The 6 Course Tasting Menu made for a fun and delicious evening with friends. The food was great and the service was excellent. Chef Marc, server Phil, and Dr. Brown Sugar were enthusiastic about what the restaurant offers and gave us great detail about the food we were enjoying that evening. The restaurant had a neighborhood hangout feel. The bar with large televisions is at the center of the room. The vibe is good for someone looking for finer dining in a more casual atmosphere. The mocktail menu offered creative options. I went with the Aces Belli with lavender, raspberry, lemon, rose water, and ginger. It tasted great and definitely gave the vibe of a fun cocktail. Every dish in the six course meal was thoughtfully created. All of the flavors and textures were wonderful together. We started with a large Ravioli with egg yolk inside and topped with mushrooms. We were brought bread to enjoy all of the decadent sauce on top. Next was a Caesar Salad. There was nothing ordinary about this. The flavors pooped and the black pepper was perfect. The Rolled Eggplant was excellent. Chef Marc doesn't bread this and explained that Italians don't bread their eggplant. It was a nice, lighter version of rolled eggplant. The braised short rib pasta was perfectly al dente pasta with the most flavorful beef. The vegetable mix in the sauce reminded me of a minestrone. The steak with sweet potatoes! Wow! The steak was perfectly seasoned and tender. I loved this. Lastly, Dr. Brown Sugar prepared a large Bananas Foster table side for us to share. He was so enthusiastic and added to the fun. This dessert was heavenly. I was so full at this point, but couldn't miss out on this. I really enjoyed my meal here. I heard about this restaurant from a coworker and was excited to visit for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations. When we arrived to check in, they were unable to locate my reservation. While this was disappointing, the staff was accommodating and were able to seat my party. We were seated near the kitchen, which may be a matter of preference for some, but it was not ideal for a celebratory dinner and was a bit of a turnoff. Still, I remained optimistic about the food. I ordered the garlic bread and Caesar salad, both of which were tasty enough that we ordered an additional salad for the table. Our waiter was polite and helpful, patiently answering questions about the menu and making recommendations. While waiting, I noticed they offered complimentary bread and requested some for the table. Unfortunately, the bread was cold and dry, which was surprising. The oil and vinaigrette provided were overwhelmingly oily, making it difficult to enjoy. I requested butter instead, but it arrived cold and hard--nearly impossible to spread on already cold bread. Service throughout the evening was very slow, and our entrees took quite a while to arrive. While we made the most of it by enjoying conversation, the delays were noticeable. One guest ordered the Bolognese, but the pasta was severely undercooked and nearly impossible to chew. The dish was sent back, but when it returned, it was unchanged. The sauce also lacked flavor and was barely edible. Another guest ordered the lamb medium-well. While the presentation was beautiful, the lamb was extremely undercooked, with blood running through each slice. It was sent back to be cooked further, but it returned essentially the same--just warmed. Sadly, that guest ended up not eating dinner at all. The shrimp scampi was one of the highlights of the night. It was flavorful and delicious, though the portion was disappointingly small--only a small handful of pasta and four shrimp. The branzino was another standout. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, clearly one of the better dishes we had. Finally, we came to what should have been the star of the evening: the tiramisu. After waiting nearly 20 minutes for it to be prepared tableside, I was close to asking for the check. This dessert is something my mom absolutely loves, so we were especially excited. Unfortunately, it missed the mark completely. The ladyfingers were soggy, the cream lacked flavor, and the presentation was messy and overly deconstructed. It was a major disappointment. Throughout the night, we had to repeatedly flag down staff for assistance and refills. While they did remove the lamb and dessert from the bill, the manager never came over to apologize or acknowledge the multiple issues we experienced. Overall, the evening did not go as planned, and it was not the Mother's Day celebration we had hoped for. We ultimately ended the night at Yogurtland. Unfortunately, I would not return or recommend this restaurant based on this experience. read more

