The shakes are good, there is no question about it. They only come in one size though and are very pricey. I had a burger and fries which were about average, but also very pricey. I'ld go back for the shakes but not for the burgers. Even then it would only be a once in a while treat just due to the cost alone. It's a cute place though, with friendly servers and a nice outdoor seating area full of park tables lit with overhead Christmas lights. There is no inside seating though so plan on taking it home if it's raining.

    Seriously?

We discovered this place the year we got married in 2016, and it used to be one of our favorites. Unfortunately, it has really gone downhill. At a burger spot, you'd expect pickles to be standard--or at least a decent dill option. Instead, when we asked, the cashier (who was very unfriendly) said they charge extra and they're "different & homemade." $3.60 later, we regretted it. The pickles were spicy, unpleasant, and honestly tasted spoiled. My mother even said, "These aren't pickled right--I'm going to be sick." On top of that, they forgot the Shake mustard sauce on all our burgers, and what they did offer for sauces was poorly presented and underwhelming, frankly embarrassing. This place used to be a gem for us 10 years ago. Sadly, in 2025, it's an F in our book.

Serviceable burger but no great shakes, if you'll excuse the pun. The meat was good, but the flavor/seasoning was nonexistent. The fries were awful. The service was just OK. You could get something better at McDonald's for half the price, frankly.

When in town, we have tried their burgers numerous times. This trip I opted to try their chicken sandwich with green chilis. I really enjoyed it! Would definitely order this again.

Before I made my way to Santa Fe, I did some research on the best green chile burger. Shake Foundation came to the top of the list. While I came to Shake Foundation for the green chile burger, it ended up being my least favorite item. I couldn't taste the chile, not much else, really. I decided to add some ketchup and mustard. The salted caramel shake was really good! When they say thick, they mean THICK! The fries here were also quite good. I would definitely try them out again. There were some other good items on the menu.

We happened to drive by Shake and needed lunch so we tried it out on a whim. I was surprised to see the lower reviews, we had a solid lunch! There is no indoor seating here, there are plenty of tables outside if the weather is nice and they have a cute little set up. It was snowing when we arrived so most were grabbing food to go or eating in their cars. There are two main windows - one to order at and one to pick up your food. You get a buzzer after ordering that lets you know when it's your turn to grab your food. The menu is mostly burgers plus fries and ice cream. We tried a single cheeseburger plain, the fries, and the spicy chicken sandwich. My partner also tried out the ice cream (vanilla with chocolate chips on top). The cheeseburger was very good, as was the chicken sandwich! The fries are shoestring style but more on the limp side. Not my cup of tea but the flavor was fine and they were fresh. The ice cream was excellent. Overall cute spot to grab a bite to eat!

Fantastic fries and some stellar ice cream! I came around lunchtime on a Saturday and the parking lot was pretty filled. It is an unpaved lot and could be an issue for small cars, my small SUV had a lightly difficult time leaving because of a little dip by the exit. I ordered the buffalo burger and a cherry ice cream sundae with piñon on top, as well as split fries with a friend. I would say the fries were comparable to IN-N-OUT style, crispy and about the same size cut. The cherry ice cream was so good, I'd go back just for that. They also had decent quality whipped cream and you can't go wrong with good whipped cream on a sundae. The burger was lacking in flavor and a bit small (but filling!), in the future I'd probably just opt for ice cream and fries because that's really where its at anyways.

The interior is classy and very comfortable. We were seated at a nice comfy corner booth. The soft music in the background was soothing and just noticeable enough without being a distraction. We were served complimentary flutes of local sparking wine and a fresh baked bread basket and butter to start. We then ordered cocktails and three starters. First was a split plate of the endive smoked duck salad with a warm bacon vinegarette. Wow...this was nice and refreshing. This was followed by the crab dumplings with fresh corn and peas and lobster sauce. Delicious! The final small plate was seared foie gras on top of banana bread toast. This was very good. I miss foie gras. Unfortunately, it's banned in California. They had a 2023 Sea Smoke "Ten"Pi ot Noir on the wine list. This is one of the best Pinot Noirs produced in California and not easy to find. This was a no doubter and we ordered a bottle to pair with our entrees. My wife ordered their signature elk tenderloin for redemption because the restaurant the night before failed at executing this. I ordered the tomahawk pork chop. This was cooked to perfection with a nice thin crust on the outside and a perfect very light pink juicy center. We ordered a side of brocolini that was pan roasted with shallots and butter. Everything was very good and Michelin grade in our opinion. Lastly we ended the evening and split the tiramasu type of desert. My wife had the expresso martini and I had an 18 year old Glen Morangie scotch neat. The service was excellent and worth the splurge. This is a must when visiting Santa Fe.

I'm not sure what's happened to Vinaigrette, but the entire experience was completely disappointing. I asked the server to bring bread with our meal and was presented with some kind of focaccia bread stick that was hard and stale. What happened to the wonderful bread that used to be served there! I ordered the Tuna Salad, and my friend ordered the Beet Salad. While there was a generous amount of tuna, it was shredded into very small pieces and the salad was dry. It was completely underwhelming and unsatisfying. My friend commented the dressing on her salad was very sweet and the pistachios were ground up into the goat cheese. Upon arrival, I informed the bartender (at a time when the restaurant was not busy) that I'd sit outside. By the time the server saw me, she apologized and said the bartender hadn't informed her. After our server clocked out, her replacement was slow or distracted, never offering me a second beer or ensuring our waters stayed full. Our actual server, though, was outstanding. She's tried enough of the menu items to be able to provide detailed information and smart suggestions. We liked her a lot! Management material, IMO. Started with the Bow & Arrow dark lager and a cup of the mushroom stew. I thought it was a great combo and paired well with the fresh focaccia, which was a steal at $2 for 4 slices (served with quality EVOO and balsamic)! Perfect stew dunker and salad companion. For entree, I got the pepita salad, and my friend got the pear-fessor. We both enjoyed our choices. Cumin dressing in the pepita was light and bright, and it's one of the few salads that comes with a protein (shredded chicken). Lovely little tables on front and back patios. All seating is hard, so BYO cushion. Will return when the peach burrata salad is back on the menu!
