On the second day, they told me a pipe ran underneath a gas line and that it would require another $3,000 in work, bringing the total to about $8,000. I called Access Sewer for a second opinion, and Paul immediately questioned whether it was actually a gas line. He recommended that I verify it with 811 and PG&E before spending the additional money.
