 Brazilian laser sessions). My second visit, I was called back into the room and there were two technicians. One was there to observe and assist a less experienced tech; oh no no no. I'm new to this, I can't be your guinea pig. I had to assert myself and ask the "supervisor" to work on me which she did. I just want to update my 5 star review to add that I've had extremely positive interactions with their customer service. After a couple fully satisfied appointments, I had one session that I had a slight concern with. I reached out, and Ariel returned my message extremely quickly (and positively), with my issue fully resolved within two weeks. I notice that the negative reviews here seem to be about front desk service - I personally haven't experienced this as much, but with that factored in, everything else would still make it more than worth it. All the techs I've seen here are friendly and knowledgable, lasering has been thorough and not too painful, and problem resolution is top notch. Overall I'd still say this is the best clinic/company I've been treated at (of the four companies I've tried) and that you'd not regret coming here :) read more

My coworker told me about a great Groupon deal for this business after we had been back and forth talking about laser hair removal. At that moment I purchased the deal because I knew if I hadn't I'd keep putting it off. Today was my first appointment and I couldn't be happier. Luckily my appointment was early in the morning so I didn't have trouble finding parking. The inside was clean, bright, and inviting. All of the staff was super nice. My nurse was Paulina. She was very nice and explained the process to me and what to expect. Throughout the quick procedure she kept checking on me to make sure I was tolerating it okay. As a person who has been getting waxed every four weeks for the past 8-10 years, I was shocked on how much it did NOT hurt and how quick the session was. I'm not gonna lie, I left super upset with myself for not doing this sooner! I've gone to two sessions now and both times, I've had a pleasant experience. The first time my technician was Aiza and she really reassured me and made me comfortable because I was super nervous. The second time I had Christine and she was so friendly and easy to warm up to! The check in process is very quick and efficient. The process takes 10 min for both underarms and Brazilian. The feeling just feels like a rubber band snapping at you but not consistently. Some areas are more sensitive than others, but the cool air makes everything so much better! read more

As a customer of almost 5 years, pretty pissed off, that I drove all the way from Sacramento to be told that for the first time ever being late to my appointment, that I cannot be seen because I will be eight minutes late to my appointment. Seems a bit unfair because I'm literally always anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes early, but yet every time I'm there on time they call me back to get services 15 to 20 minutes late. I spoke with a gal on the phone named Jennifer whom is the one that told me I am not allowed to come to my appointment if I'm going to be eight minutes late, But then when I called back again, I spoke with another gal that told me I was fine to come to my appointment, but at that time I had already turned back around to head home, because Jennifer was very adamant with me on the phone that they will not accept me at all if I walk in and I am 7 to 8 minutes late. Very disappointing all the money and tips I've spent with this company over the past five years and not only have I tipped each time, but I have referred over 10 people which have now also been with Sev for many years now. As a beauty professional that has a business of my own. I totally get how someone running late can throw off your entire schedule, but I also do believe in not only a grace period, but allowing someone that has always been on time a slap on the wrist at least once in a lifetime to show a little bit of customer appreciation. Especially when they are the ones that are always running behind and have guest waiting. Wow. Just wow. I just had 1 out of 6 sessions and it was not painful, just felt like a little rubber band snap. After about a week, I was able to just pull my underarm hairs out with my fingers and the hair is growing less. My underarms are the smoothest it's ever been. I had an appointment for full body laser hair removal last Tuesday afternoon after my work and despite being a few minutes late because the bart from here from SF to Walnut creek was late the nurse was very kind and took her time all over my body. SEV laser are tremendously stingy. I ask the "Laser Technician" if she can get those 2-3 little hairs that are close to my "trail (belly)" which I paid for. However, all of them kept saying no that I have to pay extra because those are the rules but I called that bs because that's even part of my trail? Don't you think?! Mind you that I bought 5 different package with them (under arms, areolas , trail , Brazilian bikini, & full legs). Like leave a lady a brake. As a women we grow unwanted hair in little random places. Why they make it such a big deal about this? As long as we payed for the package they shouldn't act as if they are losing money. They're already a big company.... 2-3 little hairs shouldn't be nothing to them. Not to mention the "laser tech" should get more trained on the bikini area. I had a laser appointment today at 4pm for my first out of six sessions for a large area (underarms and Brazilian), which I purchased from Groupon. I was notified 5 minutes before my appt that they were ready for me to come inside. I'm glad they did this to prevent any crowds from forming outside or inside the lobby. Check in was fast and easy. They checked my temperature and asked me to wash my hands before my session. The nurse who assisted me was very professional, and to my surprise, the session was painless! I'm excited to return in 4 weeks for my 2nd session. Scheduling the next appointment was easy and overall had a great experience with the friendly staff. hello , this one star review is specifically for Katie/ katy , unsure her last name. she has dark hair. i drove up today from my job in san mateo, which took me about an hour and a half. it's a long route for me to take so i was exhausted from work but i did not expect to come and get laser which is something i look forward to and be mistreated by a technician. Katy was just very very rude and sarcastic , she spoke to me like if i was a little kid. her energy was very aggressive like i couldn't say or ask any questions. & trust me i have done lazer here over 15 times with several technicians and none have ever mistreated me like she has. i spoke to ask her if she can get a section on my lower arm and she says sarcastically " yea you see my drawing the lines right" it just felt very rude and unnecessary. then when i had asked her to get a certain section of my lower arm she said she already did that section , so i was like ok? (i certainly did not recall) lastly i was bold to ask one more question because at this point i was a little irritated by her demeanor i said if she could get this section on my lower back and she says " i don't have time for that & that's an extra charge" i was just thinking in my head like wow. this girl is being really rude to me behind closed doors. she proceeds by drawing the line above where i asked lol. at this point i wanted my laser session to be over with. i felt unheard , unappreciated , rushed , and like i wasted my gas and time with this technician. & this is also not the cheapest thing to do, so having to pay for it at the end was the icing on the cake for me. extremely poor customer service from katie. i don't recommend going to her at all. This review is based on the poor customer service I received both times I had been in this location. The girl in the front has no customer service skills whatsoever. Forget about getting a greeting with a nice smile when you enter. This girl gives short, quick answers to questions... and would not offer any kind of consolation by providing options/resolution to an inquiry/issue. I work in the healthcare industry as well and if our receptionist ever treats any patients like she does, she would lose her job. I came to the Walnut Creek location of Sev because of convenience. Going to the city is harder for me coming from where I live. I was hesitant at first because it is a brand new branch with no reviews from clients but Sev has such raving reviews and ratings at their other locations so I expected a lot more from this branch. I'm not sure if these branches are all owned by the same company or if the owner of this branch purchased the rights to the franchise.. but I sure did not get the 4.5 star experience that the other two Bay Area locations clients experienced. This is because they hired the worst person for the receptionist job - she is the person that their clients see and interact FIRST. First impressions are important in an environment like this where the patients need to feel safe and comfortable. I hope they train this front desk girl properly or replace her with someone else who is professional and capable of providing a great client experience for their patrons. read more