Decided to book our 8 year wedding anniversary dinner here and I'm SO glad we did! My last experience here was 5-star and this one was also 5-star! This restaurant is gorgeous. We were seated right away and the hostess even knew it was our anniversary and wished us a happy one, which was really nice. Our server was outstanding and walked us through the entire menu. Last time I did the chefs tasting so i was excited to order off the menu regularly this time. To start, we ordered the meatballs, which were out of this world delicious. The sauce was sooo good. Our server also recommended the garlic bread so we could dip the bread in the sauce which was a great call. We also got the bone marrow. And when I tell you I was BLOWN away by this bone marrow... it's an understatement!! Usually when we've ordered bone marrow at restaurants, it's a lot smaller for the same price. This was MASSIVE. The bone marrow was delicious. And the sauces they served with it were so good. I definitely would recommend getting this and we'll be back for it! For dinner, I got the shrimp scampi pasta. I loved that the shrimp scampi was served on the side, so that I could mix it in as I wanted. It was sooo good! I couldn't finish the entire thing so we ended up taking it home. My husband got the riggies and he loved it. For dessert, we split the cheesecake and it was delicious. At the end, our server also brought over a couple of pastries from their pastry shop next door. He said it was for our anniversary and a snack for the baby for later haha. So nice! Incredible service and meal. We came here during a birthday weekend just looking for a good place to try, and ended up at Scrizzi. Honestly, we were pleasantly surprised. This place feels like a hidden gem on the southwest side of Las Vegas. It's one of those spots you don't hear about enough, but once you go, you get it. The food was really good. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, not heavy, just done right. The shrimp scampi had great flavor, and they even made a lasagna from scratch for our table even though it wasn't on the menu, which was such a nice touch. And the tiramisu... made from scratch and so good. Definitely one of those desserts you keep thinking about after. One of the servers mentioned the chef spent time in France and Italy learning recipes, and you can feel that in the food. It's simple but done with intention. We were also told one of the chefs, Román, was behind some of what we had, which made it feel even more personal. Service was honestly really good. Our server was super nice, personable, and just really cool. He made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable without it feeling forced. The ambiance is really nice too. It's a proper sit-down spot but still relaxed. The bar is a great option if you want to have a drink, watch a game, and still enjoy good food. Came here for a double celebration a birthday and a big announcement. The side table presentations with the flame thrower had the whole table entertained. don't know what was bigger, the pregnancy announcement or my bone marrow order, both were a big deal. A wonderful experience by Chef Marc who was present during our dinner. Loved everything about this restaurant. The main entrance is through Florentine, a little cafe which offers delicious pastries and desserts that can also be ordered from Sgrizzi. The cafe also acted as a waiting area which was nice because we could see everything they had to offer. When it came time to be seated, we were met by several staff members, all so very attentive to detail. There's a bar area, a few booths and a few big tables for bigger parties. As for food, we went with My Father's Meatball, Venetian Duck Ragu, and Shrimp Fra Diavolo. The meatballs were so juicy. Chef Marc stopped by our table and informed us that they use Tomahawk trimmings in the meatballs and their Sunday sauce. Sunday sauce, can also be ordered separately. First bite of the duck Ragu, my husband said 10/10 lol. But it really was that delicious! My Shrimp Fra Diavolo was also yummy. Spice level is from 1-4. The linguine tasted freshly made and the shrimps were huge! Perfectly cooked. Chef Marc has done an amazing job with this restaurant. I had read such great reviews, that I wanted to try this for my birthday. This restaurant far exceeded my expectations! The restaurant is beautiful. The staff is extremely attentive and their customer service skills are amazing! Our waiter suggested the cocktails we ordered. They were called romeo and juliet Loved them both! I ordered the ribeye. All I can say is O.M.G. this was the most delicious steak I have ever had! It was served with cabbage, mashed potatoes and sweet mashed potatoes. A.mazing!! Heard that Sgrizzi Ristorante & Bar by Chef Marc was on the Yelp's list of best restaurants in the country and decided to try it out. The entrance to the restaurant is inside their bakery. The ambience is simple and romantic; and there is a nice bar on the side. There is a refrigerator near the entrance where their dry-aged meat is displayed. The four of us ordered family style and had their Spanish Octopus Livornese and Bone Marrow as Antipasti. We got two pasta dishes: the Linguine Vongole and Venetian Duck Ragu; and a 44oz Dry-Aged Tomahawk Steak. We had Baked Alaska for dessert. Food was marvelous! It was among the best Italian food I have ever had. Every dish had very exquisite taste and excellent