    Double ShackBurger The Fit Way
    David J.

Ordered on the app during my lunch break. I recommend ordering on the app to beat the line and to save on fries ($3 on the app) and drinks (soda is $1 on the app). The location is pretty spacious with outdoor area to dine too. The location was clean overall. The good fit ShackBurger and Coke Zero came out perfectly.

Great location, plenty of seats and clean. Great service. Even on a busy night there's plenty of seats and food is prepared quickly, we loved the crinkle cut fries, cheese sauce was tasty and velvety. The smoke and regular shack burgers were amazing. Loved the cherry peppers on the smoke burger. Recommend if you want a quick burger.

Wow when I saw $7.49 for a Shake Single I realized how long it's been since I had one! 07/08/23

Shake Shack was a disappointment today. It's my daughter's birthday weekend so I told her we would shop wherever she wanted and I would buy her lunch in the hood. Before we went home we stopped by Shack and since it was open and we haven't been in a while, she said she would like a burger. Ordering was easy and while my daughter waited for our food I used the bathroom. I told my daughter if she wasn't ready to eat she could take hers home but I had to eat! I ordered a Flat Dog with Cheese and a Single Scoop of Chocolate Ice Cream for my side. The ice cream was the best part of the meal. The hot dog was so tough to bite into and definitely overcooked. I sure hope I can digest it. My daughter took photos of her lunch that she ate when she arrived home. She said her hamburger was definitely overcooked also. No complaints about the fries. All I can say is after spending over $24 for lunch I won't be returning any time soon! We agreed on Three Stars for overcooking the meat! Forgot! I had to return to the counter because I paid extra for cheese on my hotdog and it was dry. They did give me a good helping of cheese and it's very tasty but how do you forget something like that. It was definitely charged on my receipt. I'm tempted to make it two stars because of the bathroom too. Employees take up too much time in there!

Good, reliable Shake Shack location on the upper east side. Very spacious and solid location near the 4/5/6 trains. Service generally good and efficient. Note the pick up for online orders is near the ramp entrance, could help you save a couple minutes. Solid location, it's always packed!

You are almost certainly familiar with Shake Shack. It's a respectable member of the fast casual tier, alongside chains like Five Guys and Smashburger. The food here is a fair representation of Shake Shack offerings. There are fewer varieties of burger and less toppings than Smash Burger but more than Five Guys. The crinkle fries are bit softer than my preference, but at least not overly greasy. The chicken sandwiches are solid and on par with the burgers. As to this specific location, it's busy and a bit chaotic. I would definitely avoid the restrooms--they are gross even by New York public toilet standards. On the plus side, it has a nice outdoor seating area, but you'll have to ignore the sticky tables. I would probably not recommend this Shake Shack over the nearby options.

One of the items on my list was to visit a Shake Shack and try what's been labeled America's best burger. (Flash forward, while I absolutely loved it, it just can't beat In-N-Out.) Our experience here was fantastic. We chose a location on our walk when we needed a break and a snack. This one was down a flight of stairs off the main street, with outdoor seating adjacent. They also had restrooms at the back. The menu here is simple, with burgers, fries, shakes, and drinks. Another draw for me was finally getting to try a Brooklyn Brewery Shakemeister beer brewed just for the chain. It was a great pairing, one I recommend to all burger & beer fans. Their prices are super reasonable for the quality of the sandwich - the bun was fresh, meat cooked well and great quality, and produce fresh and crisp. Staff here was also super patient helping us order and bringing our food. I highly recommend trying a Shake Shack (whether this location or another) to all burger fans out there.

Very few seats available at this location, unless you're willing to eat outside in the cold. Burgers are solid as usual. Got the double Avocado Burger Burger and loved it.

Single ShackBurger with add-ons (free with coupon; regular ~$8) & Crinkle Cut Fries (~$4)

Ordered: Single ShackBurger (free with coupon; regular ~$8): Angus beef cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onions (free add-on), pickles (free add-on) and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun Crinkle Cut Fries (~$4) Aya's take: Shake Shack probably has the best burger made by a fast food chain. I stopped by to redeem a free coupon; I placed my order on the app, it was ready at the exact estimated time. Now I've always felt like the ShackBurger was missing something - onions & pickles! Lettuce & tomato are just not enough. But did you know you can add them for free!? We love that! The potato bun was super soft, the beef cheeseburger was fresh, tasty, and crispy around the edges. The toppings were fresh, crisp, and balanced out this burger nicely. The Shack sauce is an absolute must; I even got an extra side to go with my fries. And we know you can't eat a ShackBurger without those deliciously addicting Crinkle Cut Fries. Pricier than most other fast food options but you really are getting a quality burger & fries combo.

