An employee who apparently has nothing better to do than guard the parking lot (there are always longs lines that they could maybe help with) jumped out of a car and chased me down saying the parking lot was only for customers. I explained that I was meeting a friend to which he replied "we'll see". I told him that I would be going somewhere else given their treatment of customers. This employee followed me back to my car calling me a liar. I'm a little confused why the restaurant would treat customers that way. I've been here plenty of times and the food is decent, but there are plenty of other options with infinitely better customer service. Hopefully your protecting of parking lots is worth the loss of a customer and the ensuing word of mouth. read more

Website says they close at 8. We had a lot of shipping to do and were looking forward to grabbing a malt on the way out of town. We got there around 7:20 and looked over the menu really quick, then tried to order. The young guy behind the counter told us " sorry, we are closed, we close at 8, but sometimes 15 or 30 minutes before". Since Shake Foundation doesn't have a way to contact them via their website, I'll use this platform. A few days ago I was just walking through their parking lot. As I passed by a white car two employees Came running out screaming at me, "You can't park there." I informed them this wasn't not my car but they insisted it was and they were calling a tow company to tow my car. I took my keys out of my pocket and showed them it wasn't my car. They continued their berating. I know that businesses near the plaza parking is premium but there's better ways to approach people than yelling at them even if it was my car. I've been underwhelmed here before but I was a little baffled today. The burgers are OK ... Just OK. Could use a lot more seasoning. They're small. And greasy (but I kinda like that ... You might not). The fries are OK, but also greasy (even for me). All those things I can deal with. Today, though, I was utterly confused. I haven't been feeling great so I wanted to eat kind of light. I ordered a Caesar salad. I took a picture of what I got. It is literally a bunch of whole Romaine lettuce leaves (at least 8 inches long!) shoved in a cup with some dressing in the bottom. What? I guess I'm supposed to .... Dip the lettuce in? Okay, I don't have a food review, because the cashier is -as other reviewers have mentioned- so unbelievably rude and ignorant that we left before ordering. We had wanted to try this place because we had heard great things about it being gluten-free friendly, great local food & dog friendly. I can tell you honestly it is not gluten free friendly (the cashier will roll her eyes and tell you to get "a lettuce wrap, don't get the bun because IT'S BREAD! " when you ask her, as directed by the menu, what's gluten free. Then say "WELL WAT DO YOU WANT?! WHY DON'T YOU TAKE A PICTURE OF THE MENU IF YOU DON'T KNOW!" I get the marketing idea of sassy staff, but this ain't it, foodie friends. This place is not gluten friendly, dog friendly or even people friendly. The shake Foundation has lost its footing. A family favorite in the past, today's visit will be the last. Ordered to go to avoid the heat/wait, and although we got what we ordered, I wished perhaps we didn't. My burger was beyond well done, despite requesting medium, and the fries were so salty. The shake was good as always, stuck to a vanilla bc they are almost always out of various flavors. I made the mistake of ordering the Caesar Salad as well... it came out as a solo cup with an inch of dressing at the bottom and a romaine heart, I chopped, sticking out like like a lettuce bouquet. My wife and I decided to try Shake Foundation although reviews were mixed. She had the green chile cheeseburger and I tried the spicy chicken sandwich. The staff member said for 2 people we needed the double fries. It was enough fries for an army. They were also some of the worst French fries I've ever had. They were limp, soggy and undercooked. The meat on the burger actually had very little flavor, very little green chile and way too much extra thick onion. My chicken sandwich was well spiced and crispy but I had to open it up because I thought they might have forgotten the green chile. There were about 5 or 6 little green chile pieces on top of the chicken. With all the good green chile burgers in Santa Fe we won't be rushing back to Shake Foundation. read more

The burger is good juicy really no complaints. Best in town no no... But that's ok considering where we're talking about. The fries are consistently below average. Its the weakest link to the meal. They are unwilling to accommodate dietary restrictions - not out of inability or lack of means but out of laziness. The burgers were good. My husband heard really good things about this place so we decided to try it. He got the green Chile cheese burger, I got the turkey burger with cheese. We shared the fries. I really didn't think there was anything special.