presentation. The pastas were all home made and were fantastic. The Bone Marrow was huge and really tasty. The Tomahawk Steak was chargrilled perfectly over an open fire and carved table side. It also came with very delicious mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes. Baked Alaska was awesome! Service was excellent, very professional and attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu items. It was a very delightful experience and Chef Marc and the manager even came over to chat. Very safe Cesar salad - a little heavily dressed. The lettuce was perfectly crisp and cold. The flavor of the dressing was on point. The croutons were delicate. Raviolo appetizer - OMG. Exquisite! Stuffed with ricotta and runny egg. In a mushroom truffle cream sauce. Duck ragu -very unique ragu, with cinnamon undertones. An amazing sauce with tender duck that melts in your mouth. Paired with perfectly prepared pasta. Chef came by and recommended adding a little Calabrian chile sauce. As a spice wuss I used mine very sparingly. Lovely experience! We came for our anniversary dinner in October and had a great dinner. We waited about 5ish minutes for our table with a reservation which wasn't too bad, we browsed the pastries while we waited. Once seated, the atmosphere is very nice, we were seated near the bar. We both ordered the specials for the night, mine was the fettuccini alfredo with truffles. The cream sauce for it was very very light, which made the truffles the spotlight. It was very good! My husband ordered a drink that came smoked and the waiter looked like he was having a great time lighting it in front of us. Service was top notch and we had no complaints about any element of our night. I would love to come back and try the pastries they had at the front. They were huge and looked so dang good!! I celebrated my birthday here a few weeks ago for my first visit. Overall the entire experience was wonderful. We opted to pick our own items from the menu and plan to try the chefs tasting with friends another time. The service was hand downs 5 stars. Something you would expect somewhere on the Strip, so that was refreshing. We started at the bar as we waited for our table to be ready. Not only were drinks great but our bartender had the best personality! Making the experience to start great. Once we were seated at our table we were greeted and given time to go over the menu. A lot of great items so we needed extra time. We started with the prosciutto and grape appetizer. Super simple and quality prosciutto. We decided to order a pasta as a second course and the kitchen was able to split the Bolognese. By far, the best authentic bolognese I have had in a while. Super creamy, not acidic at all. Get the bolognese! For our entrees we went with the Chicken Marsala and Pork Chop, Elchico. All I can say is delicious, cooked perfectly, seasoned just right, fresh ingredients and good quality proteins. Wait till you see the photos of the pork chop! It had butternut squash, mashed potatoes, green beans and picked cabbage included on the plate. The chicken Marsala came with a side of spaghetti. Dessert was a tough choice but we went with the Cherries Jubilee. It's done table side and was the perfect ending to our night. The vanilla gelato made in house was so fresh and light. One of the best gelatos as well. We already know we will be back to visit. It was very busy when we went and you certainly will want to plan in advance with a reservation. read more

This place was a mixed bag. Let me start with the good aspects. The NY strip was cooked perfectly and was a nice cut of meat. The apps were very shareable and well prepared. The space is a bit minimalist which is not my favorite for a higher end spot but was not offensive either. The service was reasonably good but it did not WOW us either. The bummer was that several menu items were not available on a weeknight at 6pm. I could understand that much later on a Friday or Saturday but this was a Tuesday fairly early. Seems like they have a bit of logistics to still work out. Overall the meals and apps we ordered were all good and no complaints about the food which is the most important right??? It took a ton of willpower to not stop at the bakery (which you have to go through to transit to and from the restaurant). The pastry selection was really nice and they were so tempting! Provided they get the logistics down and get a regular following, this place has potential to become a regular thing. read more

