First the price for an all you can eat, which seemed a bit steep was $32.00. Stopped in at around 8:15 which was 45 minutes before closing on a Wednesday. Restaurant was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. Ordered a personal PCM, paid my $ and was given a number. Pizzas were coming out of the oven, and the manager was frying chicken which had about 12 minutes left when I ordered. Struck up a conversation with the manager, they got hit with a rush and he was dropping chicken and mojos for a group that came in. (The cooked items weren't enough to cover the bigger order). Communication was great as he let me know that it would be a few minutes for my chicken, also talked to the table that was waiting for chicken and made sure they were informed of the situation. Went here to redeem my birthday coupon and it's still as good as I remember. i had to go during my lunch break because you can only go during bunch of lunch buffet hours. I was able to break free from work and it was worth it. Food was fresh and everything look good and tasted good. Very simple buffet but it did it's job to satisfy me. read more

Came here with coworkers on a whim who wanted to come here for some reason. The pizza was not appetizing at all when seeing them under the heat lamps. Since I already paid, I got a slice of the pepperoni and the equivalent of a supreme pizza. I also took one of the fried chicken and the steamed vegetables. You would be better off buying frozen pizza from the grocery store than eating here. The vegetables were also questionable and completely unseasoned. Came here for lunch on a Saturday while visiting Irvine,CA. We usually include a trip to Shakey's whenever we go to LA. Food was served hot and had good quality - pizza was not burnt and chicken was not dry. We were impressed. Ambiance - usual Shakey's vibe. We sat in a booth and the seat had an area with grease on it. The lady who took our order by the cashier was nice, friendly and helpful. The gentleman who brought the food to our table had a great demeanor - happy about this location's customer service. The arcade is of good size. The only thing which I noticed was that the tables and chairs were arranged such that there are 3 long rows - which does not provide any privacy since you are seated beside another party. Fortunately, there was an available booth when we were there. The next time we are in the area, we will definitely return to this location. read more

Nice play with beer & games. Our son got a coupon for this pizza shop from school so we all decided to go on a Saturday to use it. Thankful we intended on getting additional for because the pizza they give for free was tiny lol. The pizza was great. Chicken tenders were decent. Service was prompt. The staff seemed to be a little short but they were attending to everyone as best as they could. This is a nice place to take your family and kids. We planned a night out at Shakey's for an end of season celebration for our flag football team. We reserved 3 weeks in advance for 40 people. We also called to confirm the morning of the event. When we arrived, they did not have our tables reserved. When we tried to address it to whomever was in charge that night, they did nothing to help us with this crappy situation. We had 10 littles as well all of the parents standing around waiting. It was stressful and disappointing. There was a long line out the door to order and when finally did order, it took a very long to get our food. Super disappointing! And this Shakey's location dropped the ball. We will not be planning any events here in the future. If you're looking for a place to plan a team gathering, go somewhere more reliable and accountable. read more

Bunch a lunch NOT WORTH IT! Paid $14 on a Monday at 1pm and there were 4 pizzas out under warmers. Grabbed two slices and they were old as was the chicken. In the 30 min we were there only 1 fresh pizza was produced which was a pepperoni. The whole point of going was for variety of fresh pizzas. Never again. Better off ordering a pizza/chicken plate. I didn't bother reading the other reviews because I didn't want to sully my experience. I came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. The place was semi packed. But it did not feel overwhelming. I am so glad that it surived the pandemic. I get everything I like here. Pizza! yum! Dessert Pizza? Yum! Salad? Yum! Mojo potatoes? yes very yum! The food was great, fresh, hot and plentiful as it was during the lunch buffet hours. The cost was reasonable and the portions were very good. YIKES...this place is very shady. They had semi-homeless people there that smelled pretty bad sitting next to the buffet which made it really hard for me to enjoy my meal. The lunch buffet was about $18.00 with a drink. I would rather have gone to McDonald's and saved $8.00 and had a better meal. The pizza selection wasn't that great and the pizza itself was just OK. Nothing special at all. They had some "government food" selections which consisted of corn, fake mashed potatoes, Ragu spaghetti sauce, and limp noodles. I skipped all of that. The fried chicken was the only semi-decent thing they had. There was also a salad bar and that was OK. It's been 30 years since I've been to Shakey's old town pizza restaurant. They used to show the three stooges, comedies in black and white. This location had Spanish Telenovela's, On the big screen. It was nice seeing a play area still for the kids, with raffle tickets. That was a surprise. Very shady and upsetting. Google, maps and yelp all said this place closed at 10pm. We got there a little before 9pm. We received our food really fast, a large pizza with a large order of mojo potatoes. Around 9:24pm, the manager, at least seemed like he was, stops and tells us we have 5 min to stay but "welcome." What? You're giving us 5 min to leave? Yet everywhere it states that they close at 10pm. So I went to the door to check the schedule, to give them the benefit of the doubt, since we got the schedule from the internet, but the schedule was no where to be found. There is no schedule anywhere. That was very upsetting. Seems to me they make up their schedule whenever they want to close. Which is fine at your own establishment, but this a classic cooperation, where the sign is so recognizable, it's welcoming and comforting to people not from the area just looking for a place to sit and eat the pizza and Mojos that for sure aren't going to disappoint. As the food did not disappoint, nor the service, nor the cleanliness of the place, the kicking is out definitely left a sour taste in our mouth. It's very sad and a bad look to Shakey's. read more

Came here last week after my son got a "no cavity" award from the dentist and he received a coupon for a free kid's size pizza. It was around 3pm and there weren't many other people eating but the staff was extremely friendly and they kept the place clean.
