Great service, solid portions, good vegetables; good price point for Frisco. This is the corner off the shopping strip

Fantastic Hawaiian spot that truly delivers on flavor and authenticity. The katsu chicken impressed me most it stayed perfectly crispy even after the drive home, which says a lot about how well it's prepared. The white rice was cooked to ideal texture and the macaroni salad had just the right balance of flavor. The crab wontons were a highlight too: light, crunchy and not greasy at all.

100% 5 stars because of the Rice! I wish you could teach all of the other Hawaiian spots to cook white rice it was perfect. ordered the Kalbi and the fried shrimp portions were big and the beef was delicious. Shrimp was just a frozen shrimp nothing to write home about but the service was great and friendly and inside is clean and organized! Thank you for a great time

Good reviews and the food looked good whenever it came out. However, nothing after that was good. I was only brought a plastic fork by the worker so was basically impossible to cut the chicken. Also nothing special about the location just a strip mall food place. Food wise I was super disappointed. The chicken was either reheated or overcooked because it was so chewy. Then the cabbage was undercooked so basically inedible. And the macaroni salad had zero flavor at all; it was basically unseasoned pasta with flavorless mayo.

Wow. One of the Hawaiian meals of all time. Literally stacked the box with food, it was SO GAS. Meats were well seasoned with good pops of flavor. The MAC SALAD WAS MACCING THAT day. Only complaint was that rice serving was too little, I had trouble rationing that stuff per bite

Our go to for Hawaiian food. 100% the best place in North Texas for authentic Hawaiian food. It's no wonder there're a constant trickle of customers flocking this joint. The food is delicious and takes me back to Hawaii especially when you get the spam and eggs plate. We sometimes skip the macaroni (although delicious) and get double rice. Customer service is consistently amazing. You're greeted with Aloha the moment you walk in and they make it a point to tell you to have a wonderful day/evening when you leave. Ambiance is very chill as the restaurant name states. You'll feel right at home without all the fancy. We've had Shaka cater one of our parties and they're on point with suggesting if you have enough food to feed a crowd. Definitely give them a visit if you haven't... you're guaranteed the best aloha in all of Texas. Our go to for Hawaiian food. 100% the best place in North Texas for authentic Hawaiian food. Ordered the Hawaiian BBQ Mix (it has BBQ chicken, BBQ beef, Kalbi short ribs, and comes with steamed rice, macaroni salad, and veggies), Chicken Katsu, and the Crispy Shrimp (6 pieces). Every single thing tasted incredible - my personal favorite was the Hawaiian BBQ Mix. The short ribs were amazing and I couldn't get enough of the macaroni salad - all of it was in my belly in less than 2 mins lol. Do yourself a favor and get the Hawaiian Mix if you go, it's THE best. All the staff are super friendly and the service is excellent. 10/10 would recommend!

I LOVE this place! The food is good - just a what you can get in Hawaii. Everything I've eaten is good but I especially like the BBQ chicken and kalbi short ribs. Both are tasty! The only thing missing at Shaka's is a shaved ice machine. lol! The staff is friendly. Service is fast and accurate. There are seats to eat. The tables are a little sticky but the food makes up for it. I really enjoy coming here. I keep coming back for more yummy food!

The concept of emptying out and filling a baguette with salad is definitely interesting... And it might even be a deterrent for some people for trying it out, so I am very grateful for my friend who turned me onto this place! Upon my first visit, I tried their Tinga chicken Zepplin and it is phenomenal. It is very very good! I got mine with chipotle ranch and avocado ranch. The flavor of this thing has me coming back at least once every two weeks. It is expensive, especially after leaving a tip and buying a drink on the app, coming to about 20 bucks for a stinkin' meal, but it is delicious. Being extremely curious about what happens to the inside of the baguettes, I noticed that they sell bread pudding, dessert, too; so I assume that this is where all that bread is going. The bread pudding is VERY GOOD, but serving-size is very small, but in my opinion, the perfect size for a dessert. I can see how some people might be upset about the small size, but frankly, they are fat ass Americans, lol, who are used to super-size drinks, fries, and inflammatory diseases #Hashtag "make small desserts a thing again". The ambience is on par with most fast food eateries these days: it is absolutely terrible! Hard surfaces everywhere, hard chairs, hard tables, so naturally it is a very unwelcoming environment, which is exactly how these corporate businesses design their stores... Corporate businesses don't want comfortable soft Carpets, comfortable benches, where people will spend time hanging out all day, or even soft seats... They strategically make their stores hard surfaced like this because, acoustically: sound is loud in these environments, and subconsciously customers don't want to spend very much time in these settings; Hence why they are designed this way to maximize turnovers and increase traffic. In my opinion, I think an eatery specifically like Bread zeppelin, would benefit greatly from having the Panera-bread style of soft carpets, soft seats, free Wi-Fi, welcoming all the local collage kids and other customers to hang out even if stay beyond the time it takes to eat their sandwich. I like to try new things all the time, but I'm telling you that I cannot bring myself to pass up the Tinga Chicken Zeppelin every time.