First time visiting as we celebrate the first week of school coming to a close. You enter via the bakery, which is full of tempting treats for the walk out. We were quickly greeted by the hostess and lead to our table. The lively restaurant has a mix of tables and larger booths and a full bar. Both of our servers, Marco & Wayne did a great job of checking in on us, keeping the iced tea flowing, and telling us about the menu. We love a good bread basket, especially when it comes with EVOO & balsamic. The bread also made for great dipping into the hot seafood platter. It contained shrimp, mussels, calamari, eggplant, cheese, peppers, and underrated mushrooms! My wife ordered off the menu and enjoyed the flavor of her linguine and clams dish. I opted for the lobster and shrimp linguine special. While I sometimes hesitate to get lobster in a sauce for fear it will mask the flavor of the lobster, this paired well with the tomato based cream sauce. I also enjoyed the mashed potatoes side. They looked like they might be a bit thin for my taste due to the buttery texture but they were perfectly thickened! It's dark inside with a long bar and open kitchen. They have a meat locker with a glass door so you can see the aging meats. Paired really well with the grapes Caprese salad- was different, with roasted red peppers instead of tomato , was good but prefer tomato My father's meatballs- fantastic meatballs. I order the meatballs at every place and that's what I judge them by and they were good here, sauce was excellent as well. Pasta Bolognese- was very good. Traditional preparation and very tasty. Pasta cooked perfectly and sauce had a lot of flavor Linguini Nero - one of my favorites! I love squid ink pasta and this was done well. Had a nice kick to it and the squid rings and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Steak 16 oz ribeye- was excellent. Cooked perfectly and they bone tableside with a nice show. Use a flamethrower to warm up the knife and cut the steak up and serve. Pork chop elchico- preparation is spicy, was cooked as ordered and came with a side of mashed potato. Was a hit at the table for sure Dessert Tableside tiramisu. Was a nice presentation with the pastry chef explaining each step and how it was all made in house. One of the best tiramisu I've ever had. Drinks Fumo -was very good. If you like bourbon and an old fashioned this drink is for you Chef was there and he stopped by the table a few times to check in Only cons were -they charge you for each refill on soda, $4 is a lot for 3oz of soda and ice - they charged my credit card for someone else's table Was fixed but delayed us for a while while they sorted it out. After a small hiccup with our reservation, the chef came out and helped to make things right. From there, we were off to the races!! We did the six course sampling menu. What I love about their six course menu is you can go back many times in a row and end up getting a separate experience. What I mean by that is it's not a prefix menu every night. It's just a six course sampler. So your menu will change every night. That's super unique! And I love it! The food was incredible, the potato leek soup was a stand out. Forgive me, but I forget the name of the fish that we had, but it was one of the best I've ever had, with a collaboration pepper sauce. Amazing! The tiramisu was worth writing home about!!! The service was spectacular!!! Our water glasses never went empty, food was prompt, the chef came out several times. The explanations were mouthwatering, and the servers were warm and inviting. Excellent restaurant. The location (Blue Diamond and Rainbow) is very convenient for people in the SW area of Vegas. This was my first time here, and it didn't disappoint. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and tastefully decorated with music at the right volume. I sat at the bar and Kevin (bartender and server) was amazing. He took the time to converse with me and suggested his version of an Old Fashioned, it was MONEY! Absolutely incredible! From the moment we walked in to the moment we finished this place was on point. Chef Mark is the man and he comes around to everyone's table to personally greet them which we love. The rest of the staff is also amazing as well. Chef Mark has created a delicious menu and he told us that he is using no seed oils in his ingredients which we love as well especially for our two young kids. We had the rib eye and the fish special this evening which was fantastic. Kids had butter and garlic pasta which was amazing as well. Finally the ambiance is great and we enjoyed going through the little cafe portion of restaurant as well. It ads a very nice touch and I'll be going there soon to get some coffee in the morning. My friend wanted to try this place after she already bought some pastries here before. It was her birthday, so made a reservation for a Friday evening dinner. After arriving, we have been seated immediately. Waiter explained the menu and the daily specials, and took our drink orders. The Lemon drop martini was excellent! My friend's mocktail was also well prepared. For appetizers, we ordered the Caprese Salad and some Cheese Toasts, and both of those were delicious! For entrees, wanted to keep it light, so both of us ordered pasta. My Gnocchi was delicious, I could eat one more time! My friend's Bolognese was delicious too, she said. For dessert we wanted to try the table side prepped Tiramisu. Presentation was nice, but the Tiramisu was a little bit underwhelming. I wouldn't get that again. We have been wanting to try this place since they opened down the street from me, and what better time to