Amazing burgers and fries. Thoroughly impressed by the in-store design, cleanliness, and the electronic ordering system. An elegantly executed, innovative take on the traditional American burger joint--elevating it to a luxury status-- similar to what the brand Yeti did with coolers. Love the "fine casual" concept. Feels akin to what Apple would do if they started a burger chain. Personally I'm very health conscious, so I wouldn't eat it every day, but it's great for an occasional cheat meal (or two). The cheese fries are damn delicious :) I can see now why Danny Myer is such a legend in the hospitality industry, and why this place has such popular appeal. Will definitely be back. read more

Sometimes I crave a plain ol' burger, and not the fancy, sit-down restaurant kind. I want it to be beefy, with a soft bun, and loaded with veggies, ketchup, and mustard. I typically skip the cheese because it interferes with the flavor, at least in my opinion., but I do love cheese! I decided that Shake Shack was my favorite. This time, I had their Korean BBQ burger, but that's too much crap on a burger. Gimme' that plain old Birger. Shake Shack has earned my favorite. It's my absolute favorite. I love the smashed patty with crispy edges. I love the big beef flavor and I love the soft bun and all of the normal toppings. This is the burger. It just is and I'll happily pay $7.00 for it every time. (Same goes for the cheeseburger.) Their crinkle Fries were excellent, dipped their Shake Sauce. The dining room was nothing exciting and causing them to lose a star. Clean, but Pretty bland, actually. Minimal side refills and condiments. We had been anticipating this restaurant to open since it was close to the office. I ordered the shroom burger which is portable I mushroom stuffed with cheese and fried, it takes the place of a Hamburger. This was delicious! I also ordered cheese fries. Next time I will opt for regular fries, the cheese was very bland and tastes like plastic. read more

Just tried this place out. Went through the drive through, ordered a shake, and when I pulled up to the window, there are two employees with their backs to the drive through window, talking with other employees. I had to wait over five minutes before I had to honk twice for then to turn around. When they turned around and opened the window they literally said "what's up?" I sure hope that their customer service improves. The shake I ordered was not bad at all but at 6 dollars for a little shake, it seems to be a little bit overpriced. read more

This is my first time trying Shake Shack. I tried the Shack burger and Parmesan fries with truffle sauce. The burger was on this small bun that didn't match the patty size. The burger was fair and not worth the price. The fries were delicious with the sauce. I ended up paying a little over $18 for the meal. Not worth it. I should have gone to Five Guys. read more

Finally made it to Shake Shack on Katy Freeway. The two security vehicles and unusual location for a stop sign should have been my first clue. I was unable to determine why the drive/thru wait was so long when only two cars were in front of me. Paying at the order screen was new unless you are paying with cash. My burger was plain, I wasn't offered any condiments. The burger has an odd shape, didn't fit the bun and was tasteless. They were out of avocados and bacon two weeks after opening. Too over priced. Burgers are tiny and over priced. Tasteless saltless crinkle cut fries and a half lemonade half tea drink called a fifty fifty that that tastes like water. We went through the drive through to order our food. The employees were nice, the menu was easy to read & you were actually able to pay right at the speaker which is pretty cool. We ordered 2 burgers, 2 fries & 2 shakes. We spent $37.60. The burgers were very delicious, the meat tasted good & the buns were so soft. The fries were very good with a great amount of seasoning/salt. The shakes were EXTREMELY tasty. I finished my shake before getting back to my house. It'll be nice if they had different size shakes because I'd get a large for sure. The reason for 4 stars is that the pricing is a little high. Even though the pricing is high, it's still a great place to get food & im definitely coming back again, often, especially for the shakes ! read more

I've been to many shake shacks over the years but our local business has some ISSUES. 4 visits amongst the family and not a single order right or complete. Shake Shack is a solid 4.5 stars for me, so I've been wanting patiently for the Shake Shack in Katy to open. Today was the soft opening, which I got an invitation to, and it did not disappoint! I had my favorite, a Shack Stack which is a cheeseburger with a cheese stuffed and fried portobello mushroom on top! Delicious. My only complaint is I asked for it plain/dry and it had lettuce, tomatoes, and Shake sauce (I want meat, mushroom, cheese, bun, period!) I'm assuming the error was because they just opened. I moved here from NYC, where I had Shake Shack frequently at Times Square & 34th Street. Was super excited when I found out this was coming to our neck of the woods. Been at this location about 5 times thus far. Each time service was extremely slow. During my first visit I stood inside waiting for my order for over 30 minutes. They forgot about me, and did not have the common courtesy to apologize. This location is super skimpy on French fries. I order French fries each time (I love fries), and they barely add any to the box. This or frustrating because I spend too much $ on cheese fries for this to be okay. We've been twice now, going inside both times. Ive decided if I want self service, I'll either stay home or use the drive thru (food and shakes are good). Both times employees are standing around ignoring the customers. Like others have said you are paying a lot for the food. I would give zero stars if I could. The food was a bit pricey for what we received. The portions are very small. Worst of all their customer service is non existent . They somehow messed up our order and it took 30 minutes to come out. When it did it was COLD not even lukewarm. They redid our order and it came out better but not great... it was brought out by the "manager " who gave a half hearted sorry and just shrugged and walked off. He acted as if he was sleepy or sleeping in the back and had been bothered to bring out our food. The ambiance was awkward especially since the customer service was lacking ... shake shack seemed to be the hang out for all the workers. There were 6-8 high school aged employees kids hanging out at a booth.people who were in the kitchen and working behind the counter were hanging out and visiting and horse playing as well.
