Wow, wow, wow! Talk about a diamond in the rough. Small town, quiet area, playground/skate park around the corner. Nice views all around you. This place is small but cheery! No wait, got seated at the bar right away. (That's where we prefer). Waitress was kind and said hello as we walked in. The cook walks around as well; we got to say hi to him and give him a big thanks for the delicious meal he made for us all. Got myself the Irish Benny! It was extremely tasty. Visiting Greenfield, Turner Falls area...? Go check this place out. Enjoy a wonderful breakfast, you deserve it!

If you're in the mood for hot breakfast served up fresh from the grill (maybe a bit greasy), can't find anything else open, and don't mind coffee being a little on the burnt side, this is the place to go. We stopped by here for a quick bite recently, and oddly it was one the only place in the neighborhood that was actually open for breakfast / brunch. Old Town Diner feel here, this place is absolutely no frills. Seems like a good amount of locals were here as almost every seat was filled at 10am. Let them know ahead of time if you want butter on the side, as all of our toasts (even French Toasts) were pre-buttered quite heavily. Our grilled chicken sandwich was heavily spiced with rosemary, it was a bit overpowering. Otherwise, our food was cooked to order. Another forewarning, in order to access the bathroom, you have to exit through the backdoor and go around to another door in the back of the diner, restrooms are situated physically behind the kitchen. Service was above average... timely to take our order, but to get the food and the check took a while.

3 stars equals A-OK in Yelp land and that is a good rating for Shady Glen. The net, net is: The service was good. The food was fine. The prices were cheap. I bookmarked this place since I had seen it on an Anthony Bourdain show + I love diners. Well, this place is no better than average. I am sure the food is consistent here, so if I lived close by I likely would be a regular and find some items they do better than others. The atmosphere delivers in the kitschy cool sort of way. The place looks like an old ice cream place. They have these ugly yellow counter tops that are cool because you will likely never see that shade anywhere else! Anyway, check it out if you are so inclined. Its quick and cheap and not half bad.

I've reviewed this place before, but I guess it didn't upload?? ive been coming here for years but still not add long as most if the locals bellying up to the yellow counter for solid diner breakfast and the classic housr roasted turkey. It's not the same add when the original owner greeted every customer from the spot at the corner & there was a pie list to maker my father in law weep, but it's still a neighborhood anchor with decent food that preserves the sense of this communities history. Well worth coming over the newly opened bridge for!

We went to Shady Glen today for a late breakfast and found it to be delicious. I had pancakes and home-fries, while my partner had eggs, ham and pancakes. Both meals were great and really filling . Since it was a late breakfast we decided to both get mimosas, which were also delicious. When having our mimosas we broke out laughing because we noticed that our Champagne flutes had wedding dates on them from 2012. Finding this on the flutes added a little character to our breakfast. The staff was great and we can't wait to go back to this little gem in Turners.

Literally some of the worst food I've ever had. Please do not eat here. And the service is just as bad.

So I saw Harvey's on the way up to a friend of mine's and I knew it was going to be about dinner on…read morethe way back so I noted it and went in pretty much right it open. A prompt reading. Very nice and shown to a great table. There wasn't lots of people there at opening but we didn't care. I couldn't resist the deviled eggs which had chili oil and just a little bit of heat. Love the flavor and then we went to the artichoke hearts that were crispy fried on the outside and creamy on the inside. We then ordered up the crispy fried chicken because of the chickpea batter. My buddy could have it being gluten free. I didn't even notice it was gluten free. Deliciously cooked. The last thing we ordered were the shrimp and grits the maple flavor to it was awesome. The shrimp were plump and cooked correctly and the grits would not mushy at all. I was very surprised and loved to finish with this meal The one downside is I did order a martini and it did come about half the size that I was used to but it was only $10 as well. So delicious! Dirty martini just a little small but I didn't want to order two. I think you're going to be quite pleased if you ever are going through turners falls or if you live there and drop on in the whole dinner for the four dishes and two drinks was about $85 with the 20% tip so it's not cheap but the food is good