do it than with family in town for the holidays. A big thank you to Chef Mark for fitting in our party of 20 for a last-minute reservation. From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed! The staff was very friendly and on top of it. The restaurant is smaller than I expected, but it felt very cozy and intimate, creating the perfect atmosphere for our gathering. Where do I even start with the food? Literally everything we ordered was amazing! We got the tomahawk steak, which they fire-burned tableside, it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We also tried the chef's lobster tail pasta special, and it was so good we ended up ordering three plates! The beef short ribs were tender and delicious, served with a yummy sweet potato side that paired perfectly. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor! Ohhh, and I can't forget about dessert! The pistachio affogato topped everything off perfectly, creamy, nutty, and the ideal sweet ending to an incredible meal. What a cute local spot! Service was so on point. The place is PAAAACKED. My husband and I decided last minute to go grab some Italian food. Our friends had highly recommended this place, and so we decided to try it. The interior looks much more fancier than the way it lets off from the outside at first glance. I was expecting some mom and pop, simple tables from 1950 vibes, but the decor was way more fancier inside. The attached bakery was also awesome that you can get the same desserts also to go. We weren't too hungry so we kept it modest. Pork chops- 5/5. Probably by far one of the best pork chops I've ever had. Usually not a fan, but this will blow your mind. Linguine with clams- 3/5 it was off menu and they were able to make it since I was craving this dish badly. The sauce was a bit too thick as if they poured some clam juice from a can into the dish. The pasta texture and flavor was perfection. Utica greens- 4/5 I liked it since I've never tasted anything like it before in a non-Asian restaurant. It was good. Sgrizzi is located in the SW on BD/Rainbow. When you walk in the restaurant side is to the left of Florentine Cafe. We went in during breakfast and were greeted by the Chef who was so friendly. He explained the set, breakfast & lunch menus available. The dining room is so nice. We were also available to order coffee from the cafe menu. I got the Caffe Shakerato and for breakfast the Spinach & Ricotta omelette. Service is great and good came out fast. The omelette was a good size. It came with a side of arugula salad and house dressing which was so good. The omelette was fluffy and filled with spinach and ricotta. It was tasty for sure. The shakerato was so good. Not too sweet and it was smooth. On the way out we of course stopped at the pastry display and got 2 Pistachio Lobster Tails which her huge! The puff pastry was crispy and flaky and the pistachio cream was lightly sweet. So yum! read more

Fourth visit, and the decline has been steady enough that I need to put it in writing. The first time we came in, we did the Chef's Table. Chef Marc was all over the floor -- working tables, checking plates, pulling the room together. Food and service both matched the energy. Each visit since has slipped. Last night was the floor. The front desk was staffed by what looked like teenagers. No manager visible anywhere on the floor the entire night. It showed. Our server was visibly undertrained -- hot plates dropped on the table with no follow-up, no one came back to check if the food was right, no one offered fresh pepper, no one asked if we wanted Parmesan on the pasta. The basics. It got worse as the night went on. When the server cleared, he stacked the plates on top of each other on the table in front of us, then picked the stack up off the table. That's a Denny's move. In a restaurant with Chef Marc's name on the door, it's inexcusable. This used to be one of the best hidden gems on this side of town. Right now it's on par with the restaurant at an airport Sheraton -- pick your city, the comparison holds. Chef Marc built something worth protecting. Whoever is running the front of the house is not protecting it. We won't be back. read more

GREAT LOCAL PLACE THAT IS SHEEK BUT FEELS LIKE HOME. We had 2 pastas and the short Rib. The short rib was so tender, no knife needed at all. So Good. All their desserts are tableside so we had the tiramisu. Really great jist different cuz its crunchy since it has no time to soak cuz its prepared in front of your eyes but still great! Just dont expect it to be soft. Mark the Chef came and table touched twice. Nice guy and you can tell genuinely cares about if his guests like his food. And we def did. Weekend Brunch Review We love Chef Marc - having experienced a couple of his past restaurants and having such a great experience with him. One of our fondest memories was at his pizza place on Eastern in Henderson - Novecento. We had ordered a pizza and Chef Marc happened to be walking by and saw it. He was not happy with how it came out and offered to make us a new one. He invited us