The burgers were good. My husband heard really good things about this place so we decided to try it. He got the green Chile cheese burger, I got the turkey burger with cheese. We shared the fries. I really didn't think there was anything special. The size of my turkey burger was small, but I was content after eating it and I'm always saying America is overfeeding us with large portions to give us or "money's worth", so I can't complain about it. I only walked the bag 5 steps from the service window to the bench before eating it. The green chile didn't have that much flavor, the cheese had become something of a sauce and contributed to the wet nature of the burger. The beef patties were decent and the bun was okay - where it hadn't become soggy. The green chile stew was very hot in temperature and had a decent flavor/taste. I love this place but twice I have gone and the staff weren't wearing masks- today 2 staff had masks around their necks- including one of the cooks- totally unacceptable. Cute concept. Industrial looking structure where you order. You eat outside. There is no vegetarian options for any type of sandwich or burger. Hard to believe in the City Different. There is a deep fried portobello burger, but come on... Deep fried. I settled on an oyster sandwich. It had a ton of mayo and I ended up taking out the fried oysters. There was green stuff inside them and I was unsure what it was. Family had the bison burger. Expensive for what looked like a thin patty slider in my son's hand. Lol. Great fries but absolutely nothing for vegans and the only salad on the menu is a bunch of romaine lettuce in a cup where you dip the lettuce into the dressing at the bottom of the cup. This little outdoor burger joint is so good that people come rain or shine - never mind that it's completely al fresco dining without much overhead cover. Luckily for me, I was able to nab one of the only two tables with overhead protection on a wet afternoon. I tried the junior foundation green chili cheeseburger, and my fiance had a double classic burger. The green chili burger had a nice kick to it, but I didn't necessarily enjoy how messy it ended up being. Of the two orders, I thought the classic burger was the winner. I recommend adding the chili mayo in your burger as it takes it up a notch in flavor. They were all out of the fried oyster sandwich, so I'll definitely be coming back soon to try that baby. As for the shakes, I ordered the lavender which I thought was a bit too strong in flavor. I usually love lavender-infused ice creams and teas, but I thought theirs was a bit overwhelming. Instead of the subtle lavender scent that I normally enjoy, it tasted like I was drinking lavender perfume. They can tone it way down in my opinion. I was just looking at the menu posted and a very friendly fellow popped his head out of the "I COOK" window and said he could help (as opposed to "asking" me if I needed help.). That kind of set the tone for me and this burger/shake joint -- in a good way; a different approach with a certain kind of confidence. So, I told the guy that I REALLY wanted the Hatch green chile grilled cheese (like the one on their menu) but sadly, he said they aren't serving it right now... Boo... :( this fellow told me their only vegetarian option at this time is a mushroom burger. Didn't really want a mushroom, so I passed and got some fries and a shake. The shoestring fries were good BUT at $3.75, they should be outta this world. I'll try the fries again if: -they lower the cost -increase the portion -make me float up to heaven and drift back to earth like a leaf in Fall (3 stars) The shake? Really good and I'd say and worth the $5.75. I got the total chick flavor, Lavender. Great flavor + a little fiber (yep, there's lavender buds in the shake). Didn't pop for .50 for malt (a weird flavor combo, you know). But will surely try other flavored shakes with the malt (I ADORE malts!!!) It was creamy, tasty and suckable through a straw. This place shakes it up! All seating is outside...so it could be brutal during the windy weather months and they need to provide a bit more shade. I had the double pattie green chili cheeseburgers with a chocolate shake. It's a good burger and easy to put down because they are not that big. The shakes are perfect, I almost ordered another one. The service I must say can be much more friendly, but they were pushing out the orders so I fully understand. I've eaten here twice. This place is very disappointing. The food was not flavorful. The burgers and fries taste like they weren't seasoned. The oyster sandwich lacked oysters. The fries were limp. The "milkshakes" were so ultra hard and frozen that they couldn't be drank through the paper straws which quickly become soggy. The employees didn't take the job seriously and were playing around in the kitchen. Subpar fast food quality with restaurant wait times for food preparation. When I ordered my food, the cashier had an attitude and wasn't speaking loud enough for me to hear and the cashier rolled their eyes. Also, most of the staff were sharing a vape pen. From someone who lives for In N Out and will go out of their way for ShakeShack anytime I'm in a city that has one, I will say the Shake Foundation holds their ground. Stopped by on a late Sunday afternoon and ordered the green chile cheese burger and fries. The burger was good - a step up from fast food but not quite the quality you expect in a restaurant. I do wish the burger had more green chile on it. The fries were over done in my opinion, but I think they are marketed at crispy fries. The price point is nice and the atmosphere is cute - a little cold eating outside in the winter but I imagine most other seasons are great! read more

