Super Bros was not the cheapest, but very competitive with the lowest quote. There were a few reasons we went with Super Bros. First, they got started on my whole house re-pipe the next week. The other company had me waiting for more than a month. The other reason is because Super Bros was super communicative and explained the whole process before it started, asked lots of questions about my preferences, and was incredibly transparent about every details and process. My primary point of contact for this job was Jeremy. He was actually another reason that I went with Super Bros, as I never felt like he was trying to upsell anything or push me into doing something I didn't want or need. He was clear about where there were options and where he has seen challenges from a project like mine in the past. His experience and demeanor were what locked it in for me. After agreeing to use Super Bros, the next week I was met by Mike, who walked through with me as he was point on the project. I work from home so I was around for the entire thing, but I can honestly say that there was barely any disruption to my workday. Yes, the water was off for one of the 3 days of work, but other than that and the expected noise of cutting out metal pipes here and there, the disruption was nearly invisible. I was also greeted by Serge and Denis who were handling different parts of the project. Both incredibly polite and obviously damn good at their jobs. How do you think I should rate a business that quotes me a three day job that turns into seven? How do you think I should rate a business where the workers show up after lunch smelling like they smoked pot? I know pot is legal in CA but that doesn't mean you can smoke it on the job and charge me $500 per hour while you work when you're high. How should I rate a business that leaves a mess in your driveway and in your front yard after they said they cleaned up? I was charged $25,500 to have my entire house replumbed. Was I overcharged? Yes. Did I get my moneys worth? No. After keeping track of all of their hours, and the money I paid the hourly average wage was $500//HR. Is that fair compensation for re-Plumbing an entire house? I don't think so. The two guys that worked on my house always showed up late and left early. How can you trust somebody to do a good job after they show up at 1 o'clock after lunch smelling like pot? After the second day in a row of smelling like pot, I should have called the owner, Jimmy, and told him to get his stuff and get out. But I didn't. I was into it for 10 grand just for starters. This is a company that I cannot recommend nor should you use based on the fact that the integrity of their workforce is nonexistent. I'm planning on notifying the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Department of consumer affairs. Not to mention the state contractor's licensing board. Now, regarding the job itself, it appears as though my new Plumbing is working fine. There's a couple of issues with pipes knocking against the wood, and marks on the wall that will not come off, and general slop left over due to the fact that the plumbers didn't feel it was necessary to take the garbage out when they were finished. I would strongly suggest that you look in other places for your plumbing needs. Quality = three star Value for money spent = two star Integrity of the company = zero stars. Mako Plumbing & Sewer will never again step into my house.
