Came in here for just a shake. They were out of the Dubai chocolate shake by 8pm. Ordered at the kiosk and they ran out of numbered plaques. It wasn't tremendously busy but somehow there's a back log of customers waiting for their food at the tables and at takeout. I waited 15 mins for a shake when the restaurant was not full. Also the restaurant looked like it went through a tornado with fries, wrappers sauces on the floor. The bathroom was locked but overflowing with paper over the paper bin

Solid shake shack. Overall fast and efficient service. The ambience was pretty clean for the area. The food was good as expected from Shake shack. The restroom was a challenge, they told me to look for the code on the napkin box, but it was hard to get the numbers down (particularly since the napkin box was where people were sitting).

Came to Shake Shack at The Wharf with my girl. The wait was about 15 minutes, which felt long since it wasn't that busy--and no one was at the register or gave any updates while we stood there. That said, the food was definitely worth the wait and the price. Everything was fresh, hot, and honestly hit the spot. Only issue? I asked for no pickles on my burger and still got them--which wasn't a dealbreaker, but definitely annoying when you customize your order ahead of time. Overall, solid experience with a couple hiccups. I'd come back, but double check your order just in case.

Hard pass... if you're a tourist and you've never ever been to Shake Shack then maybe you can do it just to try it. But I generally wouldn't recommend it. I've heard great things about this infamous burger chain and I could not have been more disappointed. I ordered a cheeseburger with some fixins and it comes out looking like a flaccid cafeteria burger that you pay 8 dollars for. The patty was very dry and tasted like overcooked frozen low grade discounted beef. The bun was actually decent but it couldn't save this disappointment. Food: 2/10 Value: 3/10

As usual, Shake Shack doesn't disappoint. I ordered via their app for pickup and received my food not only on time, my food was still piping hot. Pickup was fuss free and easy. I waited for about 8mins for my food to be ready. Love the food, love the quick service. The seating area is big and is great for big groups. There are 2 self-service kiosks for quick ordering. I highly recommend that when the line is long.

Ordered a veggie burger and it was very good. Shakes were yummy too, creamy and not overly sweet. Decent and prompt service. Located on the Wharf, the whole area had a vibrant night life vibe on the weekend we popped in. Really enjoyed our time there.

Came through for the Dubai chocolate shake, stayed for the burger. Everything was delicious if not small for ~$10 / burger. Bathroom was horrific with standing water. Wait time for food was the longest of any location in DC.

First time visiting the Wharf and we made a quick stop to Shake Shack for some milkshakes. Ordered at the kiosk as soon as we entered. It was pretty busy so my lucky number was my order number (Yay). It was sort of a long wait for our milkshakes but, again it was crowded. Milkshakes were a nice sweet treat as we walk around the Wharf area. The milkshake was very good and crunchies were the best part. We definitely return when back in the area

If you're looking for a casual and satisfying meal near the waterfront (and didn't get a reservation at one of the upscale restaurants on the Wharf), you can't go wrong with Shake Shack. Most of the restaurants on the waterfront were fully booked and didn't have capacity for my party of five, so we were very grateful when we discovered the Shake Shack. Ordering was easy and convenient with the Shack app, which allowed us to skip the long line to place an order. We received our food within 20 minutes, which was impressive considering how busy the place was. Everything hit the spot - the burger was juicy and flavorful, and the strawberry shake was THICK and creamy. It was exactly what I needed after a long day of sightseeing. The restaurant had plenty of seating options, with two floors of indoor tables and some limited outdoor seating as well. We enjoyed our meal and felt like we got good value for our money. Shake Shack may not have been in our original travel plans, but it definitely came through.

Honestly we were so pleasantly surprised by how good the burgers are! I had the Capital Burger which had such incredible flavor and the burger itself is thick and juicy. Despite having just had a big dinner somewhere else, as I write this, my mouth is watering. My daughter had the wild mushrooms burger and she loved it -- the aioli had the perfect tang to go with the mushroom and Swiss, both burgers were cooked perfectly medium as requested. The old fashioned was just your typical old fashioned with a slice of candied bacon attached to the outside of the glass. We were hoping for something smokier and a little different but it was still a very good Old Fashioned. We shared the chocolate mousse and it was perfection. Yum! If I lived here this would be my new regular spot.

Super popular tourist spot (and with good reason!),I def reccomend making a reservation. Luckily for my visit on a Saturday at 1pm, the wait to be seated wasn't too long, only about 10 minutes. I've never had oysters anywhere besides New York so I wanted to try them here and my mom got the fried oyster deviled eggs. Our sever Stephanie was such a delight and probably has the coolest pin collection I've ever seen. Also the restaurant just has a really beautiful atmosphere to sit down and enjoy some really great hospitality. Onto the food! Oysters were smaller than I thought they'd be but SO FLAVORFUL and just the right amount of brine, and slid beautifully from the shell 10/10 The deviled eggs were given a 10/10, presentation was beautiful and the pickled relish was a well rounded addition We then finished up by sharing the cheasapeake eggs Benedict! Which featured their famous crab cake. The HOLLANDAISE?? literally danced in my mouth. The crab meat was so tender and buttery! Only difference I would've loved if the smoked paprika that was on the deviled eggs to also be featured on the Benedict! Over all it was a very lovely and sense awakening experience 9/10

It's moved around a bit over the years and the exact original location is a mystery. The restaurant story is just the start. The food of course is where it's at. Old Ebbitt is famous for it's crab cakes according to the server so you know what direction I went in. They were more like a Maryland crab cake which has a ton of meat. We were at their lunch dining so salads were also ordered and tasted amazing. Finished the mean off with a Key Lime Pie and coffee. Reservations are highly recommended given its popularity. They also asked that all attendees in your party are present so remember that to be seated. Situated near the White House, and directly across the street from The Department of Treasury, it's an ideal spot for a meal before or after site seeing. What's clear about Old Ebbitt Grill is its longstanding appeal. President McKinley was such a fan he reportedly lived there during his Congressional days. Presidents Grant, Johnson, Cleveland, and Roosevelt all stopped in, basically making it a hot spot in Washington. If it's President approved you should go also!