A delicious burger and shake joint! I love the picnic benches and the classic feel of the place. Staff was friendly and place clean for it being all outdoor seating. Nice shade from all the trees. The line was pretty long, but once our order was in, it didn't take long to get our food. The burgers are perfect! My husband and I love the way they are cooked - crispy on the edge, but tender inside - with plenty of yummy green chiles. The fries are perfect - THIN - like traditional pommes frites. All the ingredients tasted super fresh and I appreciate that they use good meat - "Only the sirloin and chuck for our special Beef Blend. No Hormones. No Antibiotics." The Adobe Mud Shakes are worth trying at least once - made with REAL ice cream... but it does up the feeling that if you ate this combo often, a heart attack would be in your future. This is the second time this has happened to me in the past three months. Back in June my wife and I walked up to the order window at 6:45 one evening. A woman yelled out the window - "What do you want? We're closed!" Let's see, Restaurant 101, that should have been "I'm sorry, we closed at 6:30." I saw this burger place passing by one day and asked my boyfriend to try it with me. The smell outside was amazing. I ordered a cheeseburger, single fries, and small soda. My boyfriend ordered a double cheeseburger, fries, and a milkshake. The total? Nearly $33. That's fine provided that's the food is good. We received our order and the food was what you'd expect to receive in a kids meal. The burgers were insanely small. I don't mind paying but, not those prices for something that should be served as a kids meal. The food tasted fine but, the portions are way too small for the price. We could have gotten Five Guys for the same price. I gave this 2 stars just because the service was fast and food did taste good. Just way too small for the price you pay. Food is two-three stars. I love Martin's potato buns, green chile was good, and I think the burger is the perfect size, as I 1. prefer diner-style burgers over pub-style burgers and 2. When I went to the pick-up window, I was met with the proper response. The gentleman realized I had been waiting too long, saw that my order was completely missing, and got to work straight away on my order. To make up for it, her offered me an ice cream, which was very nice (and kinda the right response for when something happens like that) - it was very much appreciated and took some of the sting away from the girl's poor attitude. After this meal it is safe to say we will never ever ever eat at the Shake Foundation again!!!! After driving home which takes 30 minutes, my husband opened up his spicy chicken sandwich to find a badly burnt piece of chicken. I had been so excited to get him a fried chicken sandwich. It was one of the most dried out pieces of chicken. It was possibly dark meat and not white. But never the less it was gross. My burger was ok. But I can not get over the chicken sandwich and the fact that a human being would ever serve it. Oh yeah! And they do not give refills on soda. After waiting for my food, I wanted a little more soda for the road and I was turned away. My cup was not even full in the first place. I spent $27.00 there. "Let's open up a restaurant in Santa Fe. Sunny Santa Fe would be NICE..." This place kept showing up on all of the lists of places to eat while in Santa Fe, so on our last day in NM before going to Meow Wolf, we stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Happy campers all around! I got the portobello mushroom burger and the lavender ice cream. The burger was delicious. I thought I would need some type of sauce or condiments to put on the burger, but without any, the flavor profile was delicious! I've been on a lavender kick ever since I picked up a lavender kombucha from Whole Foods, and I jumped at the lavender ice cream when I saw it on the menu. The lavender was subtle, and I could tell the ice cream was homemade! We also got a large order of shoestring fries, and the portion wasn't shy. If you're familiar with In-n-out, imagine one of those brown trays and you'll have an idea of the serving size. Quite a trendy crowd. There were only about 3 parties of 2-3 ahead of us in line when we got there on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30. We each got a milkshake: I got salted caramel (which wasn't overly sweet, just how I like it) and she got chocolate.. each with a generous dollop of whipped cream! We split a large fry (shoestring) and tried their green chili soup (a spicy blend of meat, potoatoes and green chilis) which was very delicious. Today we ordered two green chile double burgers. We brought them home to eat. The patties had bone and cartilage pieces in them. It was pretty disgusting. When this business opened the food quality was good. It's gone downhill, sorry to say. The service was also lacking. Very unfriendly. We were the only customers when we arrived and they acted as though we imposed upon them and interrupted their lull. We will not eat there again. There are better places to get a burger in Santa Fe.