behind the counter to help him make it and the Husband had the best time doing it. (I was watching the Little Guy, so my hands were full.) He was so personable and just a lovely person in this casual encounter. On another occasion, we were dining with a large party at Parma by Chef Marc and the 7-course menu had been pre-organized. Chef Marc came out to talk to our large table and to go over each item. It was such an engaging evening with wonderful food. When word got out that Chef Marc was opening up a restaurant in the southwest area of town, we couldn't wait! It was a bit confusing intially with the opening of Florentine Cafe also. From what I gather, Florentine Cafe is a pastry shop with mostly sweet items and desserts. They are a few savory options though. It's mostly a take out place as there really isn't any seating and I'm not sure if you can sit in the Sgrizzi Restaurant side. Meanwhile, Sgrizzi Restaurant and Bar by Chef Marc is mostly open for dinner. However, they do offer a weekend brunch option and that's how we found ourselves dining there. With a limited menu, our party of four went with four dishes to share. They offer four savory options, two sweet ones, and three pasta dishes. I've seen a few Instagram reels and their affogato looks amazing. However, I didn't want to order this decadent drink until after our brunch came out. * Giambotta $18 - This was surprisingly quite a large size, but a bit one note. The Husband mentioned that if you got a bite of the hot cherry pepper, it helped a lot. Unfortunately, my few bites didn't include that. It also came with an arugula salad and focaccia bread. 3/5 * Polenta, Egg & Mushroom $16 - Their polenta was very good, mushrooms well cooked, and came with 2 sunny side up eggs. It also came with an arugula salad and focaccia bread. 4/5 * Bucatini Carbonara $20 - This pasta was heavy from the moment you looked at it. It was good, but definitely puts you out for the day if you eat the whole dish to yourself. 4/5 * Bucatini Basil Pesto $18 - Their version is more on the creamier side, so again, it was quite heavy. Good, but can put you to sleep if you consume the whole thing. It's considered a "summertime classic", but I think a lighter version would be nice too. 4/5 The manager came by our table earlier to drop off a couple of hot sauces, which I believe is made by one of the partners. This is definitely something you need to add to the omelette dishes. When it came down to it, this was a heavy meal for a weekend brunch and we had leftovers as well. As a result, I never made it to the affogato as it was just too much. Their dinner menu is quite extensive though and would love to return to check that out. read more

My boyfriend and I came for our valentines day dinner the service was great very attentive with asking how our food was and checking up on us. The food was good the branzino was light it paired well with the lemon butter caper sauce. My favorite was honestly the side of pasta the marinara was amazing. The restaurant was nice overall dim lighting and somewhat of a fancy dress code. However it was kind of hard to find the enterance because to get into the restaurant you have to go in through the cafe which was a little confusing. We had brunch here on Saturday. We were early, so not a lot of people were inside. There is a limited menu for brunch items. I had the Brioche French Toast with berries on top. My friend had the meatball sub. The single slice of French Toast filled me up, but if you are a hearty eater, you would want more than that. It was veI wish it would have came with a slice or two of bacon. I don't remember seeing that as a side order. The meatballs on the sub were delicious. The sub was smothered with some serious cheese! The brunch menu is really limited in choices. The prices were very reasonable. When you first walk in, there is a little pastry & coffee/cappucino counter. Everything looks decadent! We had been to Sgrizzi for brunch and had tried the bakery, which is excellent. But finally we got to go for dinner, which is more of an experience. And that "experience" aspect is the strongest attribute of this place - from when we first walked in and began waiting for a table, the chef came over and entertained us with information about different instruments and techniques, to when we were seated and deciding and the chef again came over to discuss what was the freshest and most interesting options for us to order. That direct line of communication with the chef, along with plenty of great service from the rest of the staff, really made this experience the peak experience it could be. The table side risotto was an amazing recommendation that our table really savored. The calamari we had was probably the best I've ever had, it was amazingly light and fresh. My only reason for giving less than 5 stars is just that the price is high, and some dishes really warrant it, while other dishes we had were less remarkable. The service and experience overall were great though. I would definitely recommend Sgrizzi for an amazing night out! read more
