Pretty poor customer service in my opinion. Wish I would have done more research as apparently others have had the same issue and the company's only response is the generic "sometimes we fall short." I have never been disappointed, that's why they're my go-to company for carpet cleaning. Because of COVID it was difficult to reach them but well worth the wait! DC confirmed my appointment immediately and on the date, he arrived promptly. He walked through measured and inspected everything, provided a clear, concise, no pressure explanation of the charges and confirmed my approval before starting. Although the quote was a little more than I expected...I understand it's hard to estimate until you actually see the damage. He showed me all the placed where there was hidden pet urine. The extra treatment was well worth it and my home was clean and fresh smelling. I called him back this time for carpet, area rug and upholstery. Again, he didn't disappoint and price was fair. "Did you read the fine print?" One of the very first things DC said to me when he walked up, before we even entered the house. He then said it over and over again before quoting me a new price that was SIX TIMES what we'd been quoted when we made the appointment. On three year old carpet. That we had been pretty meticulous on keeping clean. He then refused to do the less expensive treatment that we had contracted him for on our own house, and since we were closing on the house the following day and needed to get the cleaning done we had no choice but to accept. We ended up finding a deal on his own website that was $150 less than the live, in person quote, but still four times the original quote. The cleaning was fine, but it would also have been fine without the extra treatment he literally forced us to accept. Dear Sevenstar: deals that pretend to be good may get you money in the short term, but this is BAD BUSINESS practice. Do you have the right to set your prices at whatever you like? Of course. But do not lie about them to get an appointment scheduled and then hide behind "fine print" while you fleece people who have no other option but to get the job done that day. To bait and switch like this is dishonest, and very harmful to your business and your customers. Absolutely, 100% do not recommend now or ever. I was not home when the grout was clean but arrived home after work to see that he did not remove all the stains in the grout. After 9 years from the time our home was brand new, we never had our 18" floor tile and grout cleaned professionally. We thought we were doing a good job until we hired this guy. He never took a break and he gave us a full 6 hours to get our floors perfect. Now our tiled downstairs floors look new again. He has the modern machinery to do the job right. The most eye opening thing he did however was the 4 rooms of carpet and the catwalk. We probably went through 3 or 4 carpet cleaners over the past 9 years, costing as much as $350 bucks each. But they all failed miserably compared to his $35,000 carpet cleaning machine. Pet stains that were there for years that our home carpet cleaning machine could never quite handle are now gone. I purchased $156 Living Social deal for whole house up to $2000sqf. DC came measured the house and asked for $700 more. The room carpet area was 1950 sqf excluding stairs. He charges significant $$ for each stair step and he said he has to soil treat the whole 1950sq at 30cents per sqf. I asked him to clean only the downstairs carpet and stairs and do not soil treat, and stay within the Living Social purchase limits. There was only one room upstairs that was soiled. In the rest of the house only few very small spots that would need pre-treatment. He said, he is a professional and to do the job right he has to pre-treat the whole house carpet. I asked him to leave and got a refund from Living Social to be used for other deals. They would not give my money back. read more

Very unprofessional and beware of hidden charges... I do not recommend! I found this company on Groupon and reached out directly. DC took the call and seemed pleasant, he asked me to text a phone number with my information and he would send an email back confirming that he received my information. He confirmed my appointment February 27th for between 8am-10a March 31st. I'm moving so it was critical that I have my carpets cleaned. I was waiting on a confirmation call the day before but received nothing. I call the company and speak to DC again saying that he didn't have me down for today and asked if I had texted the number, I say yes I did and read off the number he had me text. He says I can get you today after 11 I tell him how I had plans and I was very disappointed I say ok and then ask him the price again he tells me price but now adds if the carpet is soiled we can't touch it without charging more I didn't even know what that meant he said I tell my customers this when I set up their appointment then he told me I was "more than welcome to cancel" WOW! My eyes filled with tears as I told him that I didn't know about these additional fees and he didn't he have me scheduled. We've used Sevenstar Carpet Cleaning three times now to have our carpets deep cleaned. We initially found them on Groupon and are so happy we did! D.C. has been upfront about the pricing and worked around our schedules to accomodate each and every time. We have a giant German Shepherd who sheds like crazy and lays in the same spot so the carpets get pretty saturated with the oil from his hair. Everything has looked great when the job is done. I guess just years of normal wear took its toll. After DC left, the tile didn't look all that good. We notified him, and back he came. Great attitude and backing up his work. He said he would give me a no obligation estimate for his pretreatment. I chuckled and said the carpet is just a year and my husband and I are mainly in our bedroom. He repeated his "I don't touch carpet unless it pretreated" I asked him how much was his no obligation pretreatment estimate. He walked around measuring our house. He said we had 1100 sqft of carpet that needed to be pretreated. I chuckled again and asked DC again how much. He said $259.00. DC I don't clean carpets that haven't been pretreated. I said so you won't clean my carpet unless I pay for your pretreatment. He said yes I don't do anything half way. I've been cleaning carpet for 30 year and with Groupon for 10 years. I purchased a Groupon to have my apartment carpet cleaned because I was moving. I made an appointment on Wednesday for service on Sunday. DC even text me that same day Wednesday because I made the appointment for Sunday to let me know they were closed Sunday. Immediately I made a new appointment for the next day, Monday. This was the last day I had to get the carpet cleaned because I just moved out of my apartment this past Saturday. Today, Monday, I get a text this morning stating I just saw you live in an apartment and if you do not have a faucet outside they cant clean the carpet. When he saw I made the appointment last week and he texted me acknowledging he saw the appointment he could have stated at that time that I needed to have a faucet outside. This is very unprofessional and a big inconvenience. I purchased a Groupon to have all the carpet in my house cleaned (less than 2,000 SF) and the guy 1) shows up 2 HOURS LATE and 2) REQUIRES us to purchase an additional treatment before he would agree to do the base cleaning. I was getting my carpets cleaned as a courtesy to the people buying my house - this was prior to moving out, I'm not getting the works. I understand that the Groupon states that additional fees may be added, but we have the right to refuse additional services. I was met by this company on-time this morning for a free estimate and now have revitalized hardwood floors and entry way & kitchen tiles. They measured out the work I wanted done and then provided a very competitive estimate for which I agreed to on the spot. They informed me of the process, explained the treatment, how much time and gave me some post-treatment tips. My golden retrievers ensured this would not be an ordinary job. As they love the mud and have the freedom of a doggie door into the kitchen, my flooring was in a putrid state. 3 hours later I have that relaxed feeling of walking into a clean, fresh-smelling home of which I am proud of. The best way to recognize this great company is to be a repeat customer of which I will be for my carpet cleaning needs in the near-term.