"Spicy Korean BBQ Fries" are new to Shake Shack. To me they were just French fries sprinkled with red chili powder. No great shakes here. These could be touted as Korean or they could be Indian or Timbuktu. A pale brownish barbecue sauce accompanied these fries. I took two three bites and left them. My concentration and joy was yet another hot dog here. Plenty of tables were free so I sat at one and a server brought me my food. The interior was fairly bright but being in the basement only the light from the windows come in.

Friendly staff, nice outdoor space (could use a wipe down). Food was ok. I don't get it. Wendys' JBC taste better. Church's chicken crinkle fries is better. Is it me bad ordering the wrong items...

I can't believe I haven't written a review of Shake Shack yet. They have solid burgers. The quality is consistent and they use fresh ingredients (never frozen beef and chicken). I recommend downloading their app since they occasionally have deals for app users, like a buy one get one free Shackburger deal that's available now. Shackburger- ($6.69 plus tax)- a thin griddled burger comes adorned with cheese, lettuce, tomato, shack sauce (mayo, mustard, ketchup, a little pickle brine, a little heat and some secret ingredient(s)). You can add pickles to your burger for free, so why not. If you're pretty hungry, I'd recommend making it a double with two burger patties. They also have frozen custard, shakes, good lemonades, fries. The cheese sauce is yummy- like melted American cheese that is thick and great. I like to dip fries in this sauce. Back in the day they had these concretes, frozen custard with mix-ins. Shake Shack, please bring these back! This would make me a very happy camper. Anyway, it's a solid spot for better quality food that's fast. Can't be compared with the typical fast food spots in my opinion.

3.5* Came at 2 in the afternoon, and was intrigued by their Buffalo chicken sandwich. Waited probably 15 minutes- not a problem. Sat outside to eat which was nice. The sandwich was underwhelming - the chicken piece was a bit small but the flavor was good! It's not spicy, definitely a mild Buffalo sauce but it DID taste good! I just wish it was a bigger piece of chicken. Also tried their spiced cheese fries - they were fine. After a while the cheese tasted like a Mac & cheese sauce so it was very confusing. The spice didn't add too much..I honestly just prefer a well salted fry. Honestly, I'd just stick to their burgers and what they do best! But this location is awesome with the outdoor seating.

Also, an obvious side note- You wonder how a place that's been open for, I believe, a year and a half has 1500 Google Reviews? It's because they give you a free soda if you write a 5-star review, so I guess if you have a palate for Polar sodas, you can give them a five on that site. If you're going to get anything, go for the tender combo, as their sliders, burgers, and buns are bad. Anyway, it's nice to find a Zabiha Halal spot that serves burgers and other American grub in this neighborhood. I used to frequent somewhat similar spots back in the Arabic neighborhood I lived near in Brooklyn, and it was nice to see this place open a while back. I have tried a handful of things here, and honestly, it's gotten worse every time. The first time, I got the tenders consisting of six pieces for $14, which is honestly very reasonable. The thinner pieces were a tad dry, as the batter had become overly fried, but it's hard to complain about the price point. They also came with a perfectly alright sauce called Mambo, which they list as spicy but is as hot as a spicy McNugget or similar with a light sweetness. The second time, I had the Slider Combo for $7.99, which came with two chicken sliders (spicy if wanted,) fries, and a Polar soda. The fries were honestly nice and better quality than those at any nearby fast-food place. The sliders were dreadful, however. They were dry with overly breaded chicken with no pickles or anything else to help, so I guess that's why it comes with a soda or water. This doesn't help the even worse bun, which was dry as well, and makes a Martin's potato roll look like a Rolls-Royce. The Polar drink was, as expected, a worse Diet Coke. The last time, and the last time I'll ever stop in here, I got the Classic Burger, which is their smash patty with American cheese, holy sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion. This was the worst burger I've had in ages and easily the worst smashburger, with the meat somehow being dry. I guess the bun was different as it was larger, but also as the top was charred better than the burger meat. Maybe the signature burger for $4 more is better, but I'm never going to stop for it if they're careless enough to burn a burger bun. 3 stars for the chicken tenders due to the deal. 2 stars for the slider combo, as the fries were decent. 0.5 stars for the burger. 2/5

For my entree, I ordered the vodka rigatoni and a side of buttered broccoli. The vodka rigatoni was really good - liked the flavor and a decent size of pasta. The broccoli was really good for some reason to me. Also tried the truffle mac and cheese which was incredibly rich and tasted great. As a dessert, we had the chocolate pie which was dense, rich, and topped with a huge dollop of whipped topping. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, loud roaring 20s style with jazz playing.
